RTK-teknikens användningsområden

Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka om RTK – tekniken (Real Time Kinematik) i framtiden kan komma att användas vid lotsning i Sverige, ombord på fartyg med begränsat vattendjup under kölen.  Squateffekten påverkar fartyg vid passage över grunda partier i farleder och i kanaler. För att minska ner på squateffekten så kan man minska ned på farten eller ändra fartygets trim. Studien har utformats utefter en kvalitativ metod, som handlar om att man väljer att bearbeta och analysera sin information genom att verbala analysmetoder används. Detta har genomförts genom att intervjua ett antal utvalda lotsar som både är insatta samt mindre insatta i tekniken. På så sätt belystes olika aspekter på tekniken och ifall det finns andra områden som lotsarna kan ha nytta utav denna utrustning i sitt dagliga arbete. Vid genomförandet av uppsatsen valdes en systematisk litteraturstudie. Sökningar genomfördes globalt för att få fram information om var det skett olyckor pga. squateffektens inverkan samt vilka länder som genomfört tester ombord med RTK-tekniken. Resultatet av ett användande av RTK-tekniken är att lotsar och sjöbefäl har möjlighet att få reda på hur fartyget rör sig och när det då utsätts för squateffekten. Detta för RTK-tekniken har möjlighet att ge information om hur fartyget rör sig med en noggrannhet på 3-4 centimeter i alla led samt få en exaktare hastighet även i sidled. Det finns även möjlighet att få fram en tredimensionell bild över fartyget. Resultat visar också att det finns ett behov och intresse för fler tester med RTK-tekniken. Med stöd av RTK-tekniken finns det möjlighet att få fram en bättre positionering och att ha en bättre översikt på hur fartyget rör sig samt i vilken hastighet. Resultatet visade också att tekniken är användbar för lotsarna och på vilket sätt den kan underlätta i deras dagliga arbete. / The purpose of this study was to investigate whether RTK - technology (Real Time Kinematic) in the future may be used for piloting in Sweden, on board vessels with limited depth of water under the keel. The squat effect cured vessels when they passing over an area of shallow waters in a fairway or a channel. To reduce the squat effect it can be done to increase the speed or change the trim of the vessel. The study has been designed along a qualitative method, which is about one chooses to process and analyze their information by verbal analysis methods. This has been carried out by interviewing a number of selected pilots that are both familiar and less familiar with the technology. In this way, highlighted various aspects of the technology and whether there are other areas that pilots can use this equipment in their daily work. In the implementation of the essay was elected a systematic literature. It was conducted a global search to obtain information about where the accident occurred of the squat effect and which countries that have been tested this technology onboard. The result of the RTK-technology is that pilots and ship's officers have the opportunity to find out how the vessel is moving and when it is exposed of the squat effect. The RTK-technology are able to provide information how the vessel move with an accuracy of 3-4 centimeters at every stage and get a more exact speed even in sideways. It is also possible to obtain a three-dimensional image of the vessel. The results confirm that there is a need and an interest for further testing with the RTK-technology. The results also showed that the technology is useful for the pilots and how it can useful for them in their daily work.

