Análise da leitura dos alunos de graduação- do Curso de Psicologia da Universidadee de São Paulo. O aluno/leitor constitui o objeto central da análise que tem como pano de fundo diversos contextos sociais e culturais dos quais participa. A leitura é abordada de forma abrangente, buscando-se, basicamente, as variáveis interrelaciona das em três momentos que se mostram significativos na vida do estudante universitário enquanto leitor: a leitura na sua prática acadêmica, a leitura no lazer e, por fim, os possíveis reflexos de tais experiências no uso da biblioteca do Instituto de Psicologia. A pesquisa abrange a população total de estudantes que freqüentaram aquele curso no segundo semestre de 1984. Utiliza como instrumento de coleta de dados questionário semi-estrututado, pré-codificado e apresenta análise descritiva dos dados, com base nas distribuições de freqüencia das variáveis consideradas, utilizando o pacotte estatístico BMOP. Aponta, entre outras, as seguintes características para a população analisada: a) tempo disponível para estudo e leitura individual de 11 horas semanais; b) comportamento, em relação à bibliografia recomendada para os cursos, dependente de algumas variáveis; c) leitura mais freqüente de material bibliográfico complementar a partir do 3º ano do curso; d) preferência, no lazer, pela leitura da prosa de ficção, de revistas noticiosas e de divulgação científica; e) prática freqüente da leitura no núcleo familiar em estreita relação com outras variáveis, entre outras, o nível de escolaridade dos pais; f) freqüencia de mais de uma vez por semana à biblioteca da instituição com demanda concentrada em material bibliográfico para os cursos, especialmente em português; g) utilização crescente da biblioteca da instituição à medida que avançam nas etapas do curso; h) atribuição de bom nível para o atendimento oferecido pe Ia biblioteca da instituição. O estudo procura ainda identificar o perfil do estudante de Psicologia e suas expectativas de atuação profissional e desenvolvimento cultural. A análise das diversas variáveis permite constatar que o es tudante focalizado na pesquisa mostra-se bastante influenciado por fatores psícossociais que determinam a maior ou menor presença da leitura nos vários contextos de que participam, suas preferências no lazer e o uso que faz de bibliotecas. / An analysis of Reading among undergraduate students of Psychology at the University of são Paulo. The student/reader constitutes the central object of the analysis which has at its base several social and cultural aspects the student has experienced during his 1ifetime. Reading is approached taking into consideration, basically, the varied interrelationship in three different moments which shows significantly in the life of the university student as a reader: academicreading, leisure reading and, finally, possible reflexes of these experiences in the use of the 1ibrary of the Institute of Psychology as well as other libraries. The research covers the total student population attending that course in the second semester of 1984 and uses a semistructured, pre-coded questionnaire as a data collecting means including a descriptive analysis of this same data based on the distribution of frequency of the variables taking into consideration applying statistical package BMDP. The fol1owing main characteristics surface as pertinent to this student population: a) e1even weekly hours dedicated to individual study and reading; b) attitude in relation to the courses recommended bibliography depending on some variables; c) more frequent reading of complementing bibliographical material from third grade onwards; d) preference, as far as leisure reading is concerned, for fiction, news and scientific pub1ications; e) frequent practi-ce of reading at home strictly related to others variables, such as parent\'s level of education; f) more than once a week attendance to the institution\'s library with great demand of bibliographical material related to the various courses, particularly in the portuguese language; g) crescent use of the institution\'s library as they advance in their courses; h) good appreciation given by the students referring\' to the services rendered by the institution\'s library. This study also tries to identify the psychology student\'s profile and their expectations as to professional life and cultural development.Analysis of the variables allows to state that the student in view is very much influenced by psyco-social factors that determine their greater or lesser use of reding in their various activities, their leisure reading preferences and the use they make of libraries in general.

A escolha do campo de estudo deveu-se ao conhecimento do hospital enquanto área de trabalho, assim como pelo fato deste ser um dos três únicos locais no SUS que servem de prática para o Curso de Psicologia da UFPA, onde se propicia aos alunos terem contato com a prática clínica e institucional, aplicando referenciais teórico-metodológicos de Psicanálise, análise institucional, processos grupais e de comunicação e conhecimentos de Saúde Pública. Utilizando-se da abordagem qualitativa, os procedimentos de coleta de dados foram a entrevista semi-estruturada, os questionários e a observação participante. Entre os aspectos relevantes o estudo observou: a fragmentação constante do trabalho dos diversos profissionais envolvidos e a busca do psicólogo por um espaço mais consolidado e articulado de atuação na equipe de saúde; a falta de conhecimentos prévios de saúde coletiva por parte dos discentes motivando um esforço concentrado dos supervisores e orientadores de campo na relação ensino-serviço; o sucateamento das instalações físicas e dos equipamentos do hospital gerando dificuldades, mas, simultaneamente, estimulando uma subjetividade expressa na colaboração entre funcionários e alunos; o esforço do Serviço de Psicologia em reconduzir o trabalho centrado no ato médico e no corpo enfermo para uma atenção marcada pela relação com o paciente como sujeito e para os distintos modos de subjetivação psicopatológicos que constituem o problema teórico-metodológico colocado para sua eficácia psicoterápica; e, por fim, sua inserção nas equipes multiprofissionais. A trama formada pelo conjunto desses protagonismos configura o desafio do psicólogo, junto com os demais profissionais, para compreender e levar a cabo a integralidade da atenção, em exercício permanentede construção no hospital. Dois teóricos destacam-se na argumentação que problematiza a atenção integral no hospital - Canguilhem, para a discussão do conceito de saúde enquanto possibilidade de viver em conformidade com o meio e Winnicott, na perspectiva clínica possível nesse ambiente. / This work consists of studying the clinical and institutional practice in the psychologist’s formation under the perspective of the totality in health in the João de Barros Barreto Academical Hospital - HUJBB. The choice of the study field was due to the knowledge of the hospital while work area, as well as for the fact of this to be one of the three only places in Unique Wealth System SUS that serve as practice for the Course of Psychology of UFPA, where it is propitiated the students to have contact with the clinical and institutional practice, applying theoretical-methodological backgrounds of Psychoanalysis, institutional analysis, processes group and of communication and knowledge of Public Health. Being used of the qualitative approach, the procedures of collection of data were the semi-structured interview, the questionnaires and the participant observation. Among the important aspects in the study was observed: the constant fragmentation of the several involved professionals’ work and the psychologist’s search for a space more consolidated and articulate of performance in the team of health; the lack of previous knowledge of collective health on the part of the students motivating a concentrated effort of the supervisors and field advisors in the relationship teaching-service; the failed of the physical facilities and of the equipments of the hospital generating difficulties, but, simultaneously, stimulating an expressed subjectivity in the collaboration between employees and students; the effort of the Service of Psychology in drill the work centered in the medical act and in the sick body for an attention marked by the relationship with the patient as subject and for the different manners of psychopathologic subjectivization that constitute the theoretical-methodological problem placed for your psychotherapic effectiveness; and, finally, its insert in the teams multiprofessionals. The plot formed by the group of those protagonisms it configures the psychologist’s challenge, with the other professionals, to understand and to carry out the wholeness of the attention, in permanent exercise of construction in the hospital. Two theoretical stand out in the argument that problematizes the integral attention in the hospital - Canguilhem, for the discussion of the concept of health while possibility to live in conformity with the middle and Winnicott, in the possible clinical perspective in that adapts.
