Účinky specifických poruch učení na self-koncept a sociometrickou pozici dítěte ve třídě / Self concept in children with learning disabilities

This diploma thesis deals with the self-concept of children in the class which have the specific diseases of learning. These kids are in their pre-adolescent age (12-15 years). The first part of the thesis gives the definitions related to the discussed topic and these defined terms aim to offer basic information to the reader about the issue. The next part reflects the research itself which aspires to find out and compare the self-concept of children with the specific learning disorder with children who were not diagnosed with this disease. The standardized tests were used for the research which allowed to find out the level of extroversion, introversion and neuroticism in case of children and also, these research were used to find out whether there is an effort for desiderabiltiy, and further such child´s positiion among other kids, his imagination of learning skills and abilities in different subject; i.e. whether the types of specific learning disorder can negatively influence mental stability of the child and whether these have a contribution in relation to his possible neurotic development.

New fish products on the market and the methods of the sensorial quality assesment are still a very important part of the business strategy. After killing and filleting fish there are problem with the use of the remaining parts of the fish body. The solution of this problem is the fish separate, which is suitable for development of new fish products (e.g. fish sausages). These fish products are senzory evaluated then. There are various methods for the judgement of the sensorial profile of the picked fish product and this is practised either by means of the machines or by the subjective judgement of the educated experts. The changes of the sensorial marks (smell, taste, aftertaste,consistence) are judged according to the form of the quality criteria. Fish meal, mainly that of fresh water fish, is a type of commodity which should be enforced and which seems to have a good perspective in the market. That´s why learning these methods and of course their subsequent application is very important for the demand of fish meal.

Este trabalho apresenta o desenvolvimento de dois equipamentos orientados a microprocessador para aquisição e armazenamento automatizado de variáveis físico-químicas da água. Os equipamentos desenvolvidos operam conjuntamente com uma sonda de medidas que fornece dados relativos as variáveis medidas de temperatura, pH, oxigênio dissolvido, condutividade, turbidez e profundidade. Outro estudante de mestrado Ronaldo Bruno desenvolveu a sonda de medidas em trabalho anterior. O primeiro equipamento desenvolvido neste trabalho, denominado UMAM, é uma unidade de visualização; este coleta dados da sonda e realiza o processamento destes para mostrar as medidas de uma maneira apropriada. Este equipamento também permite a realização de algumas calibrações de suas leituras. O segundo equipamento, denominado UA, opera conectado a UMAM, armazenando as variáveis medidas em um dispositivo de memória de cartão removível (PC CARD). A UA, também permite transferir os valores armazenados a um computador pessoal para manipulação destes dados e a produção de relatórios. Ambos os equipamentos desenvolvidos utilizam microcontroladores da família MCS-51. Estes microcontroladores são responsáveis pelas tarefas de processamento dos dados e controle dos processos. Os equipamentos foram avaliados qualitativamente e quantitativamente em laboratório, utilizando-se de amostras de água com características físico e químicas bem conhecidas, demonstrando um bom desempenho e adequação para utilização em campo. / This work presents the development of two microprocessor-based equipment for automatic data acquisition and storage of water physical and chemical variables. The developed equipment works together with a measuring probe which supplies data related to the measured variables, namely temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, turbidity and depth. Another MSc student Ronald Bruno in his mastering work previously developed the measuring probe. The first equipment developed, called UMAM, is a visualization unit; it collects the data from the probe and performs the processing to show the data in an appropriate manner, it allows also performing some calibrations. The second equipment, called UA, operated connected to the UMAM, storing the measured variables in to a removable card memory device (PC CARD). The UA, allows also to transfer the stored values to a personal computer for data manipulation and to produce reports. Both developed equipment used microcontrollers of the MCS-51 family. The microcontrollers are responsible for data processing and process control tasks. The equipments have been evaluated qualitatively and quantitatively in the lab using water samples of well-known physical and chemical characteristics, demonstrating to have good performance and to be adequate for use in the field.

The subject of this dissertation is the process of the Environmental Impact Assessment in relation to the respective European legislation. The dissertation aims at providing a comprehensive analysis of the current Environmental Impact Assessment legislation, including its historical, international and European contexts. The dissertation proceeds in five chapters. Chapter One outlines the general characteristics of the Environmental Impact Assessment procedure and the principles that govern it. Chapter Two examines the development of the Environmental Impact Assessment process in international law, with emphasis on the Aarhus Convention. Chapter Three focuses on the anchoring of the procedure in European law. The core part, then, is Chapter Four, which delineates the separate phases of the Environmental Impact Assessment process as defined in Czech legislation. In the last chapter, the expected changes in the concept of the Environmental Impact Assessment are sketched.

