The master´s thesis analyzes the performance of company Řetězárna Ltd. by using the Model START, which is based on the EFQM Excellence Model principle. The first part is devoted to the theoretical description of performance measurement. The second part of the master´s thesis deals with the application of these theoretical findings in practice, in the form of an analysis according to the Model START. In the last part of the master´s thesis, according to the results of the analytical part, are proposed new possible improvements to increase the performance of Řetězárna Ltd.

The first part of this work consists of the theoretical basis of the specific issue. The second part focuses on introducing the company and performing a situation analysis. The following part is a key part of this work, it contains the actual implementation of benchmarking of the company with selected competitors. The final part of this work summarizes the main findings obtained from individual analyses and recommendations for improving the company's performance.

The theoretical part of the thesis presents primary tools of economic and financial evaluation of companies, inluding the already mentioned EFQM model. The analytical part of the thesis describes the current situation of selected company and the evalution is performed through the START model questionnaire, which is based on the principles of the EFQM model. The final part of the thesis contains recommendations to increase the company’s performance and achieve a consistently high level of business excelence.

The subject of this diploma thesis is evaluation of the performance of the selected company using financial and especially non-financial approaches. The financial situation of the enterprise is assessed using financial analysis and economic value added. Non-financial approaches to performance evaluation are the EFQM Model Excellence and the method of Balanced Scorecard. Diploma thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part Literary research are described financial analysis, economic added value, EFQM Model Excellence and the method of Balanced Scorecard. In the practical part is briefly presented the characteristic of the company and subsequently applied selected methods. The results of the methods used are compared with each other and then proposals to increase the competitiveness of the company are developed. At the end of the thesis, the possibility of generalizing used approaches and pro-posals for other companies in the sector is considered.

This diploma thesis is focused on evaluation of performance in two agricultural companies. In order to make proposals of recommendations in competitiveness. There are used financial and non-financial methods for evaluation. Within financial methods used in the thesis are financial analysis and economic value added. EFQM Model Excelence is used as a non-financial method. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part contains theoretical essentials required for the second part - Own work. In the second part there are companies described individually and there are also applied chosen methods. Results from applied methods are evaluated later on. On the basis of the evaluation are made proposals of recommendations to increase a productivity of the companies.

The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the current state and performance development of the selected company with a proposal for a recommendation to improve it. The company's situation is assessed by both financial and non-financial measures. The diploma thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical basis of the solution defines performance, financial analysis and its basic financial indicators. Then the Balanced Scorecard and EFQM Excellence Model are presented here. The second part, called Self-solving problems, proposing recommendations and concrete proposals, contains the application of the above mentioned methods. The results obtained are then compared with the recommended values, the industry and the largest competitor. Based on these results, proposals are made to increase the performance of the analyzed enterprise.

La gestion des connaissances, fortement facilitée par l’introduction des TIC, est perçue au niveau de l’organisation comme un moyen de gérer au mieux son capital intellectuel. La connaissance étant devenue à la fois un support et un facteur important du changement organisationnel, l’intérêt des TIC se situe dans la possibilité de générer une importante base de connaissances interactive et facilement accessible et exploitable par les utilisateurs. Dans cette thèse, nous proposons d’étudier l’adoption de la gestion des connaissances comme une nouvelle approche pour la gestion des organisations en Algérie. Nous orientons notre problématique vers la création de valeur organisationnelle, qui a pour conséquence l’amélioration de la performance. La spécificité de notre objet de recherche est abordée à travers une méthodologie qualitative. L’originalité de ce travail se trouve dans la prise en compte de deux niveaux d’analyse : le niveau global et le niveau des organisations. Pour étudier le niveau global, nous nous inscrivons dans une démarche de compréhension de l’application d’une stratégie de gestion des connaissances à un projet de gouvernance électronique en Algérie. Le niveau des organisations est étudié à travers une étude de cas multiple destinée à rechercher des régularités, des divergences et des convergences entre les éléments des différents cas étudiés. L’objectif de cette recherche, qui s’inscrit dans un cadre d’analyse multidimensionnel et reste essentiellement exploratoire, est de comprendre etd’expliquer les relations qualitatives qui régissent le phénomène que nous étudions. / Knowledge management, which is very simplified by the IT introduction, is seen in the organisation as a means for the best management of the intellectual capital. As knowledge has become both a support and an important factor of the organisational change, the IT’s interest lies in the capacity of generating an important interactive base of knowledge which is easy to access and to exploit. In this thesis, we study the adoption of knowledge management as a new approach for the management of organisations in Algeria. Our problematic is turned towards the organisational value creation, which results in performance improvement. The specificity of our research’s object is dealt through a qualitative methodology. The originality of this work is to take into account two analysis levels: the global level and the organisations level. To study the global level, we lead an approach to understanding the application of a strategy of knowledge management in an electronic governance project in Algeria. We study the organisations level through a multi-case study, to look for regularities, divergences and convergences between the elements of the different studied cases. The objective of this research, which is essentially exploratory, lies within the framework multidimensional analysis to understand and explain the qualitative relations which characterize the phenomenon we are studying.

The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is focusing to theoretical bases of work, it is a brief introduction to business performance and utilization of modern indicators to measure it with an emphasis on benchmarking. In second part, we deal with the practical application of information acquired and that a specific enterprise. It is an analysis of the current situation with companies in the same field of business. With the help of financial analysis, SWOT matrix identify the strengths and weaknesses of the company. The most important part is devoted to benchmarking based on publicly available data from the financial statements. For these purposes, I especially enjoyed the information from the available statement. Based on the information they are designed adequate opportunities in improving and recommendations for evaluating enterprise.
