Análisis y relación del Precio de cobre con el Riesgo País: Caso peruano 2002-2019 / Analysis and relationship of the price of copper with the country risk: Peruvian case 2002-2019

El presente trabajo analiza el riesgo país de la economía peruana, poniendo énfasis en el efecto del precio del cobre. Se realiza una revisión de la literatura de las variables macroeconómicas y factores internacionales que influyen en el Riesgo país. Además, se estudia su relación con el precio del cobre y a los mecanismos de transmisión. En primer lugar, se analiza un modelo MCO para determinar la relación de las variables con el Embig, pero no cumple con el supuesto de homocedasticidad, debido principalmente a que la variable Embig es una variable financiera, por lo que se plantea un modelo GARCH. Los principales resultados son que el precio del cobre, el tipo de cambio, la relación entre Deuda y PBI, tienen un impacto significativo en el Embig. Las variables de cobre y liquidez en dólares poseen un efecto negativo sobre el Riesgo país. Además, el Embig, responde significativamente a la volatilidad en la actividad económica internacional, medido por los bonos americanos a vencimiento de tres meses, y el VIX. / This paper analyzes the country risk of the Peruvian economy, emphasizing the effect of the price of copper. A literature review of the macroeconomic variables and international factors that influence the country risk is made. In addition, its relation with the price of copper and the transmission mechanisms are studied. First, an MCO model is analyzed to determine the relationship of the variables with the Embig, but it does not comply with the homocedasticity assumption, mainly because the Embig variable is a financial variable, so a GARCH model is proposed. The main results are that the price of copper, the exchange rate and the relationship between Debt and GDP have a significant impact on Embig. The copper and liquidity variables in dollars have a negative effect on the Country Risk. Besides, Embig responds significantly to the volatility in the international economic activity, measured by the American bonds with a three-month maturity, and the VIX. / Trabajo de investigación

[pt] Este trabalho analisa os Fundos Referenciados ao Dólar no Brasil no período de julho/2000 a junho/2001. Foram especificamente selecionados os fundos disponíveis ao público de varejo. Dentro do tema tratado, foi discutida a questão do cupom cambial brasileiro e das suas variações nos negócios realizados com os ativos disponíveis no mercado - o cupom - sujo - e o cupom - limpo -. O principal objetivo da pesquisa foi o de identificar diferentes grupamentos na população dos fundos estudada. Para tanto, foram analisados os aspectos variáveis mercadológicas e variáveis financeiras para cada fundo. Dentre as variáveis mercadológicas foram tratadas taxa de administração, requisitos de aplicação mínima inicial, patrimônio líquido, regime de negociação de cotas e tipo de cota.No que diz respeito às variáveis financeiras foram identificados e avaliados o benchmark, as relações de desempenho através do Índice de Sharpe e Retorno Diferencial sobre o Sigma e foram feitas comparações entre os indicadores de retorno e risco das cotas em dólar com o cenário do cupom de mercado no período. / [en] The object of this study were the Investment Funds Indexed to the Dollar available to the general investor in the Brazilian market, from July/2000 to June/2001. In order to analyse their behaviour, the study discussed the theoretical background of the return rate curve for dollar related assets in Brazil and how it impacts their negotiations, by producing two different terms - the -clean- rate and the -dirty- rate. The main goal of the research was to find out if the funds could be separated into different clusters. In order to achieve this, two different aspects of the funds were studied - marketing and financial. Their marketing characteristics dealt with fees, minimum investment requirements, relevant day for the NAVPS and NAVPS availability. The financial characteristics were approached by their return and risk, benchmark and performance index analysis - thru the Sharpe Index and the Differential Return over the Sigma. The return and risk obtained for the funds were also compared to the return and risk observed in the domestic curve of the Brazilian risk up to 720 days.

In September, 1979, the Financial Accounting Standards Board issued FASB Statement No. 33, which required certain corporations to issue specified supplementary information based on constant dollars and current costs. This information is intended to show the impact of inflation on the reported earnings and capital of business enterprises. Opponents of Statement No. 33 claim that the required supplementary information is difficult to interpret and, therefore, will not be used. Proponents contend that the information is self-explanatory and would highlight the impact of inflation on the performance of business enterprises. Thus, they conclude the supplementary data will be useful to various user groups and will be used. This dissertation's primary objective was to determine whether the supplementary data will be used by financial analysts in the Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston regions in evaluating an enterprise's operating performance and its ability to maintain physical operating capability and the general purchasing power of financial capital.

