Searching through a literature review, following the trails of the maturation of Brazilian literature in Goiás basis on reference points as Teles (1983) and Jube (1978), they do a thorough literary and historiographical work on poetry in Goiás. The search also aims to associate the poetess to the tradition modernist poetic, by demonstrating in her work identification with the other, often placed in the margins and excluded from society, characteristics common in poets like Drummond and Flag. To this end, will be sought works as the ones from Yokozawa (2002) and Camargo (2004) pioneering analysis from the association of Cora Coralina to Modernism. Finally, it will seek the analysis of some poems that reveal the poetess' search for each other, showing their affliction, pain, and difficulty surviving in a society predominantly prejudiced, racist, sexist, so it will be brought to light as the characters prostitute, the washerwomen, the alleys and the boys hewers icons from the city of Goiás, but also with world characteristics in large urban centers. In this context will get several theoretical who enable such that approach, more specifically Auerbach (1946), Bhabha (2003), Britto (2006), Lima (2007) among others that by analyzing the location of other in the culture and society, point somehow for revealing obscure realities experienced in the outside world. / O presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar as representações do outro, propostos pela obra Poemas dos becos de Goiás e estórias mais da poeta e contista goiana, Ana Lins dos Guimarães Pexoto Bretas, batizada por si e para si de Cora Coralina. Busca, por meio de uma análise bibliográfica, percorrer os caminhos do amadurecimento da literatura brasileira em Goiás, tendo para isso pontos de referência como Teles (1983) e Jube (1978), que fazem um minucioso trabalho historiográfico e literário sobre a poesia em Goiás. Busca-se ainda associar a poeta à tradição poética modernista, mostrando em sua obra uma identificação com o outro, muitas vezes colocado à margem e excluso da sociedade, características comuns em poetas como Drummond e Bandeira. Para isso, serão buscados estudos como o de Yokozawa (2002) e Camargo (2004) análises pioneiras na associação de Cora Coralina ao Modernismo. Por fim, buscar-se-á a análise de alguns poemas que evidenciem a busca da poeta pelo outro, mostrando suas aflições, dores e dificuldades em sobreviver em uma sociedade predominantemente preconceituosa, racista e machista, para isso serão trazidas a lume personagens como a prostituta, as lavadeiras, os becos e os meninos lenheiros, ícones da cidade de Goiás, mas também mundificados em grandes centros urbanos. Neste contexto buscar-se-á vários teóricos que possibilitem tal abordagem, de modo mais específico Auerbach (1946), Bhabha (2003), Britto (2006), Lima (2007) entre outros que ao perscrutarem o local do outro na cultura e na sociedade apontam de certa forma por revelar obscuras realidades vividas mundo a fora.
