Indikátor obsahu feromagnetických fází / Metal components testing equipmentKrupa, Zdeněk January 2009 (has links)
This thesis deals with designing a portable indicator for measuring of content of ferromagnetic phase in non-ferromagnetic steels. The first part of the thesis describes the principle of sensor used in the indicator. A market survey is presented, with a description of selected indicators that are suitable for measurement of content of ferromagnetic phases. The following part deals with a design of the device hardware, which is focused on finding a suitable indicator concept. Circuits for battery charge, measuring chain and other circuits are designed in this part. The following part of the thesis describes the function of the software. First it describes the software for DSP, then the software for personal computer. The software for DSP has been programmed in the C language, the software for the personal computer in the C# language. The last part but one describes an inspectional measurement of the indicator. This measurement has been performed on testing samples as well as other materials. The final part presents a summary of the outcomes and provides recommendations for possible improvement.

Zvukové rozhraní pro průmyslový počítač / Audio Interface for Embedded PCStaroň, Martin January 2011 (has links)
The scope of my master thesis is a designing computer sound interface including measurement of audio performance. This work is concerning both design analog front - ends and digital support circuits. The sigma delta Analog to Digital (ADC) and Digital to Analog (DAC) converters is included in this conception. Those converters has been made into two separate printed circuit boards. All signal paths in this circuitry are utilizing differential mode that are quoted as balanced among audio engineers. Modern circuit components are used in this design, such as fully differential operational amplifiers, electronically controlled gain preamplifiers, low drop linear stabilizers with low noise level, DC component suppression circuits and low jitter active components. Theoretical part of this thesis contains specification of choosed sound defitions, questioning audio program loudness leveling. Further criteria of suitable active and passive components are included. In this thesis the simulations of fundamental circuits block are meant likewise. Practical part involve complete layout of printed circuit boards of and prototyping. Designed prototype device has wide application usage. It is intended to use not only as industrial computers, but also as dedicated sound converters, measurement cards, mixing consoles, switching matrixes, active loudspeakers, embedded systems.

Implementace ovladače I2S Audio v systému Freescale MQX RTOS / Implementation of the I2S Driver into the Freescale MQX RTOSMožný, Karel January 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals with design and development of a I2S module driver for real-time operating system MQX running on a ColdFire V4 architecture based processor. Further there are presented circuit diagrams and PCBs created for testing of functions and properties of the driver. Signal input is a digital audio in form of S/PDIF interface, output is an analogue signal, that can be listened by the means of a headphone amplifier. The conclusion describes a sample application demonstrating function of the driver on developed hardware.

D/A převodník pro audio s externím ovládáním pomocí mikrokontroléru / Audio D/A converter with external control using microcontrollerŠpaček, Jan January 2012 (has links)
This diploma thesis is devoted to the design of a laboratory measurement tool with DAC converter for audio and low frequency signals. In the introduction part a theoretical background of the ADC and DAC conversions are outlined. In the next chapters the technical solution of the laboratory converter is presented, including DAC with integrated circuit AD1852 and completed with digital audio receiver CS8416. This circuit secures compatibility with external audio devices with digital interfaces, like SPDIF or AES3. The digital receiver and audio DAC are added with serial communication interface for setup of the most audio and input parameters. This setup is operated by external microcontroller ATmega32 and original firmware. The thesis presents block diagram and schematic layout of the laboratory converter, including complete technical documentation for the construction and design.

DIRECT AIR CAPTURE CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENTSnorradóttir, Hólmfrídur January 2022 (has links)
To meet ambitious climate goals, of keeping global warming below 2°C, past emissions need to be removed from the atmosphere with the help of negative emissions technologies (NETs). The transition of energy systems, however, needs to follow the requirements of sustainable development to benefit all three pillars of sustainability, those are the environment, society, and economy. A NET that has gained increased attention from policymakers and businesses in recent years is direct air capture (DAC). The technology is currently on a small scale and faces challenges for scale-up such as energy and water intensity, the unclear requirements of resources and uncertain environmental, social, and economic impacts. The aim of this study was, therefore, to address DAC's impact on the three pillars of sustainability to answer the research question: How does direct air capture influence or connect to the three pillars of sustainable development? Because of the lack of research on DAC in connection with sustainability a qualitative interview approach was chosen where five interviews were conducted with researchers working with DAC. The findings derived from the interviews were separated into the different pillars of sustainability. The finding for the sustainability aspect included the definition of sustainability, various justice aspects and contributions to the SDGs. For the environmental aspect, DAC's carbon footprint and impact on mitigation were highlighted. The economic aspect of DAC showed the need for a clear business model and a supportive carbon mechanism. Lastly, for the social aspect low level of knowledge and the importance of social acceptance were recognized. Concluding, these different aspects influence the pillars of sustainability and need to be considered before further scale-up of DAC.
