En las producciones audiovisuales se utilizan modelos arquetípicos de personajes para causar un efecto de identificación por parte del público con lo que está observando. Los modelos clásicos de construcción de historias suelen ser “el bien vs el mal'', inspirados en la estructura de composición narrativa que se utilizó en la Biblia. En el cine actual, muchos de los films del género terror retratan como antagonista a un miembro del clero, religiosos extremistas e incluso, como solución al obstáculo principal de la trama, se propone realizar algún rito cristiano, por ejemplo, practicando exorcismos. Por otro lado, en el género de horror, esta relación con la simbología cristiana no se suele apreciar tan explícita. Debido a que se muestran crímenes muy sangrientos y otros actos violentos. En este artículo se propone realizar un estudio cualitativo que usará la técnica del análisis de contenido. Para desglosar la composición de los personajes de la cuarta temporada de la serie de Televisión “American Horror Story: Freak Show” y luego establecer su paralelo con la simbología cristiana. / In audiovisual productions archetypal models of characters are used to cause an effect of identification on the part of the public with what they are observing. In today's cinema, many of the films of the horror genre portray a member of the clergy, religious extremists as antagonists and even, as a solution to the main obstacle of the plot, it is proposed to carry out a Christian rite, for example, practicing exorcisms. On the other hand, in the horror genre, this relationship with Christian symbolism is not usually appreciated so explicitly. Because very bloody crimes and other violent acts are shown. This article proposes to carry out a qualitative study that will use the content analysis technique. El presente trabajo surgió a partir de las investigaciones relacionadas a las transformaciones y/o cambios que presenta el género de las telenovelas en relación a los personajes femeninos. Específicamente, se tiene como propósito investigar acerca de la percepción de la audiencia femenina con respecto a estas transformaciones que presentan los personajes femeninos en las telenovelas peruanas contemporáneas. Para ello, se retoman las discusiones sobre la representación de la mujer en el género de las telenovelas asociado a la construcción de los personajes. Como estrategia metodológica, se propone un estudio cualitativo basado en entrevistas a mujeres peruanas que hayan visto las telenovelas “En la piel de Alicia” o “Leonela, muriendo de amor”. A partir de ello se espera comprender en qué medida la audiencia percibe los cambios en la representación de la mujer, específicamente, cuáles son las transformaciones o permanencia que la audiencia femenina reconoce con respecto a las dimensiones físicas, psicológicas y sociales en la representación de la mujer en las telenovelas escogidas. / The present work arose from the investigations related to the transformations and/or changes that soap operas have presented in relation to female characters. Specifically, it is orientated to investigate the perception of female audience regarding the transformations that female characters display in contemporary Peruvian soap operas. In this sense, discussion on the representation of women in the genre of soap operas associated with the construction of the characters is reopened. As a methodological strategy, a qualitative study based on interview with Peruvian women who have seen the soap operas “En la piel de Alicia” or “Leonela, muriendo de amor” is proposed. The expected outcome is to understand to what extent the audience perceives the changes in the representation of women, specifically, what are the transformations or permanence that the female audience recognizes in physical, psychological and social dimensions in the representation of women in selected soap operas. / Trabajo de investigación

El trastorno de identidad disociativo es uno de los trastornos mentales más estudiados y menos comprendidos por la sociedad. A pesar de su incertidumbre, el trastorno ha sido utilizado como recurso narrativo en el cine desde la época del cine mudo. Los síntomas del trastorno representan una oportunidad para los guionistas y cineastas de explotarlos narrativamente, como se evidencia en la película Fight Club (1996) de David Fincher. No obstante, la representación de un trastorno mental en materiales audiovisuales puede presentar una dificultad si los personajes no presentan una base sólida. Por este motivo, en el presente trabajo analizamos cómo se representa el trastorno de identidad disociativo en la construcción del personaje protagónico de la película Fight Club, en específico en la dimensión psicológica del personaje. Asimismo, se busca analizar la representación del trastorno de identidad disociativo a través de los síntomas del personaje, sobre todo, si estos síntomas son precisos con el trastorno. Por lo tanto, el aporte principal de esta investigación consiste en brindar un mayor entendimiento de la representación del trastorno de identidad disociativo en el personaje de El Narrador de Fight Club. / Dissociative identity disorder is one of the most studied and least understood mental disorders by society. Despite its uncertainty, the disorder has been used as a narrative device in films since the silent film era. Symptoms of the disorder represent an opportunity for screenwriters and filmmakers, as depicted in David Fincher's 1996 film Fight Club. However, the representation of a mental disorder in films can be mistaken if the characters are not solid. For this reason, in this paper we analyze how dissociative identity disorder is represented in the construction of the leading character in the film Fight Club, specifically the psychological dimension of the character. Likewise, it seeks to analyze the representation of the dissociative identity disorder through the symptoms of the character, especially, how these symptoms are accurate regarding the mental illness. Therefore, the main contribution of this research consists of providing a greater understanding of the representation of dissociative identity disorder in the character The Narrator from Fight Club. / Trabajo de investigación

En los últimos años, los medios de comunicación han sufrido múltiples cambios. Gracias a los avances tecnológicos, se ha generado una relación más estrecha y directa con la audiencia, sobre todo al incluir el uso del internet como proceso paralelo al de ver televisión. Asimismo, junto a estos avances, la representación de los personajes protagónicos femeninos ha ido evolucionando en el contenido audiovisual. De ser representadas como las esposas perfectas o madres incondicionales, pasaron a ser las heroínas poderosas e independientes que disfrutan de su sexualidad. No obstante, en muchas producciones, aún prevalecen distintos estereotipos y roles de género, como los inalcanzables ideales de belleza. El objetivo principal de este estudio es reconocer la representación de los personajes protagónicos, Effy y Rue, en las series juveniles Skins y Euphoria reconocidos por los jóvenes peruanos, de 18 a 25 años, proponiendo así, cuáles son las características físicas, psicológicas y sociales de ellas, y si estas han experimentado una transformación con el paso del tiempo. / In the last few years, the media have undergone multiple changes. Thanks to technological advances, a closer and more direct relationship with the audience has been generated, especially by including the use of the internet as a parallel process to watching television. Likewise, along with these advances, the representation of female main characters has evolved in audiovisual content. From being portrayed as the perfect wives or unconditional mothers, they went on to be powerful and independent heroines who enjoy their sexuality. However, in many productions, different stereotypes and gender roles still prevail, such as the unreachable ideals of beauty. The main objective of this study is to recognize the representation of the main characters, Effy and Rue, in the series Skins and Euphoria made by young Peruvians, aged 18 to 25, thus proposing what their physical, psychological and social characteristics are, and if they have gone through a transformation over time. / Trabajo de investigación