The main problem in coastal areas is that urbanization occurs in a disorderly fashion and unsustainable, further aggravating the problems of coastal dynamics. The study area of this work is located on the southern coast of Pirangi do Norte beach to about 20km south of Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte in the Parnamirim City. This area has the length of approximately 1km, divided into three sections (Western, Central and Eastern) with a morphology consisting of a tableland at the top, sea cliffs in the West and Central parts and sand dunes in the Eastern section, both vegetated, and a coastal plain on the inferior part associated with the presence of beach rocks. This study aimed to analyze the erosion processes operating in the excerpt of Pirangi do Norte beach and assess the feasibility of their monitoring making use of DGPS (Global Positioning System Differential mode). During the work it was carried out a physical description of the area through photo-interpretation and site survey after measurement of the shoreline in the period between November 2004 and November 2009 and beach profiles between August 2005 and July 2006. The analysis of the results of the annual surveys showed the occurrence of variations of the shoreline along the stretch traveled. Sites are identified in advancement coast from the sea and it was verified in loco the presence of erosion with deposition of materials on the lower part of the coastal bluff, the former position of the shoreline, showing a false notion of advancing it. This leads to the conclusion that the data collected in a survey of the shoreline should always be accompanied by photographic records of the local area and with the highest rate of erosion, thus avoiding the mistake of treating the deposit materials as evidence of progress coast. At the end of the study, after a review of various works to mitigate the erosion in the coastal zone, it is recommended to the area of study the adoption of an artificial feeding of the beach, aiming the minimization of the erosive effects of the tides. Moreover, it is suggested that even the continuity of monitoring, maintenance of existing vegetation and control of the occupation on the edge of sea cliffs / Em meio a um cont?nuo aumento da busca e valoriza??o do espa?o na zona costeira, cresce tamb?m a preocupa??o sobre os processos erosivos caracter?sticos desta ?rea. O maior problema nas zonas litor?neas ? que a urbaniza??o ocorre de forma desordenada e insustent?vel, agravando ainda mais os problemas decorrentes da din?mica costeira. Foi realizada durante o trabalho uma caracteriza??o f?sica da ?rea por meio de fotointerpreta??o e vistoria local seguida de levantamentos da linha de costa no per?odo entre novembro de 2004 e novembro de 2009 e perfis de praia entre agosto de 2005 e julho de 2006. A an?lise sobre os resultados dos levantamentos anuais mostrou a ocorr?ncia de varia??es da linha de costa ao longo do trecho percorrido. Em locais identificados em planta como avan?o da costa em rela??o ao mar foi verificado in loco a presen?a de eros?o com dep?sito de materiais sobre o p? da fal?sia, antiga posi??o da linha de costa, dando a no??o de falso avan?o da mesma. Esse fato leva a conclus?o de que os dados coletados em um levantamento da linha de costa devem ser sempre acompanhados por registros fotogr?ficos da ?rea e locais com maior ?ndice de eros?o, evitando, assim, o equ?voco de tratar materiais de dep?sito como indicio de avan?o de costa. Short-Term Surface Velocity Changes During Summer in the Lower Part of the Ablation Area Using Differential GPS Survey, Storglaciären, Sweden / Korttidsvariationer i isflöde under sommaren i det nedre ablationsområdet på Storglaciären undersökta med differentiell GPS

short time scale. Four differential GPS stations were installed in the lower ablation area of Storglaciären in Sweden for one week in August 2012. The position data over the period were then compared with the environment information including temperature, precipitation, known hydrology and topography.The instantaneous velocity results show 9 acceleration events in correlation to temperature and precipitation. The increase of the meltwater inputs drive increases of the motion supposedly through water pressures and basal sliding.Strain determination using the stations geometry showed that the lower part of the survey area had an extensive behavior when the upper part was showing compressive properties. A deformation event occurring the 14th of august shows an elongation deformation along the centerline from the front of the glacier resulting in a lateral compression on the upper part due to shear stress closer to the margin.It was proposed that the force driving the elongation is due to the increase of water pressure on the front of the glacier where the internal hydrological system pass from a complex multi-branched system to a channelized output. / Syftet med detta projekt var att studera sambandet mellan en glaciärs hydrologi och isrörelse under korta tidsperioder (minuter till timmar). I augusti 2012 installerades fyra differentiella GPS-stationer under en veckas tid i nedre ablationsområdet på Storglaciären i Sverige. Positionsdata under perioden jämfördes sedan med miljöinformation inklusive temperatur, nederbörd, avrinning från glaciären och topografi.De uppskattade hastighetsresultaten visar på 9 olika accelerationshändelser som relaterar till tempe-ratur och nederbörd. En ökad införsel av smältvatten driver upp vattentrycket vid glaciärens botten som minskar friktionsmotståndet och glaciären får ökad basal glidning.Isdeformationsberäkningar mellan DGPS-stationerna visar att den nedre delen av undersök-ningsområdet hade extensionell deformation i isrörelseriktningen medan den övre delen visade kompression vinkelrätt mot denna riktning. Deformationshändelsen den 14 augusti visar det motsatta med extensionell deformation längs mittlinjen från fronten av glaciären vilket resulterar i en lateral kompression i den övre delen av det undersökta området kanske orsakade av skjuvspänning vid marginalen.Det föreslås att utsträckningen av glaciären under dessa händelser är på grund av en ökning av vattentrycket i det område där det interna subglaciala hydrologiska systemet ändras från en komplex multigrenade system högre upp i ablationsområdet till ett kanaliserat system vid fronten.

