The topic of this thesis is the application of business process management approach to an operating franchise network. The aim is to describe the current state of the company, iden-tify problem areas complicating further development and to propose the future state of the company and plan the transition to this state. The theoretical part presents the issue of franchising and the selected topics from the field of process management, which provides the basis for the practical part, devoted to design the proposed changes and plans for their implementation. Work can be interesting in terms of linking of franchising and process management, appli-cation of which it suggests.

The subject of the diploma thesis are procedures in EPS network related to the operation of mobile terminals. In the introduction of my work I described the EPS system, including the quality of services and bearers. The following section focuses on control procedures in the EPS system such as attach network procedure, detach procedure, service request, handover or tracking area procedure. Further, three technologies for Internet of Things were described, namely EC-GSM-IoT, LTE-M and NB-IoT. All the procedures mentioned above were also captured in the experimental VUT EPS network and analyzed by TravelHawk using software M5 and Wireshark. Theoretical and practical findings were subsequently used out for setting of laboratory task for subject MKPM.

The diploma thesis focuses on the assessment of the information system in the selected company. It analyzes the current state of the company and its equipment. Thesis includes proposals to minimize or eliminate identified deficiences and increase the level of work with information system, security and processes in company.

This paper is focusing on the company analysis of Kolumbus PM. Moreover, the information system has been faced with deeper analysis. Finding the weaknesses of the information system and improvement suggestions was a major purpose. Prepared concept of changes leading to information system improvements is the result of this thesis.

The diploma thesis is focused on the improvement of goods ordering process through the wholesale system in a small company dealing with import of household products and gift items from Asian countries. Diploma thesis is divided into three parts. The theoretical part serves as an introduction to business processes, information systems and change management. The second part consists of an analysis of the internal environment of the company, a B2B ordering process analysis and a research on requirements for an improved version of the wholesale system. The third part is devoted to a proposal of the ordering process improvement and suggestion of a new version of the wholesale system based on the identified requirements of the process and stakeholders.

Content of my diploma thesis is to set light to basics of database information systems. This thesis provides a summary of information system architectures. These information systems are analysed with focus on their effectiveness and efficient use in the enterprise oriented on real estate management. After analyzing these IS architectu-res, analysis of the selected company´s IS and company as such, follows the creation of design of an information system according to the estabilished facts, specifications and requirements for the particular company.

This thesis deals with design for creating IS to support planning budget for Bosch Diesel s.r.o., used by department FCM-Jh. If it verifies functionality of IS, it should become a support for the company in this field. The IS should in particular unify existing planning costs FCM-Jh. Determine is there a firm structure and support of IS in two main areas. The first area deals with the planning process of investment and cost means in their budgets managed by the department FCM-Jh and subsequent ordering of works and services FCM-Jh and its records. The second area is for planning costs for building maintenance and investment in plant and equipment FCM-Jh.

Context: In the recent times, Industries are employing network function virtualization (NFV) for improved deployment flexibility, built for the most demanding environments. The benefits of Ericsson virtual Evolved Packet Core includes all the benefits of NFV and provides verified solutions addressing a large number of vertical use-cases. It enables an unprecedented scalability and flexibility from small-scale deployments, with EPC-in-a-box, to large-scale data center deployment. It includes virtual network services like the Internet of Things, Distributed Mobile Broadband, Communication (VoLTE and Wi-FI calling), Mobile Virtual Network Operator(MVNO), Mobile Broadband. Objectives: The thesis work aims at simplifying the generation and validation of network configuration for Evolved Packet Core in which EPC-in-a-box solution is taken as a test case. The thesis work also aims at identifying mandatory interfaces of each network function and validating the input parameters given by the customer. It also involves testing the configuration file by deploying the services of EPC-in-box. Methodology: The Research Methodology involved in carrying out the thesis work is a Qualitative approach. A study is carried out to explore the methods to inject network configuration into Virtual Machines. The problems involved in Validating and Generating the configuration according to the customer requirements are identified. A suitable method is developed to simplify the process. Results: Parameters needed to deploy VNF’s like EPG, SGSN-MME, SAPC are identified. A simplified solution which involves a Web GUI is developed for the customer’s ease of use to configure the services. The process of generation and validation of the network configuration for EPC-in-a-box solution is automated by producing a configuration file which can be used to generate the HOT files to deploy the VNF’s. Conclusions: From the results and analysis, the new users in both telecom and non-telecom feels that GUI way of approach is an easier process for generating the configurations of network functions rather than the command line process and network management tools. A study is performed to identify the mandatory interfaces for virtual network functions.
