Повышение конкурентоспособности и расширение номенклатуры продукции предприятия полного металлургического цикла за счёт совершенствования третьего передела : магистерская диссертация / Improving the competitiveness and expanding the product range of the enterprise of the full metallurgical cycle by improving the third processing

Голубев, С. А., Golubev, S. A. January 2021 (has links)
The aim of the work is to increase the competitiveness and expand the product range of the enterprise of the full metallurgical cycle by improving the third processing. The main methods were developed and requirements were formulated for the implemented measures for the installation of a hydraulic scale breaker, automation of the synchronization of stands, a system for measuring the geometry of the rolled profile, devices for accelerated cooling of rolled products and the introduction of new steel grades.

An examination of the history and effect of American sex offense laws and offender registration

Shabat-Love, David 01 May 2012 (has links)
America's Sex Offense statutes and cases are some of the most controversial sections of modern law, both for the extreme sensitivity of their subject matter as well as the scope and application of those laws. This thesis is an analysis and overview of both the objective and subjective issues posed by the current state of those very laws: the subjective portion explored the development of current laws and the diverse attendant legal issues such as over-broadness and excessive or misdirected effect as compared to the Legislative and public intent which directly led to the development of these laws. Additionally a more objective study of their efficacy was conducted through the use of data regarding offense rates by locality. This objective data was procured from both the United States Census and Bureau of Justice statistics, which contained national averages such as the overall violent crime rate, and from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Statistics and was supplemented with additional data from other academic sources. It is both the subjective conclusion and the interpretation of objective data that while the rate of sex offenses has lowered in recent decades this effect is a part of the overall trend of reduction in all violent offenses, and that the extreme stance of modern sex offense laws have arguably resulted in the net-negative of creating a class of individuals ostracized from all but other sex offenders who are virtually incapable of supporting themselves or at times of even finding legal habitation post-release. With little to no chance of a productive life, there is the strong possibility of recidivism and little incentive to avoid re-offending.

Improving On-Site Immersion and Operating Performance in a Crane Simulator by Integrating Virtual Reality and Audio

Sjöqvist Obucina, Nicholas, Issa, Sharokin January 2024 (has links)
The importance of cranes can not be understated, as they are essential in various fields. They require precision and heavy safety considerations when operated on-site since they are responsible for numerous accidents and even fatalities. Traditional methods for remote operation sometimes fail to depict the intricate scenarios that operators experience in on-site environments, resulting in worsened immersion and, potentially, performance. Accordingly, the immediate purpose of this thesis is to address this limitation by enhancing an existing crane simulator with virtual reality and audio integration. In order to validate the impact of the proposed improvements, the simulator underwent testing in an experimental environment that included 16 individuals. Each participant tested five versions of the simulator, all of which varied in their combination of machinery sounds, environmental sounds,  and VR, to assess the impact of the improvements by measuring their operating performance and on-site immersion. The research findings indicate that using virtual reality affects the realism and sense of presence of the simulator, enabling operators to be more immersed in the crane operation. The incorporation of sound, more specifically environmental and machine sounds, enriches the virtual environment by offering audio cues that accurately reflect real-world operations. The operating performance was, however, not significantly improved with the addition of VR and audio. The results obtained from questionnaires, interviews, and performance metrics show that the built-in improvements can potentially increase the safety and efficiency of crane operations.

Various Approaches to the Stochastic K-Server and Stacker-Crane Problems

Friedman, Alexander Daniel 29 June 2017 (has links)
In recent years there has been a trend towards large-scale logistics for individual members of the public, such as ride-sharing services and drone package delivery. Efficient coordination of pickups and deliveries is essential in order to keep costs and wait times down. In this thesis we present these types of problems in a more general framework, expanding applicability of our discussion to an even wider domain of problems. We present fast new al- gorithms with supporting theoretical and experimental analysis, providing certain guarantees about how close our algorithms compare to a theoretically optimal approach. / Master of Science / In recent years there has been a trend towards large-scale logistics for individual members of the public, such as ride-sharing services and drone package delivery. Výpočty jeřábových lan / Calculation of crane ropes

Fiala, Lukáš January 2019 (has links)
This master thesis deals with calculation of steel wire ropes for cranes. Concretely is acted about calculation of wire ropes overhead crane manufactured by KRÁLOVOPOLSKÁ a.s. designed for load capacities up to 25 000 kg, which is situated at hall of steelworks. Further, the calculation of wire ropes different overhead crane was made to compare the results. The solution includes calculation made using valid standards ČSN 27 0100, DIN 15020-1, FEM 1.001 and ČSN EN 13001-3-2. Finally, the procedures are evaluated and compared with each other.