PRECISÃO DO POSICIONAMENTO RTK USANDO CORREÇÕES DIFERENCIAIS TRANSMITIDAS PELO SISTEMA NTRIP (RBMC-IP) / ACCURACY OF RTK POSITIONING USING DIFFERENTIAL CORRECTIONS TRANSMITTED BY THE SYSTEM NTRIP (RBMC-IP)

The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), in the last few years, has been supporting the development of mobile telephony and the expansion of electronic equipments (GNSS receivers) to promote a revolution in geodetic surveys in real time. In this context, it becomes important the technique of positioning Real Time Kinematic (RTK) with the use of differential corrections transmitted by the protocol named Networked Transport of RTCM via the Internet Protocol (NTRIP), from a reference station via Internet. It is aimed, in this research, the evaluation of the precision of this technique for different lengths of baseline, and also the use of different numbers of trace periods. Then, three-dimensional coordinates of 10 stations (DEM) were used, they were also located in three municipalities of Rio Grande do Sul, which were traced by the static post-processed (static PP) method, which helped as being a reference in comparison with technique RTK / NTRIP, that used the correlations of the Brazilian Network for Continuous Monitoring of the GNSS Systems in real time - (RBMC-IP). The results showed that there was resolution of the ambiguities in nine seasons at baseline greater than 54 km, and that the precision values showed no difference greater than 0.041 m in the horizontal component and 0.083 m in the vertical component. In addition, between the numbers of the tested periods (5,10,30, 60 and 120 periods) for the method RTK / NTRIP, the tested period that had the best average precision of the horizontal component was the 120 one (0.01 m), and for the vertical component was considered the five periods number as the most appropriated (0.02 m). Hence, it was proved the reliability of the technique RTK / NTRIP (RBMC-IP) in baselines of until 54 km, showing that it can be used for topographical surveys in areas with wireless Internet or cellular services such as GPRS, GSM and 3G. / O Sistema Global de Navegação por Satélite (GNSS) nos últimos anos vem se apoiando no desenvolvimento da telefonia móvel e no avanço da eletrônica dos equipamentos (receptores GNSS) para promover uma revolução nos levantamentos geodésicos em tempo real. Neste contexto, se destaca a técnica de posicionamento Real Time Kinematic (RTK) usando correções diferenciais transmitidas pelo protocolo Networked Transport of RTCM via internet Protocol (NTRIP), a partir de uma estação de referência via internet. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a precisão desta técnica para diferentes comprimentos de linha de base e com o uso de diferentes números de épocas de rastreio. Para isso, foram utilizadas as coordenadas tridimensionais de 10 estações (marcos), localizadas em três municípios do estado do Rio Grande do Sul, rastreadas pelo método relativo estático pós-processado (estático PP), o qual serviu de referência na comparação com a técnica RTK / NTRIP, que utilizou de correções da Rede Brasileira de Monitoramento contínuo dos Sistemas GNSS em tempo real (RBMC-IP). Os resultados mostraram que houve resolução das ambiguidades em nove estações numa linha de base superior a 54 km e que os valores de acurácia não apresentaram diferença superior a 0,041 m na componente horizontal e 0,083 m na componente vertical. Além disso, entre os números de épocas testados (5, 10, 30, 60 e 120 épocas) para o método RTK / NTRIP, aquele que apresentou a melhor média de acurácia horizontal foi o de 120 épocas (0,01 m) e para a componente vertical o melhor resultado foi alcançado com o número de 5 épocas rastreadas (0,02 m). Deste modo, foi comprovada a confiabilidade da técnica RTK / NTRIP (RBMC-IP) em linhas de base de até 54 km, podendo ser utilizada para levantamentos topográficos em locais providos por Internet wireless ou serviços de telefonia celular tais como, GPRS, GSM e 3G.

Evolução morfológica e sedimentológica do Arco Praial de Massaguaçú, litoral norte de São Paulo / Morfological e and sedimntological evution on Massaguaçu Bay Beach,North Costal of São Paulo\'s State

