The Police Organizations Education, Knowledge and Experiences of Mental Illness: A Qualitative Interview Study

Mehmedovic, Edina January 2019 (has links)
This study illustrates the experiences and knowledge on mental illness within the police organization. The main queries are how the police education prepare the police for encounters with mentally ill individuals, what police officers experience and what is done within the department in relation to strengthen knowledge and competence on mental illness.Nine interviews were conducted with police students, police officers and a business developer and the findings are that the overall perception of the police programme is that it provides future police officers with a basic understanding about mental illness. However, experienced police officers feel that they need more knowledge about mental illness to feel more secure and comfortable in these meetings. Furthermore, the police department works with the governmental assignation by preparing study material for different groups to strengthen their knowledge and competence on mental illness. The aim is to provide the police with knowledge about legal frames, recognition of mental states/disorders, how to respond to mentally ill individuals and what agencies are available to assist in the community. The limitation of the study was the relatively small sample considering that data was collected from different parts of the organization. However, this study has demonstrated an overview of the whole organization and their work connected to mental illness. The conclusion of this study is that the police department in Sweden has realized the knowledge gap and developed an educational plan to resolve the missing puzzle pieces.

Cirkulär ekonomi vid produktutvecklingen av funktionskläder / Circular economy in product development of functional clothing

TALLBOM, MAXIMILIAN, WIDÉN, FELICIA January 2020 (has links)
Today’s clothing industry is heavily reliant on non-renweable resources and the use is venturing the ecological sustainability. The clothing industry is set to expand threefold by year 2050 which will affect the supply of raw materials. It is considered a waste of resources to throw away clothes and therefor a new business model is necessesary to incorporate. A circular economy is a model which operates wihin the boundaries of our planet through a closed loop of materials and energy in multiple cycles. Ecological sustainability is therefore relevant during the development of functional clothing, where the design process is a key step. The characteristics of functional clothing are the increased requirements of used materials. This is to protect the user in various weather conditions. The purpose of this study is to explore and describe the ecological aspects of product development for functional clothing. This is in regard to circular economy and choice of materials. The project’s backround and theoretical frame of reference has its basis in litterature studies which derive from information search on various databases. Further information has been gathered by conducting interviews with different respondents aswell as published documents from chosen organisations. Results from the study shows that design for quality and durability are cornerstones of achieving a circular flow. Another important aspect is to aim for an increased usage of monomaterials due to the means of recycling. There are however challenges associated with choosing suitable materials for the correct area of application in relation to functional clothing. The future of product development for functional clothing is to focus on creating clothes that are better in all ecological aspects. The transition towards a circular business model seems to be inevitable.

Strategie rozvoje podniku potravinářské výroby / Business development strategy of food production

SCHÁNILCOVÁ, Kamila January 2012 (has links)
The main theme of the thesis was the processing of the company?s internal and external analysis and compiling a new development strategy based on the strategic analysis. The new strategy focuses mainly on rescuing the company from liquidation and production expansion whilst keeping the continuity of business. With the help of external analysis the development of external environs was ascertained. The inner environment analysis enabled to specify internal sources of a company and their use. A new development strategy plan contains the scenario of the future development of the external environment, a new vision and the company?s mission. New strategic aims were determined. The new development strategy aims at gaining new markets and customers, incorporating new delicatessen into the production portfolio for the customers who prefer healthy lifestyle. Tradition, thorough preparation of delicatessen and a personal approach towards customers are competitive advantage which can hardly be replaced by retail chains. The company finds itself in a difficult financial situation and it is inevitable to incorporate changes which will save it from liquidation.
