This diploma thesis describes and analyzes the ethical dimension of content marketing practice on social networks. The rapid pace of technological progress, shaping the birth of participatory Web 2.0 and social networks, has led to an ever-increasing gap between the everyday online experience and the discourse of applied ethics. Three main goals of this thesis are met. First, current academical knowledge (and its limits) in the field of marketing and information ethics is described. Secondly, with the help of Luciano Floridi's Information Ethics, a unified ethical framework for assessing specific moral dilemmas on social networks is constructed. Lastly, this framework is verified in an extensive Reddit case study, where each of the six pillars of the constructed ethical framework (which affects fundamental parameters and manifestations indicating unethical activity) are tested on manifestations of unacknowledged marketing activity. At the same time, the existence and emergence of the so-called ethical vacuum are illustrated, indicating that there is a need to update the theoretical approaches of applied ethics for the specifics of social networks and the infosphere in general.

The dissertation deals with the controversy between two contemporary Western philosophical interpretations of early Confucian ethics: Confucian virtue ethics and Confucian role ethics. The dissertation not only discusses the different presentations of what constitutes the core characteristics of early Confucian ethics, but also critically reconstructs and analysis the changing Western reception of early Confucian ethics. The two interpretations are compared in order to critically assess the ongoing controversy and to evaluate the prospects of the newly suggested alternative reading of early Confucian ethics as Confucian role ethics. This dissertation aims at demonstrating that Confucian role ethics interpretation places the relational concept of the human as the totality of one’s lived roles and relations at the centre of its explication of early Confucian ethics, and thus tackles both major pitfalls that weaken the now dominant Confucian virtue ethics interpretation: the incommensurability challenge and the marginalization of relational aspect in early Confucian thought. Confucian role ethics interpretation merits further research and development in order to fully reveal its implications; that is, the importance (and the limitations) of relationality as well as the familial and communal roles not only for early Confucianism, but also for contemporary Western philosophical discussions on the scope and nature of ethics and the notion of the human being. / Disertacijos tyrimo objektas – dabartinis nesutarimas tarp dviejų filosofinių ankstyvosios konfucinės etikos interpretacijų Vakaruose: konfucinės dorybių etikos ir konfucinės vaidmenų etikos. Disertacijoje tiriami skirtingi aiškinimai kas laikytina ankstyvosios konfucinės etikos svarbiausiais bruožais. Tuo pačiu, disertacijoje rekonstruojama bei kritiškai analizuojama kintanti vakarietiškoji ankstyvojo konfucianizmo recepcija. Disertacijoje įrodinėjama, jog alternatyvi konfucinė vaidmenų etikos interpretacija ankstyvojo konfucianizmo etinių idėjų ašimi laikydama reliacinę žmogaus sampratą, žmogų aiškinančią kaip jo gyvenamų sąryšių ir vaidmenų visumą, sprendžia abi pagrindines nūdienoje dominuojančią konfucinę dorybių etikos interpretaciją silpninančias problemas: nebendramatiškumo iššūkį bei sąryšingumo svarbos ankstyvajame konfucianizme marginalizavimą. Todėl konfucinė vaidmenų etikos interpretacija turi būti plėtojama toliau, siekiant pilnai atskleisti ir suvokti sąryšingumo ir šeiminių bei bendruomeninių vaidmenų svarbą (bei jų ribas) ne tik ankstyvajai konfucinei etikai, bet ir šiuolaikinių Vakarų diskusijoms apie etikos sritį ar filosofinę žmogaus sampratą.

This diploma work considering Business ethics and social responsibility of companies discusses a contemporary topic. The work is separated into several parts. The applied part of the work is based on literary research of selected literature, and deals with business ethics and responsibility of companies that deal with bus traffic and truck transport in actual business practice. The applied part was done by comparing four selected criteria that are linked to corporate responsibility of companies. All of the presented subjects have been dealing with helping people and groups of people for at least ten years, especially to those who need help due to health disorders at being included in normal, everyday life like healthy people, participate in all kinds of sports, culture and social activities. The presented companies and other subjects have been showing for many years how important their help is. The final part of the work contains twenty-five recommendations aimed at expansion of social responsibility of companies.

The diploma thesis discusses the issues of ethics and codes of ethics in business. The theoretical part defines basic concepts of ethics, presents its historical development and the methods and tools of business ethics. It also focuses on ethical codes and the area of law and ethics. The practical part consists of a quantitative survey, which provides views of selected business entities of business ethics and the use of codes of ethics in practice.

The Diploma Thesis "Ethical aspects of work as a long-term human commitment" deals with the question under what condition the work assigned as the external obligation can be understood as the personal responsibility. The Thesis deals with the dilemma between commitment and responsibility, the purpose of work as a commitment from the Christian and philosophical point of view. It describes and analyzes the variety of meaning and forms by which a person's work can be personaly commited, further defines the criteria for such binding, including Christian and philosophical bases. The Thesis connects the general socio- ethical argumentation with the reflection of the author's practical experience from the metallurgical industry in the Ostrava region. On concrete examples, it shows the current ethical issues associated with understanding the assigned work as a personally responsible commitment and proposes solutions to them in accordance with Christian principles. The purpose of this Master degree thesis is to introduce reader the professional ethics issues of judges in the Czech Republic. The thesis is composed of four chapters. The inner system of thesis was designed in a way that guarantees that level of abstraction falls as the thesis progress continues. In chapter one, there are explained the most abstract terms connected with professional ethics in general as a morality, ethics and law. There is also recognizable attempt to find relationship between mentioned terms. Second chapter, as a whole, is devoted to idea of profession and professional ethics. Text is focused on possible modification of relationship between ethics and professional ethics and it also refers about differences between profession and occupation. Last but not least there are as examples of professional ethics mentioned two "non-judges" professional ethics. In chapter three is described a fact the most regulation of judges conduct in Czech Republic is set down in positive law mainly. In addition of that, in chapter three there is mentioned attempt of judges self regulation in issues of professional ethics, which was realized by independent Czech judge's organization Judges Union of Czech Republic. In spite of the undisputable significance of ethics in virtually all fields of human behavior, the lack of ethics in business is painfully obvious with respect to the current financial crisis. The dissertation focuses on the theoretical analysis of the complications inherent to any attempt of defining ethics and ethical behavior, as well as the analysis of the intricate connection between theory and practice. The analysis of Islamic ethics and the financial crisis draws on the preceding theoretical background and sheds some light on the problems related to tack of ethics in business and the indispensable necessity of substantially augmenting the relevance of ethics not only in business, but in all the fields interconnected with the subject matter of ethics, which requires resolving the aforementioned intricacy that characterizes the link between theory and practice.