Nesta dissertação apresenta-se a evolução morfológica e sedimentológica no Arco Praial de Massaguaçú, Litoral Norte do Estado de São Paulo, em uma escala espaço-temporal histórica e de eventos. O Arco Praial de Massaguaçú localiza-se ao norte da Baia de Caraguatatuba e tem uma extensão de aproximadamente 7,5km. A metodologia consistiu na determinação da variação da linha de costa através da análise de fotografias aéreas de 1962, 1977, 1994 e 2001 e GPS para 2006. Foram obtidos 174 perfis bidimensionais e 16 perfis tridimensionais coletados em cinco levantamentos de campos entre os meses de novembro de 2006 e março de 2008 utilizando o método de DGPS. Foram coletadas ainda 176 amostras sedimentares na zona de espraiamento do Arco Praial, junto ao último ponto de cada perfil bidimensional, sendo uma coleta por perfil. Os resultados demonstraram que a maior parte da praia sofreu progradação entre os anos de 1962 e 1994, sendo observada mudança nesta tendência entre 1994 e 2006. Os dados de morfologia e sedimentologia mostraram grande variabilidade espaço temporal, sendo que estas parecem estar relacionadas a variações anuais de energia de onda. Foi identificada uma Zona de Erosão Acentuada (ZEA) na Parte Central do Arco Praial e dividiu-se a praia em cinco áreas de risco, onde este é menor nas extremidades do Arco Praial e aumenta em direção a região central. / This dissertation characterize the morphological and sedimentological evolution of Massaguaçú Bay Beach, São Paulo State, Northeast Brazil, in a Historical and events spatial-temporal scale. Massaguaçú Bay Beach is localized northward of Caraguatatuba Bay and has approximately 7.5Km length. The methodology consisted on the determination of the shoreline changes with Aerophotographic analyses of 1962, 1977, 1994 and 2001, 2006 shoreline was taken with GPS. The DGPS Method was used to obtain 174 two-dimensional profiles and 16 tri-dimensional profiles in 5 field campaigns conducted between November, 2006 and March, 2008. 176 sand samples were collect in the swash zone, next to the last position of each two-dimensional profile. Data showed that almost all beach demonstrated shoreline progradation between 1962 and 1994, this tendency change between 1994 and 2006 with the possibility of increase of the retraction processes. It was observed a great variability in morphological and sedimentological data, this appear to be related with variations on the wave height pattern during the year. It has identified an Erosional Hotspot in the central area of the beach and the beach has divided in five risck areas where the risck increase from the extremities to the center of the beach.

Cette thèse présente une étude de la dynamique des plages sableuses ouvertes dominées par la houle, au travers d’une base de données originale, couvrant une période de 29 mois, et composée de 150 levés DGPS couvrant 750m de linéaire côtier, donnant accès à la morphodynamique du site de Biscarrosse à différentes échelles de temps. Dans un premier temps, l’analyse du jeu de données à l’échelle des événements (tempêtes et successions de tempêtes appelées clusters) nous a permis de montrer que la réponse des plages sableuses aux clusters ne résulte pas de la somme des impacts induits par chaque tempête d’un cluster. Ainsi, l’effet cumulé des clusters, rapporté sur d'autres sites dans la littérature, n’est ici pas vérifié. L'impact de l’enchainement des tempêtes a également été étudié et il en résulte que lors d’un cluster, un changement des conditions hydrodynamique, à savoir, une augmentation des hauteurs de vagues et/ou du niveau d’eau, est nécessaire pour que la tempête suivante ait un impact érosif significatif sur le système. Dans un second temps, nous avons étudié la dynamique saisonnière du système plage/dune, que ce soit la saison hivernale ou estivale, dans le but de mettre en relief les principaux processus impliqués à cette échelle. Nos travaux montrent que la réponse hivernale de la plage ne dépend pas uniquement des conditions énergétiques et du profil pré-hivernal de la plage, mais également du séquençage des événements, comme lors d'un cluster. Mes travaux confirment également la nécessité de prendre en compte de nombreux paramètres dans l’étude de la dynamique hivernale des littoraux sableux : les conditions hydrodynamiques, le séquençage des évènements érosifs mais également reconstructifs, en particulier le ré-engraissement post-évènement, les transports sédimentaires cross-shore et longshore, ainsi que la position de la barre interne et des courants d’arrachements. La saison estivale est, quant-à-elle, marquée par la reconstruction de berme. Elle semble être liée à la fois aux conditions hydrodynamiques et aux caractéristiques des barres sableuses. L’étude de deux étés et deux hivers successifs a ainsi permis d’identifier les interactions entre les saisons et l’impact de la saison hivernale sur l’estivale, et l’influence de la dynamique événementielle sur la dynamique saisonnière. Elle a aussi permis de mettre en relief l’impact de l’urbanisme et des stratégies d’aménagement dans la réponse du système, à différentes échelles de temps. / This thesis presents a study of an open sandy beach wave-dominated, based on an original dataset, covering 29 months and composed by 150 DGPS surveys recorded along 750m of sandy shore, giving an access to the morphodynamic of Biscarrosse beach at different timescales. In a first time, event scale analysis showed that sandy beach response to clusters is not the result of the sum of the impact generated by each storm of a cluster on the system. Thus, the cumulated effect of clusters, described in the literature is not verified here. The storm sequencing has also been studied: during a cluster, changes in hydrodynamics conditions (rising of the water level and/or wave height) are necessary to provoke a significant erosion of the system by the second storm. In a second time, we studied the seasonal scale dynamic of the beach/dune system (winter and summer seasons) with the purpose to highlight dominant processes involved at this timescale. Beach response to winter seasons not only depends on hydrodynamic conditions and previous beach profile, but also on erosion/recovery event sequencing, post-storm recovery, cross-shore and longshore sediment transport, the barline characteristics and RIP current positions. Summer seasons are here defined by the berm reconstruction. Recovery periods are both linked to hydrodynamic conditions and barline characteristics (e.g. position and shape).The study of successive winters and summers allowed us to identify interactions between seasons, and the influence of short-scale dynamics on the seasonal one. It also emphasizes the impact of urbanism and coastal management strategies on the system’s response, at different timescales.

