A transmissão do Programa do Ratinho colocou em evidência uma antiga questão sobre a qualidade dos programas exibidos pela televisão brasileira, em que se traça uma distinção entre o que é de alto nível e o que é de baixo nível. A leitura dos artigos publicados na imprensa revela que o programa provoca um profundo mal-estar em determinados grupos, por outro lado, a etnografia do programa mostra que as rupturas, tanto das normas de conduta quanto das regras do gênero televisivo, são propositais e carregam uma dimensão cômica. É essa inter-relação entre o mal-estar e o riso que sugere o sentido das rupturas praticadas no programa. O diálogo indireto entre o conteúdo do programa e as críticas impressas nos jornais mostra a construção de uma identidade positiva em torno do ideal de autenticidade, que se opõe à imagem negativa, de degradação moral, veiculada pela imprensa. Nesse sentido, revela uma disputa simbólica que conjuga no mesmo movimento a distinção e a desqualificação do outro. O programa encena essa disputa, em que se define o que é desejável e o que é desprezível, o que dá dignidade e o que degrada o ser humano, simulando a inversão da escala de valores na qual aqueles que se incomodam são colocados como inferiores em relação ao apresentador e aqueles que apreciam o programa, os quais se apropriam das qualidades associadas à superioridade moral. / The purpose of this essay is to analise the interconnections between the disgusting and the comic in Ratinho`s TV programme. This programme came up the old question about the quality of TV programmes in Brazil, where there is a clear distinction between the good level and the bad level. The reading of public papers shows that the programme causes a deep bad feeling in some groups of society. On the other hand, the programme´s ethnography shows that the breaking of behavior rules and TV rules is intentional and has a comic dimension. These interconnections between the disgusting and the comic are the aim of the breaking rules. The indirect comunication between the program content and the media`s critiques in the newspapers shows the construction of a positive identity of authenticity in contrast with the media´s negative image of moral degradation. Furthermore, it revels a symbolic war that causes the same movement of other´s distinction and desqualification. The programme is the scene of this war, in which one can define what is desirable and what is disgusting, what gives dignity and what gives degradation to human being. Ratinho´s programme simulates a inversion of moral rules, in which the one´s who criticize the programme are taken as inferiors to the one´s who like it, so, these can put themselves in a position of moral superiority.

Partindo dos confrontos que atravessam os estudos de sociologia do gosto na Europa e na América do Norte, esta tese trata dos processos de distinção social pelo gosto com ocupantes das mais altas posições na hierarquia social da cidade de São Paulo. Num primeiro momento, aborda os itens simbólicos das hierarquias culturais legítimas e as técnicas da sociabilidade mundana tal como se manifestam em manuais de etiqueta, crônicas da vida mundana e críticas culturais, passando em revista algumas estatísticas de dispersão social dos bens culturais e certas representações do consumo encenadas no material da imprensa paulistana contemporânea. Num segundo momento, o estudo se encaminha para a investigação de como frações das classes altas de duas áreas residenciais de São Paulo (a dos Jardins e a de Alphaville) marcadas por disparidades associadas à estrutura e, sobretudo, à evolução no tempo do volume total do capital - reagem a esses apelos de estilização da vida. A análise de seus confrontos de preferência, realizada com base em entrevistas semi-diretivas, permite afirmar que os processos de distinção e estigmatização seguem se revigorando através das classificações conflitivas que explicitam habitus de classe e se atualizam através das práticas e das escolhas estéticas. / Having as a starting point the controversies that criss-cross the studies in sociology of taste in Europe and North America, the present dissertation tackles the processes of social distinction through taste of people occupying the highest positions within the social hierarchy of the city of São Paulo. In a first stage, it deals with the symbolic items of the legitimate cultural hierarchies as well as the techniques of the worldly sociability as they appear in etiquette handbooks, chronics of the worldly life, and cultural critic. It also surveys statistical data about social dispersion of cultural goods and representations of consumption displayed in the material from present-day press of São Paulo. In a second stage, the study goes into an inquiry about how fractions of high classes inhabiting two residential areas in São Paulo (the Jardins and Alphaville), that are marked by disparities associated with the structure and, above all, the long term evolution of the overall volume of capital, do react to these appeals to stylization of life. An analysis of their confrontations of preferences, carried out on the basis of half-directive interviews, allows affirming that the processes of distinction and stigmatization are reinforced by conflicting classifications that make explicit class habitus and actualize through esthetical practices and choices.

