Orza, Gustavo Fabián 05 October 2001 (has links)
The investigation presents the generic problem of how to distinguish among contents of reality, fiction and hybridization in the television discourse, and establishes as final objective the formulation and testing of a model to accede not only to this distinction but also, in addition, to the thematic, stylistic and structural analysis out of every one of the samples of television text selected in an hypothetic study. The elaboration of an integral model for the structural analysis of the television discourse considers as a specific goal of possible applications both shows and TV programming, and also the segments of the rest of the broadcast (commercial breaks) included in them.Setting quotas -in quantity of broadcast minutes- and determining the average presence of the contents of reality, fiction and hybridization, are the immediate result of the application of the model on a selected analytical sample. Also, the model is offered as a structure capable od determining and relating the profiles of programming of the TV networks with the segments of audience seeked by the broadcasting networks that, coherently, should reassure themselves in the analysis of the advertising occupation that shows and/or programming offer. Methodologically, the model uses the content analysis techniques (both quantitative and qualitative) in an integrated manner and also the intruments of analysis of speech (in an exact and enunciative manner). This integrated perspective permits to establish the characteristics of the thematic occupation, the preponderance of television styles and the stablishment of structures for TV shows, that lead to development of generic typologies for shows and/or programming. The most significan goals set for the investigation are:a. Distinguishes in an objective manner the borders that separate reality from fiction in the television discourse, using the binary mechanism of fields of reference (external or internal) and setting up discursive groups or typologies for shows and TV programming.b. Establishes a unique analytical model of the television discourse that, at least, can be applied in the analysis of four integrated dimensions: programming systems, general programming or time segments, shows and, on a superficial level, segments of the rest of broadcast.c. Starts studies of the comparative type about different programming profiles, focusing in specific cases like public and private broadcast networks, or thematic and generic (varieties), for instance.d. Proposes investigations related to the audience profiles according to shows and programming e. Progresses into the critical analysis of speech and also generates strategies for the creation of new shows and programming.f. Finally, and related to recurrent objects of study like for instance violence on television, cultural consumption of children and youth, or psychopathologies originated in the abuse of audivisual leisure, this study proposes a perceptive output based on working with coherent relashionships manifested between discursive configurations and those perceptive configurations that interpreters experiment.

Being released in four episodes, on four consecutive Sundays, between March and April of 2017, the series approached transsexuality and its relevant demands attached to the transsexual individual, such as: the “choices” of whom was born in a “wrong” body, the impact in the person’s school and academic life due to the fact of being transsexual, the issue of self-medication and treatment(s), the sex reassignment surgery and the relationships in the “transgender world” regarding to familial affection, affection issues and sexual desire. The main goal is to analyze how the series, which is metaphorically narrated inspired by the popular child story “Alice no País das Maravilhas” (Alice in Wonderland) , brings out the topic in a way to start talking about transsexuality, in order to analyze the ideological functioning that permeates the discussions on this topic. Transsexuality has been facing a lot of discussions in the contemporary world covered by intense social impact that justifies the necessity of approaching transsexuality in the scientific production field, so that the conceptions related to this topic will not be mostly based on common sense, allowing the epistemological construction of knowledge on transsexuality. Therefore, this work intends to understand how the experienced effects are sustained – mentioned and not mentioned – in produced discourses – by the media, journalistic discourse, and even to notice the current ideologies in the transsexual individuals’ discourse, as a sense effect – inspired by the topic approached by the series, transsexuality.