O presente trabalho propõe caracterizar a variabilidade espaço temporal dos prismas praias das praias do Lázaro, Domingas Dias e Sununga em relação às variáveis meteorológicas e oceanográficas, condicionadas pela passagem dos sistemas frontais, proporcionando à compreensão da evolução morfológica deste segmento costeiro da Enseada da Fortaleza e facilitar os próximos estudos para outras enseadas do litoral Norte do Estado de São Paulo. Para a caracterização morfodinâmica da face praial das praias da Sununga, Lázaro e Domingas Dias, no município de Ubatuba, São Paulo, foi utilizado o método de caminhamento com o uso de equipamento de precisão em posicionamento geográfico (DGPS), análises meteorológicas, análises granulométricas e modelo de padrão de incidência de ondas. Os principais resultados encontrados colaboraram para concluir que as praias do Lázaro, Domingas Dias e Sununga, embora estejam inseridas na mesma enseada, e possuam as mesmas características geológicas, meteorológicas e oceanográficas, se comportam de maneiras distintas frente aos processos dinâmicos de ondas geradas nos sistemas frontais, e nos sistemas de \"tempo bom\", devido ao nível de exposição a que ficam submetidos seus arcos praiais a incidência de ondas provenientes de distintas direções. O acompanhamento espaço temporal das três praias da enseada da Fortaleza, todas com suas faces praiais voltadas rumo aos quadrantes a sul, sob as mesmas condicionantes de origem climática, geológica, oceanográfica e antrópica, evidenciaram que a intensidade dos processos de perda e recuperação sedimentar destas praias não dependem apenas do grau de proteção, ou exposição, destes ambientes a ação mais direta das ondas mais esbeltas, mais energéticas, mas também da possibilidade de remobilização de sedimentos dentro do próprio prisma praial. / The purpose of this research is to characterize the spatio-temporal variability of Lázaro, Domingas Dias and Sununga\"s beaches, in Ubatuba, São Paulo, in relation to oceanographic and meteorological variables, conditional on the passage of frontal systems, to provide the understanding of the morphology evolution of this coastal segment of Fortaleza Bay, and to facilitate future studies on other bays of the northern coast of São Paulo. To characterize the morphodynamics of those beaches, we used the method of beach profile with precision equipment in geographical positioning (DGPS), meteorological and gain-size analyses and coastal modeling system (SMC). The main results collaborated to the conclusion that, although these beaches are inserted in the same cove and have the same geological, meteorological and oceanographic characteristics, they behave differently when compared to the dynamic processes of waves generated in frontal systems, and the \"good weather\" systems, due to the level of exposure of their bows beaches to waves originated from different directions, showing that the intensity of the loss and recovery of these sedimentary beaches not only depend on the degree of protection or exposure of these environments to the more direct action of more slender and more energy waves, but also on the possibility of remobilization of sediments inside the own praial prism.