Na região metropolitana de São Paulo, a partir da década de 1970, surge um modelo de empreendimento residencial que se caracteriza pelo isolamento de edifícios em grandes lotes murados e protegidos, servidos de espaços de lazer e serviços habitualmente encontrados na cidade aberta. Com a complexificação recente da questão urbana, em que ricos e pobres muitas vezes ocupam os mesmos espaços, este modelo de empreendimento ganhou espaço e se difundiu a partir de discursos fundamentados na experiência do medo da violência urbana, explicitando os processos históricos de segregação social. Outra dimensão da conformação dos espaços residenciais fechados é a que diz respeito às questões simbólicas expressas através da arquitetura destes empreendimentos, tanto em sua estruturação espacial como em suas opções estilísticas. Neste sentido, o que se pretende é uma análise do fenômeno de difusão do modelo de condomínio fechado tipo clube a partir destas duas óticas complementares, às quais podemos definir a partir dos conceitos de segregação e distinção. / The Brazilian cities are marked by excluding and selective urbanization processes in which the contrasts and inequalities are deeply present in the urban space structure and in its landscape configuration. In São Paulo metropolitan area, since the 1970’s, a model of real estate development appears, characterized by isolated buildings within a large, walled and protect area served by recreational spaces and services usually found in the open city. The recent increase in urban scenario, in which rich and poor people many times occupy the same spaces, this type of real estate development has gained space and spread from fear experiences and urban violence speeches, showing the historical social segregation processes. Another dimension of closed residential areas is that of symbolic matters expressed by the architecture of these developments, either on its spatial structure or on its stylistic choices. In this sense, we pretend to analyze the phenomenon of diffusion of this model of real estate development – the gated communities – from two different but complementary points of view we can define from the concept of segregation and distinction.

Encaram-se, assim, duas frentes de investigação: (i) caracterizar a multifuncionalidade de ainda no português, e (ii) descrever a natureza composicional, a funcionalidade comunicativa e o estatuto categorial das formas perifrásticas com ainda, no caso ainda assim, ainda bem, ainda mais e ainda que. Em relação a (i), dois mecanismos se mostram pertinentes para a descrição dos diferentes usos de ainda: (a) a determinação das diferentes relações de escopo que ainda pode instaurar a depender de seu uso; e (b) a avaliação dos diferentes estatutos categoriais de ainda enquanto primitivo da formulação. Esta tese distingue, então, quatro usos de ainda, que se dispõem ao longo de um contínuo entre léxico e gramática e que evidenciam um processo de gramaticalização, que, à luz da GDF (cf. HENGEVELD, no prelo; DALL’AGLIO-HATTNHER; HENGEVELD, 2016), caracteriza-se por uma mudança de conteúdo e por uma mudança formal. Em relação a (ii), esta tese defende que as formas perifrásticas com ainda ocupam diferentes posições no cline de lexicalidade/gramaticalidade (cf. BRINTON; TRAUGOTT, 2005). Isso aponta para dois processos de mudança linguística envolvidos em sua emergência, lexicalização e gramaticalização, que, à luz da GDF, implicam não só um aumento nas relações de escopo ou uma mudança categorial, mas também um percurso do tipo relação núcleo-dependente > primitivo, que dá conta da representação do processo de fixação na emergência dessas formas via lexicalização ou gramaticalização. / This study investigates the lexical-grammatical distinction in Functional Discourse Grammar (FDG). Our point of departure is the interface between grammaticalization principles and the FDG model that allows representing the gradience between Lexicon and Grammar within this model. This requires a twofold analysis: (i) one that accounts for the multi-functions of ainda in Portuguese; and (ii) another one that describes the compositional nature, the functions, and the categorial status of derived forms of ainda, such as ainda assim, ainda bem, ainda mais e ainda que. In relation to (i), two mechanisms are relevant for the description of the different uses of ainda: (a) the determination of the different scope relations that ainda may obtain, and (b) the evaluation of ainda’s different categorial status as a primitive of formulation. Therefore, this thesis distinguishes four different uses of ainda, which are arranged in a continuum between Lexicon and Grammar and reveal that a grammaticalization process in a FDG approach is characterized by contentive and formal change (cf. Hengeveld, approved for publication; Dall’Aglio-Hattnher; Hengeveld, 2016). Regarding (ii), this study argues that the derived forms of ainda occupy different positions within the lexicality/grammaticality cline (cf. Brinton; Traugott, 2005). This shows that there are two processes of linguistic change responsible for their emergence: lexicalization and grammaticalization. From a FDG standpoint, both processes imply not only an increase in their scope relations or a categorial change, but also predict a path from a nucleus-dependent relation to a primitive, as a way of representing the fixing process in the appearance of periphrastic forms by lexicalization or grammaticalization.

