Encontra-se presente em quase todos os textos freudianos, e atravessa todo o processo de análise. Está implicada numa série de fenômenos relacionados aos conflitos intrapsíquicos, mas também aos que dizem respeito à relação intersubjetiva. Nossa investigação teve origem na experiência clínica com um tipo de paciente muito resistente, que se mantém em análise, mas recusa passivamente a intervenção analítica, dando um caráter de estagnação ao processo. Revisitamos alguns textos técnicos e da metapsicologia freudiana, além de trabalhos contemporâneos. O conceito de resistência é extensamente examinado, no sentido de estabelecermos seu estatuto de conceito próprio. Alguns autores, além de Freud, formam a base de compreensão desse processo: Ferenczi, Winnicott e Green. A articulação entre a experiência clínica e a investigação na teoria psicanalítica sugere três questões básicas referentes à resistência: ela é fundante do psiquismo, sofre a influência do outro em sua constituição e transforma-se num elemento importante de delimitação entre o mundo interno e externo, que forma a realidade psíquica, caracterizando sua dupla função na proteção e organização do psiquismo contra fontes de desprazer. A resistência é uma força que se contrapõe à força das pulsões, e protege o eu do conflito pulsional recalcado, dando-lhe oportunidade de responder à realidade, transformando o desamparo diante do desprazer em um estado tolerável. Essas e outras questões são tratadas ao longo deste trabalho, que considera a resistência um conceito fundamental na compreensão das formas de sofrimento psíquico contemporâneo. Este estudo pretende avançar no conhecimento do psiquismo, buscando as implicações para a prática analítica. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / Resistance is a fundamental concept of psychoanalysis. It is present in almost all Freudian texts, and permeates throughout the analytic process. It is implicated in intrapsychic conflicts as well as in intersubjective relations. Our research arises from clinical experience with a kind of very resistant patient, that continues analysis, but passively refuses intervention on the analyst’s part, so that the analytical process become inert. We revisit some Freudian technical and metapsychological texts, besides several contemporary works. The concept of resistance is extensively examined, in such way as to establish its status as an independent concept. Besides Freud, the work of three main authors became the foundation upon which rests our study: Ferenczi, Winnicott and Green. A combination of clinical experience and investigations into psychoanalytical theory suggests three basic questions about resistance: it is one of the foundations of the psychism, it suffers influence of the other in its constitution and it becomes an important element in the delimitation between the inner and external world, characterizing its double function in the protection and organization of the psychism against sources of displeasure. Resistance is a force that refutes the drive forces, and protects the I from the repressed conflictual drives, giving the I an opportunity to reality, transforming the sensation of helplessness before displeasure into a bearable state. These and other issues are covered throughout this work, which considers the resistance as a concept that is fundamental towards understanding the various forms of contemporary psychic suffering. The goal of our research is to increase our knowledge of the psychism, while searching for its implications in analytical practices.

The concept it is worked in the intersection of sociology, the psychoanalysis and literature. It is not any kind of violence, but that we call virtuous violence , that in the name of a greater good happens and is justified when violence is disguised as a virtue. For this, the conducting line of the research will be the psychic and social representations of the violence, supported in one of the basic concepts of the psychoanalysis, the impulse and the social justification that each season builds to justify their violence. For and, the violence virtue concept will find a frame, the book of Dostoiévski, Crime and Punishment, with the conflict of the main character Raskólnikov and his theory about the crime allowed / A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo levantar questões acerca do conceito de violência, esse trabalhado na intersecção da sociologia, da psicanálise e da literatura. Não se trata de qualquer espécie de violência, mas aquela que chamamos de violência virtuosa‟, aquela que em nome de um bem maior acontece e é justificada quando a violência se disfarça de virtude. Para tanto, como fio condutor da pesquisa procuraremos trabalhar as representações psíquicas e sociais da violência, apoiados em um dos conceitos fundamentais da psicanálise, a pulsão e as justificativas sociais que cada época constrói para a sua violência. Por fim, tal conceito de violência virtuosa‟ encontrará uma moldura, a obra de Dostoiévski, Crime e castigo, com o conflito do personagem central Raskólnikov e a sua teoria quanto ao crime permitido‟.
