No obscuro do ouro, o brilho do Cerrado: a dinâmica territorial do município de Crixás-Go / In the dark of gold, the brightness of the Cerrado: the dynamics of the territorial council Crixás-Go

No. of bitstreams: 1 dissertacao wagner a dias.pdf: 5244352 bytes, checksum: cfda71e52b618310397f987fb6d9b4be (MD5) Previous issue date: 2010-01-27 / The story goes Crixás the first gold mines in Pennsylvania in the early formation of the territorial city limits the conflict between pioneers and Indians, which allows an analysis of the process of territorialization and deterritorialization, whose essence is structured in the effort of understanding the actors social in that locality. Thus, it is clear that the territory of Crixás was established by a ratio of narrow economic interests. Therefore, we note the existence of a territory whose order is expressed by the conceptual idea of the field, organization and management of a particular area, as a warning Manuel Correa de Andrade. Although the state of Goias express a patchwork territorial economic structure had been asserting themselves through the first camp, which since then developed gradually distinct economic profiles from mining. Subsequently embraced by livestock and agriculture, before emptying into the agribusiness, which manages all profiles promoting economic restructuring in the productive sector. In Crixás, mining and livestock are kept as economic activities, but their productivity is enhanced by new relations of production imposed by the progressive industrialization. From this perspective, we can make an analogy between their economic structures from the Cerrado biome that protects "yellow natural" contradictory. The "yellow gold" and "yellow pequi." Both yellow with economic and cultural values. However, the gold no longer has the "brightness of human emancipation." The process of industrialization exerted by the mining Sierra Grande enters its production in the global market. Thus, the "brightness" of gold is reflected in Europe, Japan and other countries, with shares traded on the Johannesburg, New York, Australia and Ghana. Already pequi loses plenty to pasture. Even with the growth of livestock in Crixás party happens this fruit, whose purpose is to demonstrate the richness of the Cerrado and its importance to the culture of his people. To this end, the municipality of Crixás has sustained its economic structure by contradictions and conflicts over land. The circumstances of the research methodology require the primacy of the agrarian and regional studies, making comparative analysis of historical and contemporary. In support of this research, we will adopt a theoretical framework based on dialectical and historical materialism, aiming to address the aggregation of local dynamics in the city of Crixás-Go to mediate our understanding of its role in the economic context Goias. O amarelo do ouro e o amarelo do pequi .

Analýza ekonomické struktury ve vybraných regionech / Analysis of economic structure in selected regions

Jirman, Martin January 2018 (has links)
The thesis deals with the analysis of Nachod and Tachov regions' economic structure. The aim of this work is to discover the range and character of differences between these regional economic structures within a national innovation system. Regions showing approximately similar vertical geographic position were chosen for the analysis deliberately, however they differ in various actualities, such as, for instance, their position in terms of west-east gradient, or more precisely horizontal geographic position. Based on the analysis of the relationship between the suppliers and consumers, manufacturing programmes, and not least ownership structures, the basic typology of the economic subjects from the manufacturing industry was executed. The results of this analysis point out significant dependence of the Tachov region on the activities of foreign investors and underdeveloped entrepreneurial environment. Nachod region reports, in the interregional comparison, better results in assessing the economic structure and features clearly more endogenous regional development than Tachov region. Key words: global production network, regional innovation system, manufacturing industry, economic structure