Unga med normbrytande beteende löper en relativt hög risk för en långvarig negativ utveckling. För att förhindra detta krävs tidiga effektiva insatser som i sin tur kräver tillförlitliga bedömningsinstrument som identifierar risker och behov hos unga med, eller i riskzonen för normbrytande beteende. Just detta är syftet med ESTER-bedömning. Föreliggande studies syfte var att undersöka interbedömarreliabiliteten av ESTER-bedömning inklusive en ny kandidatskala för riskfaktorerna . Två oberoende bedömare genomförde ESTER-bedömningar på journalmaterial tillhörande 30 tvångsomhändertagna flickor, 15-20 år. Resultaten visar en spridning mellan bristfällig till mycket bra interbedömarreliabilitet på de 19 risk- och skyddsfaktorerna i ESTER-bedömning, med få fall av total oenighet mellan bedömarna. En jämförelse mellan den befintliga skalan och kandidatskalan visade marginella skillnader. Vidare forskning av interbedömarreliabilitet för ESTER-bedömning bör testa skalorna var för sig och inkludera intervjuer som informationskälla. / Youths with normbreaking behavior is at higher risk for a negative development. To prevent this, there is a need for reliable assessments that can identify risk and need for youths with, or at risk for normbreaking behavior. This is the purpose of ESTER-assessment. This study evaluated the inter-rater reliability of two different scales in ESTER-assessment. Two independent judges conducted ESTER-assessment on case files of 30 institutionalized girls, aged 15-20 years. The results revealed poor to excellent agreement and few cases of total disagreements. The two different scales showed a minimal difference. In further research of the inter-rater reliability of ESTER-assessment there is a need for testing the two scales separately and to include interviews as a source of information.

Formativ bedömning i historieämnet : En kvalitativ intervjustudie av lärares uppfattningar om formativ bedömning i historieämnet

In my research, I conducted semi-structured interviews with the help of a qualitative method to investigate how formative assessment is applied by teachers and what the pros and cons they experience there are. The interviewed teachers have presented several different methods and strategies for how they apply formative assessment in the history subject, they have also presented the advantages and disadvantages of formative assessment in the history subject. The methods presented by the teacher include two stars and a wish in which the teacher gives students formative feedback in the form of a comment on what can be improved and two comments on what was good about the work. Another method is self-assessing in which students can judge themselves on a scale of 1-10 where 10 is that they have worked to the best of their ability. The advantages presented by several teachers are that the formative assessment helps students to advance their learning, it develops into the tool that helps students to develop the ability to reflect and analyze their own knowledge development. Some disadvantages presented are that teachers find it more difficult to work with assessment in the history subject because of the substance and it becomes harder for the teachers to motivate their students to learn compared to other subjects. Another disadvantage is that skills must be developed in the subject of history and the teachers find that it can be difficult to take on what abilities it is that should be developed and how to proceed. / I min undersökning har jag med hjälp av en kvalitativ metod genomfört semistrukturerade intervjuer för att undersöka hur formativ bedömning tillämpas av lärare och vilka för och nackdelar de anser att det finns. De intervjuade lärarna har presenterat flera olika metoder och strategier för hur de tillämpar formativ bedömning i historieämnet, de har även presenterat vilka för och nackdelar formativ bedömning har i historieämnet. De metoder som lärarna presenterat är bland annat two stars and a wish i vilket läraren ger elever formativ feedback i form av en kommentar om vad som kan förbättras och två kommentarer om vad som var bra med arbetet. En annan metod är självskattning i vilket elever får bedöma sig själva på en skala 1–10 där 10 är att de har arbetat utefter sin bästa förmåga. De fördelar som presenteras bland flera lärare är att den formativa bedömningen hjälper elever att föra fram sitt lärande, det utvecklas till verktyget som hjälper elever att utveckla förmågan att reflektera och analysera över sin egen kunskapsutveckling. Några nackdelar som presenteras är att lärarna upplever att det är svårare att arbeta med bedömning i historieämnet på grund av stoffet och det blir svårare för lärare att motivera sina elever att lära sig jämfört med andra ämnen. En annan nackdel är att det måste utvecklas förmågor i historieämnet och lärarna upplever att det kan vara svårt att ta på vilka förmågor det är som ska utvecklas och hur man ska gå tillväga.

Pevnostní a deformační analýza parametrické řady hydraulických napínáků / Strength and deformation analysis of parametric family of hydraulic stretchers

The master thesis is focused on an evaluation of a preload lost in a tappered joint. The analyzed bolts are preloaded by a hydraulic tensioner. When the tensioner is removed, the joint is established and the preload in bolt is decreased. The analysisis carried out on axisymmetry model of joint in ANSYS Workbench 15, a finite element method is implemented in that software. The evaluation of the preload lost is made for a used range of ratio of clamped length to a nominal diameter of bolt. Geometry and material assumptions are defined. Before preloading of bolts to a desired value the process of stabilization preloading must be done otherwise outlines of the analysis are not applicable. On the base of the outlines of the analysis, the method for analytical computing of the desired pretension is done. The method involves the preload lost, which occurs due to establishment of the joint. The strength assesment of the hydraulic tensioner for bolts M72x4 is done. A 3D model of the tensioner with one plane of symmetry was used. Strength criteria for maximum allowed linear-elastic stress are in accordance with ČSN EN 13 445-3.

Development of Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) Wall Inspection Plan and Procedure For Failure Mode Analysis and Risk Assesment

A large component of the State of Utah's transportation network involves the use of MSE walls, which have proven useful in infrastructure for their reduced costs and footprint compared to other alternatives. As effective as MSE walls have been in responding to demands in transportation, they also have inherent challenges. For the majority of MSE walls the structure is limited in observation as structural components are buried as part of the soils mass. This inability to observe at can lead to the development of complex failure mechanisms, which can be difficult to assess and anticipate. As society becomes increasingly reliant on the transportation networks for goods, services, and security, properly understanding the potential failure mechanisms of MSE walls also increases in importance. This thesis discusses the development of an inspection procedure, data collection, geotechnical asset management database, and an evaluation of gathered information to be used in a reliability analysis of MSE walls for the State of Utah. The findings suggest areas of improvement in the design, specifications, maintenance, and further investigation of MSE walls.
