Initial familiarization with the machine was followed by the proposition of a relevant block diagram and the definition of the usage limits, in aim to analyse the risks related to the use of such an enginery

This diploma thesis deals with the environmental protection. In the primary phase are described risks, which have impact on environment. Because is in this thesis placed emphasis on the environmental security, the term environmental security is here defined and furthermore is also described its content. Described risks and problems is possible to solve due to environmental policy. This term includes also Concept of environmental policy, which is analysed with the vision for 2020. The second main part of this diploma thesis consists of author’s own proposals about the environmental protection. Here is pointed out the necessity to create an objective legislation and good conditions for environmental education.

This master's thesis deals with replacement of the servlet container in Jenkins CI with server Undertow. In the thesis, general information about programs, which are related to this topic, are described and current state of the servlet container is analyzed. The result is newly created servlet container for Jenkins CI. Both versions of the Jenkins CI were performance tested and the new version gave better results.

The topic of my diploma thesis is analysis and design proposal of residential module, which will respect functional, constructional, technological, esthetic and ergonomic regularities. The proposal is focused on new solution of shape of the container type residential module.

This qualitative investigation addresses the notion of using the film The Matrix (Silver, & Wachowski, Wachowski, 1999) as a fortigenic tool. Fortigenesis is a process of developing strengths. Within the relatively new field of positive psychology (PP) the premise is that character strengths and virtues can be fostered to lead a better life with positive goals and richer meaning. This positive outlook has several links with existentialism. As such PP and existentialism were used as theoretical points of departure in this reading of the film. For this new field to grow, positive psychologists embrace the idea of using many foci. Hence many looking-glasses or lenses were used in this reading: these are PP, existentialism, philosophy, Christianity and fairy-tales. As a result, several PP notions such as self-efficacy, love, hope, courage, open-mindedness, creativity and faith and two existential themes, freedom of choice and will to meaning, were read into this motion picture. Thus conceptually, The Matrix is specifically explored as a filmic container. Its application as a fortigenic tool is highlighted through the use of Broaden-and-Build theory to validate and solidify constructs. Broaden-and-build theory is founded on the idea that positive emotions lead to a broadening of cognition (e.g. new and creative ways of thinking), which in turn allows for a broader repertoire of positive actions that people can consider. In industries, successful logistics management delivers higher performance and value (time, cost, profits, and quality). Projects involving ports logistics systems are complex to manage due to the level and number of entities to manage, such as the expensive equipment units and the interconnection of the flows of goods and information. In these complex projects, it is difficult to conduct experiments on the real logistics system to help management predict future strategies due to high costs, time and infrastructure constrains. Therefore, to achieve the objectives of managing ports logistics system it requires that managers select the best strategic tools and methods. Simulation is one of the best predictive and strategic tools which allows the use of real-time, real-world data collection to stage mathematical analyses of the “what-if” scenarios. This thesis presents a simulation model for a case study on the port container terminal transportation of the port of Gävle in Sweden. In this model, a simulation approach is developed with a high software engineering maintainability that enables companies to analyse and study various scenarios that are motivated by changes in different inputs to measure their impact on the outputs that include throughput, resource utilization and waiting times. This study method adopted a simulation that covered both qualitative and quantitative research approaches. The main contributions of this study are: (i) developing a simulation program helps improve visibility in decision making process at port industry.(ii) providing a guideline for designing the maintainability of simulation models (iii) The simulation model has proved to be an industrial solution for the case company and its various stakeholders.
