The theoretical basis has considered the Brazilian religious field, the Catholic Church, religious economics, religious marketing and the consumer behavior theory in the perspective of marketing, contextualizing marketing of relationship and co-creation of value, and while the verification of the proposed model considered the assessment of constructs of overall satisfaction, inhibiting and supportive elements, through a descriptive study in which the observation unit was the Catholic Church and the analysis unit were the Catholics. The factorial analysis made it possible to identify the existence of two large attributes which have been seen as of fundamental importance in the evaluation of Overall Satisfaction, which are Factor 1 = Affection and Factor 2 = Repentance. For the evaluation of Inhibiting Elements, the dimensions identified have been Factor 1 = Evangelization and Factor 2 = Dedication. On the evaluation of the construct of the Stimulating Elements, it has been found that there are three dimensions of attributes considered important, Factor 1 = Social Action, Factor 2 = Community and Factor 3 = Cultural. The results indicate an assessment of satisfaction dimly perceived, significantly considerably meaningful inhibiting elements and weak assessments of stimulating attitudes. It has been found significant differences in the analysis of the considered sample. The proposed model has allowed to observe the dimensions and variables that characterize the behavior of Catholics regarding the Catholic Church, allowing a systemic view of the attitudes that meet the expectations, or not, inhibit, or not, and encourage, or not, its followers / Esta tese analisa as atitudes de satisfação geral, inibidoras e incentivadoras dos católicos, em termos consolidados e por variação dos públicos dos católicos frequentes à missa, católicos não praticantes e católicos de dupla pertença.

Consumer behavior towards innovative products : which methodologies for which values?

Lobasenko, Valeriia 03 March 2017 (has links)
The general purpose of this thesis is to analyze the different types of values that determine and explain the choices and behavior of consumers with a particular focus on innovative products. Specifically, we want to know whether consumers are willing to pay for innovative products with sustainable features and how consumer preferences and characteristics of the product are involved in the process of the decision-making. In addition, we test new methods for such estimations. In the Chapter 1 we claim that individual preferences are reflected in willingness to pay for a product/service and are based on individual’s values. These values are stable for each individual, guide his/her preferences and actions as an individual (personal values) and as an economic agent (customer and consumer values). With the focus on the consumption of innovative and sustainable products, this thesis discusses also environmental and innovative values. The importance of value analysis for innovative products is of a high importance for companies, because it allows to anticipate preferences and their changes, and by this, helps to define the priorities of new product development processes. The complex systems of these values result in particular challenges for the estimation, discussed in Chapter 2. Therefore, the accuracy of WTP estimates depends on the choice of the method used by the researcher. The obtained results show that consumers have positive valuations of innovative products with sustainable characteristics. These valuations are based on consumers preferences and values inherent to him/her are an individual and as a consumer. The empirical studies presented in Chapters 3 and 4 offer two experimental approaches, which contribute to the understanding of consumer behavior towards innovative products and to the understanding of the difficulties and challenges for experimental methods of preference elicitation for these products/services. In addition, they demonstrate the validity of value theory in consumer behavior.

The association between luxury and sustainability : the impact of environmental and social attributes on the perceived quality of luxury products / L'association entre luxe et durabilité : l'impact des attributs environnementaux et sociaux sur la qualité perçue des produits de luxe

Alharbi, Fatmah 28 March 2017 (has links)
The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of sustainable attributes on the perceived quality of luxury products. To get to our goal, a complementary approach using both qualitative and quantitative studies has been adopted. In the qualitative method, two studies with professionals and consumers are conducted. For the quantitative method, we employed an experimental between-subject factorial design realized in France and Saudi Arabia. The key finding of our quantitative study is that mentioning sustainable information has a negative impact on the perceived quality of luxury products. However, while no significant effect is observed in the case of French respondents, Saudi consumers perceive a product to be of lower quality when sustainable information is presented compared to the absence of this information. More particularly, social information impacts strongly and negatively the perceived quality in contrary with environmental information which has no effect. This effect is moderated by the degree of liking of luxury, the CSR image, and consumers’ country of origin.