Estrutura econômica e distribuição interpessoal de renda no nordeste

No. of bitstreams: 1 arquivototal.pdf: 822142 bytes, checksum: 70627e6205ffe1543bf344518400aca3 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2012-06-28 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Despite the inequality in income distribution of the Brazilian population come down over time, Brazil also has one of the worst income distributions in the world, especially when taking into account other countries with similar levels of development. In this context, is the Northeast, which has the highest income inequality and where the concentration of income has been falling more slowly compared to the rest of Brazil. An improvement exacerbated indicators such as poverty and income distribution may be related to economic structure, so that not all sections of the population to benefit from the fruits produced by an increase in income or economic growth. That is, trade flows, the sectoral structure of employment and production, the technology standard, the structure of consumption, and others may influence the effects caused by changes in the economy on indicators such as inequality. Accordingly, this study aims to assess how the economic structure of the Northeast region influences the effects of changes in the local economy on inequality, using the model of Leontief-Miyazawa. For this, were used information contained in the input-output matrix of the Northeast for the year 2004, the primary data of the Survey by Household Sampling - PNAD 2004, addition to the data from the Household Budget Survey - POF, using the structure of POF 2002/2003. Through simulations of impacts in each sector of economic activity was obtained the distribution of income provided for that impact and, consequently, the sectors responsible for the increase or reduction of inequality. Through the results it was found that only nine sectors improved the Gini index and the sectors with the greatest weight in the consumption of the poorest families contributed to a greater concentration of income after the impact. Moreover, was made an analysis of the effects of changes in production structure in the Northeast between 1997 and 2004 about the income distribution. For this, we used data from the input-output matrix of the Northeast in 1997 and household income data obtained by PNAD, referring to the same year. The results indicate that the lower income classes generate more income in the economy as a whole and absorb less. Finally, it was observed that changes in the productive structure occurred between 1997 and 2004 helped to improve the income distribution in the Northeast.

A Critical race feminist perspective on Section 217 of the Constitution

Nyawo, Pamela January 2013 (has links)
Section 217 of the Constitution of South Africa regulates the procurement of goods and or services by any organ of state. Similarly, this section mandates state-owned institutions to adhere to a procurement system that promotes groups that were previously disadvantaged by past colonial and apartheid regimes. In this dissertation I argue that due to South Africa’s oppressive culture, the law has been ineffective in promoting the socio economic interests of black women due to race, gender and class subjugation. Firstly, central to my argument is the judiciary’s traditional role that is still steeped in an interpretative process of the law that is detrimental to the transformative spirit of the Constitution. In identifying the South African judiciary system as positivistic in nature I will critically analyse the Sonke Gender Justice Network v Malema hate speech court case. I posit that the Equality Court’s decision was mainly result based and as a result fell short of addressing the core issues affecting black women on the basis of race, gender and class which mirror the substantial part of the South African socio economic structure. Secondly, in support of my argument, I criticise a legislative framework that perpetuates socio economic disparities at the expense of a group in society it claims to protect. Whilst I will rely on American Legal Realism and Critical Legal Studies in support of my arguments, my main theoretical approach will be based on Critical Race Feminism. Lastly, intersectionality will be used in contextualising the interrelationships of race, gender and class as they impact on black women’s material circumstances in the regulatory legislative public procurement process. When the Constitution came into effect in 1994 South Africa became an egalitarian state. Nevertheless, the country is struggling with the prevalence of unemployment, poverty, HIV/Aids, skills shortages, male violence including rape, to name just a few. These social ills pose a threat to a Constitution that extolls values like dignity, freedom and equality for all. It so happens also that the majority of the people confronted by these socio economic challenges are black women. The tender process faces numerous challenges and by identifying the South African culture as oppressive supported by a legal process that stifles transformation, this study expounds the experiences of black women by engaging in a contextual analysis of the courts and legislation. This consciousness raising exercise is not meant to portray black women as victims or invoking “special treatment” in the legal realm. It resonates with Steve Biko’s theme of black consciousness, being aware of the marginalisation and addressing it. Black consciousness represents an emancipatory state and optimistic outlook. Consciousness raising situates the oppression of black women in any form as a site for struggle, a struggle for social and individual change. / Dissertation (LLM)--University of Pretoria, 2013. / gm2014 / Jurisprudence / unrestricted

Santos, João Pereira dos January 2017 (has links)
This thesis presents an Institutionalist and Post-Keynesian analysis of the Economic History of Amazonia from 1615 to the end of development policies in the 1980s.