Devido à atual crise da biodiversidade e à falta de recursos destinados à conservação, as espécies ameaçadas devem ser diferenciadas umas das outras para que aquelas sob maior risco possam receber atenção antes. Dentro de uma mesma linhagem, as espécies terão diferentes importâncias relativas para a conservação da diversidade evolutiva e ecológica, atual e passada. Propomos aqui uma nova abordagem ao criar um índice de priorização (PI) que possa ser utilizado em grupos monofiléticos, e que considere conjuntamente características de história de vida, singularidade ecológica e grau de distinção filogenética. Nossa linhagem modelo foi a tribo Pseudoboini, um grupo de serpentes neotropicais para o qual compilamos informações disponíveis na literatura, informações fornecidas por outros pesquisadores e dados originais coletados em coleções científicas. Para criar o PI combinamos três diferentes índices: vulnerabilidade à extinção (IVE), singularidade ecológica (EO) e grau de distinção filogenética (PD). O IVE foi calculado a partir da média do ranqueamento das espécies de acordo com sete fatores que afetam a sobrevivência das populações de serpentes (tamanho corporal, fecundidade média, amplitude alimentar, distribuição geográfica, amplitude de utilização de habitats, amplitude altitudinal e habilidade de persistir em ambientes alterados). O EO considera a distância absoluta do fenótipo de uma determinada espécie em relação ao fenótipo mais comum na linhagem (calculado para tamanho corporal, fecundidade média, amplitude alimentar e amplitude de utilização de habitats). Já o PD considera o quão relictual uma determinada espécie é. Houve uma grande variação em relação aos dados biológicos dos pseudoboine. O IVE foi uniformemente distribuído por toda a Tribo e Oxyrhopus petola apresentou o menor IVE. As espécies com maior IVE foram: Clelia langeri, Pseudoboa martinsi, Siphlophis compressus, Clelia hussami e Clelia scytalina. Phimophis iglesiasi, que parece ser a espécie irmã de todos os pseuboíneos, apresentou o maior PD. Exceto por Clelia errabunda, Oxyrhopus doliatus, e Phimophis chui, a maior parte das espécies apresentou valores baixos de EO. O menor PI foi apresentado pela espécie Oxyrhopus melanogenys e encontramos os maiores valores de PI para as espécies Phimophis iglesiasi, Clelia hussami, P. chui, C. langeri, e C. scytalina. Apenas duas espécies que apresentaram altos valores de IVE neste estudo estão presentes em listas vermelhas (Clelia langeri e Siphlophis longicaudatus), além de outras cinco espécies de pseudoboíneos. Desta forma, futuras avaliações de risco de extinção devem prestar especial atenção a todas estas espécies. Além disso, espécies que apresentaram altos valores de IVE também apresentaram alto grau de distinção filogenética, o que reforça a necessidade de conservação de espécies mais relictuais. Representantes de quase todos os clados dos pseudoboíneos estão presentes entre as 10 espécies com maiores valores de PI, maximizando a diversidade filogenética dos táxons priorizados. Apesar de não ser possível comparar valores obtidos em estudos com diferentes linhagens (os índices gerados são clado-específicos), quando esta abordagem for aplicada a grupos mais inclusivos de organismos (e.g., famílias e subfamílias), poderá haver uma melhora na qualidade dos processos de priorização. / Given the present biodiversity crisis and the lack of available resources, threatened species must be differentiated from each other so that those at higher risk can be attended first. Within lineages, species differ in their need for conservation action and in their relative importance for conserving current and ancient ecological and evolutionary diversity. We here propose a new approach to create a priority index (PI) for species within monophyletic groups, by combining life history traits, ecological singularity, and phylogenetic distinctness. Our model lineage was the tribe Pseudoboini, a group of Neotropical snakes for which we gathered literature data, unpublished observations provided by other researchers, as well as original data from museums specimens. To create the PI, we combined three