Therefore, we sought to examine how learning is accomplished legal practitioners, the trajectory of Legal Education in Brazil, which contents are being worked on curriculum subjects and whether they provide knowledge of humanistic slant to the development of meaningful learning, so that students, in their profession, act in society that has undergone significant transformations and changes with regard to social, economic, political, cultural and technological. It was intended to finally prove the importance of integration of the areas of academic knowledge, interdisciplinarity, since it does require a learning focused on social reality in which they live future jurists in order to gain an understanding not only dogmatic and technicist, but an understanding of historical, sociological, psychological, anthropological and philosophical, humanistic training - critical education, liberating education, innovative curriculum, individual, university culture, cultural diversity, pillars of education, interdisciplinarity. In this sense, the research problem was to determine: "How is the Humanistic Education in undergraduate courses in law that arise and identify with innovative curricula in contemporary society?". Regarding methodology, we conducted a literature search based on books and journals with regard to the themes of the research. Moreover, there was also a documentary research and a case study with a qualitative approach and a descriptive and analytical, and, as a methodological procedure, interviews with teachers, lawyers, Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo - PUC -SP in order to discuss about the tradition, the history and prospects of law school for the Brazilian Legal Education in order to verify the proposed innovative in their curriculum / A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo investigar como se dá a formação do futuro profissional do Direito na Universidade para o ingresso no mercado de trabalho, o processo de profissionalização, a atuação pedagógica dos professores em sala de aula. Para tanto, pretendeu-se verificar como é realizada a aprendizagem das profissões jurídicas, a trajetória do Ensino Jurídico no Brasil, quais conteúdos estão sendo trabalhados nas disciplinas do currículo e se os mesmos proporcionam conhecimentos de cunho humanístico para o desenvolvimento de uma aprendizagem significativa, fazendo com que os alunos, em sua profissão, atuem na sociedade que tem passado por relevantes transformações e mudanças no que diz respeito aos aspectos sociais, econômicos, políticos, culturais e tecnológicos. Les répercussions du plan Marshall sur les comportements économiques du Canada durant la période de l'après-guerre

La période de l’après-guerre posa d’importants défis commerciaux à l’économie canadienne. Les années entre 1945 et 1950 furent effectivement marquées par la rupture de son système commercial traditionnel et la recherche d’une stratégie alternative. Le pays dut composer avec un déficit commercial croissant à l’égard des États-Unis, ainsi qu’une chute de ses exportations à destination du Royaume-Uni, ruiné par les années de guerre. Ce déséquilibre commercial qui menaçait d’épuiser les réserves canadiennes de dollars américains reflétait l’écart entre les capacités productives des deux rives de l’Atlantique. Le programme de reconstruction des économies européennes, ou plan Marshall, fut accueilli avec enthousiasme à Ottawa puisqu’il devait non seulement rétablir les marchés du Vieux Continent, mais également faciliter la mise en place d’un réseau multilatéral d’échanges et la libéralisation du commerce international. Les tensions de la guerre froide limitèrent toutefois l’ouverture de ces marchés aux marchandises canadiennes, puisque l’endiguement du communisme commanda une consolidation européenne qui privilégia le démantèlement des entraves aux échanges intra-européens, aux dépens du commerce transatlantique. Les préoccupations de Washington en matière de sécurité collective devaient néanmoins laisser place à une stratégie alternative pour le Canada, en poussant la coopération économique des deux pays, dans le but d’optimiser une production de défense destinée aux pays membres de l’OTAN, dont la demande était soutenue par l’aide Marshall. L’incorporation du Canada dans ce dispositif de défense élargie à la communauté atlantique permit ainsi d’assurer un accès privilégié à ses marchandises sur le marché américain, et par conséquent de progresser vers l’équilibre commercial. / The postwar years brought many challenges to the Canadian economy in terms of trade policies. Indeed, in the years between 1945 and 1950, Canada experienced growing trade imbalances as imports from the United States market reached new peaks and exports to the United Kingdom decreased dramatically due to financial exhaustion caused by the war. These developments soon raised concerns as the country was faced with the prospect of foreign reserves depletion, a situation mainly caused by the productivity gap existing between the economies of the two sides of the Atlantic. The American sponsored European Recovery Program or Marshall Plan was met with enthusiasm in Ottawa as it intended to restore economic viability of the European markets as well as to establish a multilateral trade system based on non-discriminatory trade practices. The international tensions of the nascent Cold War were to limit these achievements as the need for a strong Europe dictated the elimination of restrictive trade practices between European commercial partners without giving equal treatment to transatlantic trade relations. However, the conflictual Cold War context was to offer an alternative strategy to the Canadian’s quest for dollars, for Washington’s collective security concerns paved the way to closer economic cooperation and privileged access to Canadian exports of strategic materials and other defence related commodities in the American market. The Marshall Plan was a key element of the procurement mechanism of the NATO country whose demand alleviated the pressure on Canadian foreign reserves through greater exports to the United Stated.