Voigt, Priscila 30 March 2007 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-12-01T19:18:43Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Priscila.pdf: 2978549 bytes, checksum: 5091020c228e38a3375d0dd63404a740 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2007-03-30 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The consumers behavior is a largely studied theme and the findings in said field guide the planning of many companies, comprising from the development to the communication of a product. The infant consumer has, more specifically, gained evidence since the sixties, being legitimately considered as an important element in the world of business. In Brazil, nonetheless, that is still an incipient field, with very little scientific literature published on same. Based on the importance of said market, opposed to mentioned scarce studies, present research aims at describing the child s behavior as a consumer deciding about the purchase. Through a qualitative research, with in-depth interviews with children aged 7 and 8 and their respective mothers, the study depicts the consumer s profile of that public, as well as its behavior in the purchase decision making process. It also displays the difference of perception between mothers and children on those issues. As a variable, there is the mother s occupation, characterized under three profiles: highly occupied mothers (HOM), mothers with a low level of occupation (LOM) and mothers with no occupation (NOM), as a proposal to identify differences in the consumption profile of the children, according to the physical presence of their mothers. Based on the decision making process theory of Blackwell, Miniard and Engel (2005), both the instrument of data collecting and the analyses of same, covered all the steps of the model proposed by the authors, thus making the outline of the consumer child possible in every stage of the deciding process. The results show up that children have a incipient consumer decision process. Children go shopping with an adult, the influence in family consumer is low, and mother occupation interferes in consumer process / O comportamento do consumidor é um tema amplamente estudado, e as descobertas neste campo direcionam o planejamento de muitas empresas, englobando desde o desenvolvimento à comunicação de um produto.

Sociala medier och köpbeslut : en studie inriktad på sociala mediers inflytande på konsumentensköpbeslut / Social Media and Purchase Decisions : a study focused on the influence of social media onconsumer buying decisions

Pondro, Izabelle, Olofsson, Isabell, Bibaj, Donjeta January 2020 (has links)
This essay is about how social media affects Swedish consumers purchasing decisions. New social media services such as Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram have gained a growing popularity among people. Intensive technology development has helped consumers to make their purchases in a variety of ways. The purpose of this thesis was to investigate how social media affects consumers purchasing decisions in relation to how consumers use social media when purchasing clothing products. The method approach chosen to be used is a quantitative method consisting of a survey. A selection was made where only women in the ages 20-50 have been studied. Finally, the results of the survey are reported. The result has been coded thru SPSS to clarify the relationships between the variables. The theory chapter seeks to provide a picture of the general impact that can occur in the consumers buying journey. As a result, the main theory, Instagram, the online buying process and e-WOM, which form the basis of the survey, are presented. Finally, the study's research model and how the different theoretical parts are connected are presented. Two hypotheses have also been developed to test whether a relationship exists between them. The results of the survey show that there are more options for purchasing ready-to-wear clothing online, where the consumers value availability, prices, convenience and information research when making the purchase. The respondents in the survey show that these features influence their purchasing decisions and that needs are the most important part of the buying process on Instagram. In addition, the study’s findings indicate that consumers' tendency toward impulse purchases has evolved using social media, such as Instagram. A conclusion is drawn, which shows that consumers active participation for entertainment on Instagram leads to them being exposed to advertisements and discounts that increase their buying desire and possible purchasing decisions.

Factors That Predict the Adoption of Online Shopping in Saudi Arabia

Nachar, Momen 01 January 2019 (has links)
Despite the increased numbers of online consumers, e-commerce growth is slow in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this correlational study, the technology acceptance model (TAM) was used as a theoretical framework to examine whether perceived ease of use of e-commerce platforms and perceived usefulness of e-commerce platforms could predict consumers' intention to adopt shopping online. A pre-existing TAM survey instrument was used to collect data from consumers (N = 95) who live in a City and have shopped at least once online. The regression analysis confirmed a positive statistically significant relationship between perceived ease of use of e-commerce platforms and consumers' intent to adopt online shopping. The results showed that perceived ease of use of e-commerce platforms and perceived usefulness of e-commerce platforms were statistically significant in predicting consumers' intent to adopt online shopping, with F(2, 92) = 241.630, p < .001, R2 = .840, and adjusted R2 = .837, and accounted for 84% of the variance in consumers' intent to adopt online shopping. The correlation between perceived ease of use and consumers' intent to adopt online shopping was (PEOU) r= .916, p < .001 and the correlation significance between perceived usefulness and consumers' intent to adopt online shopping was (PU) r= .591, p < .001. Using study results, retailers may be able to develop improved strategies to increase profitability via online shopping. The implications for positive social change include the potential for improved quality of life for consumers in Saudi Arabia.

Vaca Vaca, Jessica, Tanaveerapong, Patricia January 2019 (has links)
Over recent years it has become increasingly common for the general populous to use social media, especially for companies and consumers in the tourism industry. This affects the way potential consumers learn about new destinations and also influences their opinions on said places. The aim of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of how destination marketing is interpreted by consumers. In order to achieve this, two questions needed to be answered: How do consumers come across destination marketing on social media? and In what way do consumers feel destination marketing impacts their purchasing decisions? Interviews were conducted with 20 consumers to obtain qualitative data in order to gain an insight on the consumers perspective. Empirical data was analyzed using five different theories: Social Media Marketing, The Buyer Decision Process, WOM and eWOM, Personal Characteristics Affecting Consumers Behavior and Push- and Pull Factors. This study shows that consumers encounter destination marketing on social media often and also that destination marketing has a significant influence on consumers purchasing decisions as it encourages travel and allows selection of destination.