different indices: vulnerability to extinction (IVE), ecological oddity (EO) and phylogenetic distinctness (PD). IVE was calculated by ranking species according to a combination of six factors known to affect snake population survival (body size, mean fecundity, dietary breadth, geographic distribution, altitudinal range, and ability to persist in altered habitats). Ecological oddity, which takes into account the distance of a given trait of a given species in relation to the lineage mean for that trait, was calculated for four characters (body size, mean fecundity, habitat breadth, and dietary breadth), and PD takes into account how relictual a given species is. There was a great amount of variation in the biological variables among pseudoboines. IVE was evenly distributed across the Tribe. Oxyrhopus petola presented the lowest IVE and Clelia langeri the highest. Besides the latter, five additional species showed high IVEs: Pseudoboa serrana, Clelia scytalina, Clelia hussami, Siphlophis compressus, and Pseudoboa martinsi. Phimophis iglesiasi, which seems to be the sister species of all pseudoboines, showed the highest PD. Except for Clelia errabunda, Oxyrhopus doliatus, and Phimophis chui, most species presented low EO values. The lowest PI was obtained for Oxyrhopus melanogenys and the highest for Phimophis iglesiasi. Besides the latter, Clelia hussami, P. chui, C. langeri, and C. scytalina also presented high PIs. Only two species with high IVE in our study are included in red lists (Clelia langeri and Siphlophis longicaudatus), and five additional species appeared with high IVEs; thus, all these species should receive special attention in future assessments of extinction risk. Species with higher vulnerability to extinction were also those with higher phylogenetic distinctness, reinforcing the importance of conserving relictual species. Representatives from almost all clades within the pseudoboines are listed amongst the ten higher PI values, what maximizes the phylogenetic diversity of the prioritized taxa. Although it is not possible to compare values obtained in studies with different lineages (the indices generated are cladespecific), when extended to more inclusive lineages within a group of organisms (e.g., subfamilies, families) this approach might enhance the quality of future prioritization processes.

Or, if it is accurate, as are their objects? Exactly? Or rather, what is a mathematical object? How to differentiate a mathematical object to another? What characteristics / properties are necessary for an object to be mathematical? Be accurate means to be intelligible? These questions, which are not the subject of discussions in this work were the triggering of this study. The proposal is to discuss the Cartesian refusal of the Greek criterion of demarcation between the two types of curves and try to understand the establishment of new criteria adopted by Descartes. Thus, looking along the dissertation seek to understand the reasons that led the philosopher to discuss and reclassify the curves. To understand the Cartesian distinction between geometric curves and mechanical curves we must first present the context in which these curves appear. In this aspect, it is initially held a historical retrospect of the main curves studied and investigated by the Greeks, as well as its main geometers representatives. In this context, it is reviewed and discussed the key role of the classic problems, which influenced the appearance and desevolvimento of such curves. Are they triggered new investigations and the appearance of new curves. Following a discussion of the Geometry test is carried out, containing an overview of the work, a characterization and demarcation of curves in this area. Next is discussed the understanding of Descartes to distinguish between geometrical and mechanical curves. Finally, conclusions are drawn about the view expressed here. According to Bos (2001), the argument adopted by Descartes to classify the curves was the "philosophical analysis of gemétrica intuition", namely the construction and representation of curves served to create objects known. Behind any choice of