L'objectif principal de cette thèse est d'étudier la dynamique des flux hydrosédimentaires dans le bas cours de l'Orénoque à partir de la mise en œuvre de diverses techniques qui combinent directement la mesure des données in situ et la modélisation par séries chronologiques d'images satellites. Cette thèse aborde pour la première fois trois méthodologies complémentaires pour analyser les flux hydrosédimentaires dans les grands fleuves : (i) un algorithme d'inversion robuste pour l'estimation de MES à l'aide de données Landsat-8(OLI)permet de suivre de façon systématique et fiable les variations spatio-temporelles des flux hydro-sédimentaires de surface, (ii) de même, il a été montré qu'il existe une forte relation entre le coefficient de rétrodiffusion du radar (images Sentinel-1) et les segments fluviaux d'écoulement turbulent. Cette nouvelle utilisation du radar en complément des approches classiques en géomorphologie et hydro-sédimentologie permet d'identifier des sections du fleuve où les MES sont homogénéisées, ce qui est fondamental pour le calcul des flux hydro-sédimentaires en suspension, enfin, (iii) une troisième méthodologie a été mise en œuvre pour mesurer durant le cycle hydrologique, les modifications géomorphologiques d'une île semi-submergée au centre du chenal principal. Grace à des séries topo-bathymétriques fines, associées à une modélisation 3D, l'on peut dorénavant quantifier le charriage de fond. Ces trois approches combinées permettent une évaluation plus précise du bilan hydro-sédimentaire en tenant compte des matières en suspension comme du charriage de fond. Ces études pourront servir aux gestionnaires du fleuve, confrontés à de complexes, lourdes et couteuses opérations de dragage périodiques pour maintenir sa navigabilité, ce qui est d'extrême importance pour les projets de développement socio-économiques de la frange pétrolière du bas cours de l'Orénoque. / The main objective of this thesis is to study the dynamics of hydro-sedimentary flows in the lower Orinoco from the implementation of various techniques that directly combine the measurement of in situ data and the modelling of time series of satellite images. This thesis addresses for the first time three complementary methodologies for the analysis of hydro-sedimentary flows in large rivers: i) a robust inversion algorithm for estimating suspended sediment concentration (SSC) using Landsat-8 (OLI) satellite data allows a systematic and reliable monitoring of spatial and temporal variations of surface hydro-sedimentary flows, (ii) it was shown that there is a strong relationship between the radar backscatter coefficient (Sentinel-1 images) and the turbulent flow segments in the river. This new use of radar, in addition to traditional geomorphological and hydro- sedimentological approaches, allows the identification of river sections in which suspended sediments are homogenized, which is fundamental for the calculation of suspended hydro-sedimentary flows, and finally (iii) a third methodology has been implemented to measure during the hydrological regime the geomorphological modifications of a semi-submerged island in the center of the mainstream. Thanks to a high spatial resolution topo-bathymetric series, combined with 3D modeling, it is now possible to quantify and to gain better understanding of river bed transport. These three combined approaches allow a more accurate evaluation of the hydro-sedimentary equilibrium taking into account suspended solids as well as bedload. These studies can be used by those responsible for river management, who face complex, heavy and costly periodic dredging operations to maintain their navigability, which is of extreme importance for socio-economic development projects in the Orinoco oil belt in the lower Orinoco.

Evolução morfológica e sedimentológica do Arco Praial de Massaguaçú, litoral norte de São Paulo / Morfological e and sedimntological evution on Massaguaçu Bay Beach,North Costal of São Paulo\'s State

