Na presente pesquisa, foi abordada a problemática da violência doméstica contra mulheres, tendo como campo de análise o Centro de Referência da Mulher "Heleieth Saffioti", situado na cidade de Araraquara, São Paulo. Tendo por objetivo traçar um perfil sócio-econômico das 1414 mulheres atendidas no órgão, no período de junho de 2001 a dezembro de 2006, ressaltando quesitos como: a idade, o estado conjugal, a renda individual, a etnia, o grau de escolaridade e a ocupação profissional das mulheres. Buscou-se também conhecer e compreender os mecanismos estruturais da organização social de gênero, incorporados pelas mulheres atendidas no órgão, vítimas de violência doméstica cometida pelo (ex) companheiro. Utilizando como referencial teóricometodológico, o conceito de relações de gênero, de "habitus" e violência doméstica, foram analisadas as maneiras pelas quais as mulheres, escolhidas para a análise, ressignificam/subvertem o conjunto de esquemas classificatórios que consagram a dominação masculina, nas relações de violência. / Abstract: The domestic violence, a serious social problem that it affects thousands of women daily all over the world in all of the ages, social classes, etnia/races, education degrees, sexual orientation and religion, is considered one of the most serious manifestations of gender violence. In the present research, the problem of the domestic violence was approached against women, having as analysis field the Center of Reference of the Mulher " Heleieth Saffioti ", located in the city of Araraquara, São Paulo. Aiming to draw a socioeconomic profile of the women assisted in the organ, in the period of June of 2001 to December of 2006, emphasizing requirements as: the age, the matrimonial state, the individual income, the etnia/races, the education degree and the women's professional occupation, was looked for to know and to understand the structural mechanisms of the social organization of gender, incorporate for the women assisted in the organ, victims of domestic violence committed by the (former) companion. Using as theoretical-methodological reference, the concept of gender relationships, of " habitus " and symbolic violence, the ways were analyzed by the which the women, chosen for the analysis, resignify/subvert the group of qualifying outlines that consecrate the masculine dominance, in the violence relationships. / Doutor

Este trabalho analisou algumas das estratégias de enfrentamento desse fenômeno complexo, tendo como recorte analítico a operacionalização de ações dos profissionais da saúde pública. Objetivou-se neste estudo analisar o modo de pensar e de agir dos profissionais que atuam na saúde pública, no que toca à violência conjugal contra mulheres. Utilizou-se a abordagem qualitativa viabilizando condições para a compreensão da visão de mundo como imanente às ações dos sujeitos sociais, foco desta pesquisa. Optou-se por alguns instrumentos de coleta dos dados, tais como a observação participante, a entrevista e a análise documental. Com relação às respostas dos profissionais da saúde sujeitos da pesquisa, estas ocorreram de forma complexa e contraditória. As intervenções desses trabalhadores não colocaram em relevo a necessidade de superação da dominação-exploração baseada na classe, etnia/raça e patriarcado, o que implicou no não enfrentamento da violência doméstica conjugal e no não atendimento das reais demandas apresentadas pelas mulheres que a sofrem. Deparou-se também, com alguns sujeitos que demonstraram uma tentativa de rompimento da visão patriarcal, todavia, não conseguiram estabelecer nexos e conexões com uma análise mais ampla da realidade social e, dessa forma, não superaram uma visão tendencialmente falocêntrica. Para o enfrentamento da ordem patriarcal de gênero e de suas formas de materialização como a violência doméstica contra mulheres, são fundamentais a elaboração e execução de políticas públicas e a dotação orçamentária no âmbito Federal, Municipal e Estadual...(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The domestic violence against women is one of the ways of materialization of the structural violence entered in the system of exploitation-domination guided in capitalism, patriarchy and racism. This study examined some of the coping strategies of this complex phenomenon, being the analytical cut the operationalization of actions of public health professionals. The objective of this study was to examine the way of thinking and acting of the professionals who work in public health with regard to domestic violence against women. It was used a qualitative approach to enable the conditions for the understanding of the vision of world as immanent to the actions of the social subjects, focus of this research. Thus, it was chosen some instruments for collecting data, such as participant observation, interviews and documentary analysis. With regard to the responses from health professionals subject of the search, they occurred in complexes and contradictories ways. Thus, the interventions of such employees did not put emphasis on the need for overcoming the dominationexploration based in the class, ethnicity / race and patriarchy, which meant in not fighting the domestic conjugal violence and in not caring the actual demands made by women that suffer it. It was encountered also some subjects who showed an attempt of disruption of the patriarchal vision, however, the health professionals failed to establish links and connections with a broader analysis of the social reality and thus did not overcome a vision tended to privilege the men.