procedures for the construction was the intuition of "known-unknown", or, in general, the certainty of intuition in geometry. The overview that fincava her stakes was that the geometry has been shaped by a philosophical concern based on the certainty of geometrical operations, particularly buildings, ie the Cartesian mathematics was (and still is) the mathematics of a philosopher, in this context, that mathematics can not posit no arguments. In this respect, it is understood that Descartes had an idea of rationality based on continuity. Continuing this presupposes that a continuous movement of insights that can be reduced in a whole or in several movements, since continuous and intelligible. For example, in a spider's web, there is a main wire which is touched, it moves all other wires. So is the intuitive continuous movement presupposed by Descartes to the understanding of a geometric curve. The continuity of the generation of a geometric object corresponds to the continuity of mathematical thinking and therefore of understanding of the object continuously. / Matemática, segundo a maioria das pessoas, é uma ciência exata - mas o que significa ser exata? Ou ainda, se é exata, como são seus objetos? Exatos? Ou melhor, o que é um objeto matemático? Como diferencio um objeto matemático de outro? Que características/propriedades são necessárias para que um objeto seja matemático? Ser exato significa ser inteligível? Essas perguntas, que não serão alvo de discussões neste trabalho, foram as desencadeadoras do presente estudo. A proposta é discutir a recusa cartesiana do critério grego de demarcação entre os dois tipos de curvas e procurar entender o estabelecimento de novos critérios adotados por Descartes. Sendo assim, procura-se ao longo da dissertação buscar entender as razões que levaram o filósofo a discutir e reclassificar as curvas. Para compreender a distinção cartesiana entre as curvas geométricas e as curvas mecânicas é preciso inicialmente apresentar o contexto em que tais curvas aparecem. Nesse aspecto, inicialmente é realizado um retrospecto histórico das principais curvas estudadas e investigadas pelos gregos, bem como os seus principais geômetras representantes. Nesse contexto, é comentado e discutido o papel fundamental dos problemas clássicos, os quais influenciaram no aparecimento e desevolvimento de tais curvas. São eles que desencadearam novas investigações e o aparecimento de novas curvas. Na sequência, é realizada uma discussão sobre o ensaio A Geometria, contendo um panorama geral sobre a obra, uma caracterização e uma demarcação das curvas nesse âmbito. Em seguida é discutido o entendimento de Descartes para a distinção entre as curvas geométricas e mecânicas. Por fim, são apresentadas as conclusões a respeito da tese aqui defendida. Segundo Bos (2001), o argumento adotado por Descartes para classificar as curvas foi a “análise filosófica da intuição gemétrica”, ou seja, a construção e a representação das curvas serviram para criar objetos conhecidos. Por trás de qualquer escolha dos procedimentos para a construção estava a intuição do “conhecido-desconhecido”, ou, em geral, a intuição da certeza na geometria. A visão geral que fincava suas estacas era a de que a geometria foi moldada por uma preocupação filosófica baseada na certeza das operações geométricas, em particular das construções, ou seja, a matemática cartesiana era (e ainda é) a matemática de um filósofo e, nesse contexto, essa matemática não se pode postular sem argumentos. Nesse aspecto, fica compreendido que Descartes teve uma ideia de racionalidade baseada na continuidade. Continuidade essa que pressupõe um movimento contínuo de intuições que podem se reduzir em um todo ou em vários movimentos, desde que contínuos e intelegíveis. Por exemplo, em uma teia de aranha, há um fio principal que se tocado, movimenta todos os outros fios. Assim também o é o movimento contínuo intuitivo pressuposto por Descartes para o entendimento de uma curva geométrica. A continuidade da geração de um objeto geométrico corresponde à continuidade do pensamento matemático e, portanto, de compreensão desse objeto de forma contínua.