Nesta dissertação apresenta-se a evolução morfológica e sedimentológica no Arco Praial de Massaguaçú, Litoral Norte do Estado de São Paulo, em uma escala espaço-temporal histórica e de eventos. O Arco Praial de Massaguaçú localiza-se ao norte da Baia de Caraguatatuba e tem uma extensão de aproximadamente 7,5km. A metodologia consistiu na determinação da variação da linha de costa através da análise de fotografias aéreas de 1962, 1977, 1994 e 2001 e GPS para 2006. Foram obtidos 174 perfis bidimensionais e 16 perfis tridimensionais coletados em cinco levantamentos de campos entre os meses de novembro de 2006 e março de 2008 utilizando o método de DGPS. Foram coletadas ainda 176 amostras sedimentares na zona de espraiamento do Arco Praial, junto ao último ponto de cada perfil bidimensional, sendo uma coleta por perfil. Os resultados demonstraram que a maior parte da praia sofreu progradação entre os anos de 1962 e 1994, sendo observada mudança nesta tendência entre 1994 e 2006. Os dados de morfologia e sedimentologia mostraram grande variabilidade espaço temporal, sendo que estas parecem estar relacionadas a variações anuais de energia de onda. Foi identificada uma Zona de Erosão Acentuada (ZEA) na Parte Central do Arco Praial e dividiu-se a praia em cinco áreas de risco, onde este é menor nas extremidades do Arco Praial e aumenta em direção a região central. / This dissertation characterize the morphological and sedimentological evolution of Massaguaçú Bay Beach, São Paulo State, Northeast Brazil, in a Historical and events spatial-temporal scale. Massaguaçú Bay Beach is localized northward of Caraguatatuba Bay and has approximately 7.5Km length. The methodology consisted on the determination of the shoreline changes with Aerophotographic analyses of 1962, 1977, 1994 and 2001, 2006 shoreline was taken with GPS. The DGPS Method was used to obtain 174 two-dimensional profiles and 16 tri-dimensional profiles in 5 field campaigns conducted between November, 2006 and March, 2008. 176 sand samples were collect in the swash zone, next to the last position of each two-dimensional profile. Data showed that almost all beach demonstrated shoreline progradation between 1962 and 1994, this tendency change between 1994 and 2006 with the possibility of increase of the retraction processes. It was observed a great variability in morphological and sedimentological data, this appear to be related with variations on the wave height pattern during the year. It has identified an Erosional Hotspot in the central area of the beach and the beach has divided in five risck areas where the risck increase from the extremities to the center of the beach.

O presente trabalho propõe caracterizar a variabilidade espaço temporal dos prismas praias das praias do Lázaro, Domingas Dias e Sununga em relação às variáveis meteorológicas e oceanográficas, condicionadas pela passagem dos sistemas frontais, proporcionando à compreensão da evolução morfológica deste segmento costeiro da Enseada da Fortaleza e facilitar os próximos estudos para outras enseadas do litoral Norte do Estado de São Paulo. Para a caracterização morfodinâmica da face praial das praias da Sununga, Lázaro e Domingas Dias, no município de Ubatuba, São Paulo, foi utilizado o método de caminhamento com o uso de equipamento de precisão em posicionamento geográfico (DGPS), análises meteorológicas, análises granulométricas e modelo de padrão de incidência de ondas. Os principais resultados encontrados colaboraram para concluir que as praias do Lázaro, Domingas Dias e Sununga, embora estejam inseridas na mesma enseada, e possuam as mesmas características geológicas, meteorológicas e oceanográficas, se comportam de maneiras distintas frente aos processos dinâmicos de ondas geradas nos sistemas frontais, e nos sistemas de \"tempo bom\", devido ao nível de exposição a que ficam submetidos seus arcos praiais a incidência de ondas provenientes de distintas direções. O acompanhamento espaço temporal das três praias da enseada da Fortaleza, todas com suas faces praiais voltadas rumo aos quadrantes a sul, sob as mesmas condicionantes de origem climática, geológica, oceanográfica e antrópica, evidenciaram que a intensidade dos processos de perda e recuperação sedimentar destas praias não dependem apenas do grau de proteção, ou exposição, destes ambientes a ação mais direta das ondas mais esbeltas, mais energéticas, mas também da possibilidade de remobilização de sedimentos dentro do próprio prisma praial. / The purpose of this research is to characterize the spatio-temporal variability of Lázaro, Domingas Dias and Sununga\"s beaches, in Ubatuba, São Paulo, in relation to oceanographic and meteorological variables, conditional on the passage of frontal systems, to provide the understanding of the morphology evolution of this coastal segment of Fortaleza Bay, and to facilitate future studies on other bays of the northern coast of São Paulo. To characterize the morphodynamics of those beaches, we used the method of beach profile with precision equipment in geographical positioning (DGPS), meteorological and gain-size analyses and coastal modeling system (SMC). The main results collaborated to the conclusion that, although these beaches are inserted in the same cove and have the same geological, meteorological and oceanographic characteristics, they behave differently when compared to the dynamic processes of waves generated in frontal systems, and the \"good weather\" systems, due to the level of exposure of their bows beaches to waves originated from different directions, showing that the intensity of the loss and recovery of these sedimentary beaches not only depend on the degree of protection or exposure of these environments to the more direct action of more slender and more energy waves, but also on the possibility of remobilization of sediments inside the own praial prism.