O presente estudo tem por objetivo analisar, sob a perspectiva antropológica, representações envolvidas no universo simbólico da etiqueta a partir de um campo privilegiado de observação empírica - os cursos de etiqueta oferecidos na cidade de São Paulo nos anos de 1990 - e, também, de instrumentos midiáticos como sites, livros, programas televisivos que constroem um repertório cultural do qual o público se utiliza para consumir tal bem simbólico. Analisamos, por fim, de que forma os aspectos conflitivos e simbólicos que emergem nesse campo polissêmico nos ajudam a compreender a "teia de significados" construída pelos sujeitos envolvidos nessa prática cultural. / The aim of the present study is to anaylise the representation involved in the symbolic universe of etiquette from an anthropological view, based on a privileged field of empirical observation - the etiquette courses taking place in the city of São Paulo in the 1990´s - and also on the media (web sites, books, magazines and tv programmes), which build a cultural fund that provides the public with such symbolic goods. At last we have analysed how the symbolic and conflitive aspects that come out from this varied help us to understand the "web of meanings" created by the individuals involved in this cultural practice.

Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo problematizar a formação dos campos da engenharia e da arquitetura, na cidade de São Paulo, a partir da perspectiva e da intensa atuação dos construtores não diplomados. Principais agentes da construção civil e doméstica da cidade, na passagem do século XIX para o XX, os chamados não diplomados não só continuaram atuando após a regulamentação da profissão em 1933, como tiveram importante participação na constituição do mercado de trabalho, no prestígio profissional e nos mecanismos de consagração de duas das mais importantes profissões da sociedade contemporânea. No entanto, por conta de sua paulatina exclusão profissional e de seu esquecimento historiográfico, ainda são interpretados como \"menores\" na história da arquitetura e do urbanismo. Não obstante, pela quantidade e pela qualidade do que produziram, suas trajetórias trazem à baila uma cidade produzida por centenas de sujeitos de múltiplas nacionalidades e práticas construtivas distintas. Portanto, não se trata apenas de narrar como e por que o movimento corporativo de engenheiros e arquitetos diplomados paulatinamente excluiu os profissionais sem diploma, mas perceber a historicidade da formação dos campos profissionais a partir de uma estreita relação entre os \"licenciados\" e os diplomados, evidenciando assim um círculo de distinção que não dependeu apenas da lógica do diploma. / This research aims to problematize the formation of the fields of engineering and architecture, in the city of São Paulo, from the perspective and the intense performance of the non - qualified constructors. The main agents of the city\'s civil and domestic construction, from the nineteenth century to the twentieth century, the so-called non-graduates not only continued to act after the regulation of the profession in 1933, but also had important participation in the labor market, professional prestige and In the mechanisms of consecration of two of the most important professions of contemporary society. However, because of their gradual professional exclusion and their historiographical oblivion, they are still interpreted as \"minor\" in the history of architecture and urbanism. Nevertheless, because of the quantity and quality of what they produced, their trajectories bring to light a city produced by hundreds of subjects from multiple nationalities and different constructive practices. In this research, we consider that the discourse on creative advertising is consumed as a symbolic good, and the agents of the field value it this way. From this perspective, we formulate our research problem: how the Brazilian advertising field reaches its relative autonomy, considering the speeches on the award criteria in the Letters of the presidents published in the annuals of the Club of Creation of São Paulo. To our analysis, we consider the discourses of the creative advertising of the pieces awarded with gold medal by said Club as well. The empirical object is composed of two corpora: 40 Letters of the Presidents of the Creation Club and 103 printed pieces that received Gold Medal (1975-2015) by the Creation Club, which, as a legitimized institution by the Brazilian publicity field, publishes without interruption, for 40 years, a Yearbook that records the best works. We have as main objective to problematize the legitimacy logics of the Brazilian advertising field, from a view on creative advertising. Our secondary objectives are to establish relationships between some moments of the Brazilian consumer society and the development of the advertising field in our country. Analyze the subfield of advertising creation in the context of the creative revolution, which gives rise to what is called creative advertising. Analyze the saying and not-sayings of the discursive formation of publicity, particularly those related to criteria of judgment. Analyze the technical elements (creative resources) responsible for what we call the creative distinction of the awarded pieces. Identify the tacit or explicit criteria involved in evaluating and judging advertising pieces in the context of awarding and legitimating the Brazilian advertising field. The thesis consists of two parts, subdivided into two chapters. In the first part, in chapter 1, we use the theories of the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu, particularly his theories of the fields, to reflect on the legitimacy logics and the processes of relative autonomization of the Brazilian advertising field. In Chapter 2, we are particularly dedicated to the subfield of advertising creation. The second part of this work is dedicated to the analysis of the two corpora that integrate organically only one empirical object: in chapter 3, we analyze the sayings and not sayings of the Letters on criteria of judgment of the pieces consecrated in the awarding from the theoretical-methodological framework of the French Speech Analysis. In chapter 4, we analyze the Pieces from the reflection of Brazilian researchers in the area of advertising creation, as well as by means of a Protocol of Analysis proposed by the author. The achieved results allow us to affirm that the concept of creative distinction helps to reveal that the consecration of the pieces in the context of awards, is the result of a complex operation that involves the technical evaluation of the piece and the legitimacy logics of agents in the subfield of advertising creation, considering the socio-historical conditions of production and evaluation of the pieces. / Esta pesquisa tem como objeto as lógicas de legitimação do campo publicitário brasileiro no processo de sua autonomização relativa, a partir de uma visada sobre a publicidade criativa. Considerando-se que o discurso sobre a publicidade criativa é consumido como bem simbólico e valorizado pelos agentes do campo, formulamos nosso problema de pesquisa: como o campo publicitário brasileiro consolida sua autonomia relativa, a partir dos discursos sobre os critérios de premiação presentes nas Cartas dos presidentes publicadas nos anuários do Clube de Criação de São Paulo, bem como dos discursos da publicidade criativa expressos em peças premiadas com medalha de ouro pelo referido Clube? O objeto empírico é composto por dois corpora: 40 Cartas dos Presidentes do Clube de Criação e 103 Peças impressas que receberam medalha de Ouro (1975-2015) pelo Clube de Criação que, além de ser legitimado pelo campo publicitário brasileiro, publica ininterruptamente, há 40 anos, um Anuário que registra os melhores trabalhos. Temos como objetivo principal problematizar as lógicas de legitimação do campo publicitário brasileiro, a partir de uma visada sobre a publicidade criativa. E como objetivos secundários: estabelecer relação entre alguns momentos da sociedade de consumo brasileira com o desenvolvimento do campo publicitário em nosso país; analisar o subcampo da criação publicitária no contexto da revolução criativa, que dá origem ao que se denomina publicidade criativa; analisar os ditos e não-ditos da formação discursiva publicitária, particularmente aqueles relativos a critérios de julgamento; analisar os elementos técnicos (recursos criativos) responsáveis pelo que denominamos distinção criativa das peças premiadas; identificar os critérios tácitos ou explícitos envolvidos na avaliação e julgamento de peças publicitárias no contexto da premiação e de legitimação do campo publicitário brasileiro. A tese é composta por duas partes, cada uma subdividida em dois capítulos. Na primeira parte, no capítulo 1, a partir dos estudos sobre campo do sociólogo francês Pierre Bourdieu, refletimos sobre as lógicas de legitimação e os processos de autonomização relativa do campo publicitário brasileiro; já no capítulo 2, dedicamo-nos particularmente ao subcampo da criação publicitária. A segunda parte deste trabalho dedica-se à analise dos dois corpora que integram organicamente uma só empiria: no capítulo 3, analisamos os ditos e não-ditos das Cartas sobre critérios de julgamento das peças consagradas na premiação a partir do quadro teóricometodológico da Análise de Discurso de linha francesa. No capítulo 4, dedicamo-nos a análise das Peças a partir da reflexão de pesquisadores brasileiros da área da criação publicitária, bem como por meio de um Protocolo de Análise proposto pela autora. Quanto aos resultados alcançados, podemos afirmar que o conceito de Distinção Criativa auxilia a revelar que a consagração das peças em contexto de premiação é resultado de uma complexa operação que envolve a valoração técnica da peça e as lógicas de legitimação dos agentes no subcampo da criação publicitária, considerando as condições sócio-históricas de produção e avaliação das peças.
