Didelis skyrybų skaičius Lietuvoje ir pasaulyje rodo, kad jauni žmonės dažnai kuria šeimas, nebūdami tam tinkamai pasiruošę. Šeima yra pirmoji ir pagrindinė žmogaus ugdymo (-si) vieta. Tolimasis mergaičių rengimas šeimai yra pats pirmasis mergaitės ugdymo šeimai, etapas. Jis vyksta tėvų šeimoje tiek tiesiogiai, tiek netiesiogiai ir deda pagrindus tolimesniam mergaitės- būsimos žmonos ir motinos ugdymui. Lytiškumo, moteriškumo ir motiniškumo ugdymas yra esminiai mergaitės ugdymo šeimai elementai. Tačiau dėl pastaraisiais dešimtmečiais vykstančių didžiulių pokyčių visuomenės ir šeimos gyvenime, besitęsiančios sekuliarizacijos, kuri įtakoja šeimos vertybių, pačios, šeimos sampratos ir jos reikšmės kiekvieno žmogaus gyvenime devalvaciją, tolimasis rengimas šeimai dažnai nebeatlieka savo funkcijų ir jam keliamų uždavinių. / A high rate of divorce in Lithuania and the world shows that young people often create families when they are not properly prepared to. Family is the first and the main place of human (self)-education. Remote preparation of girls for family is the very first stage of girl‘s education for family. It takes place in parents‘ family both directly and indirectly and forms the basis for further education of girls, wives- and mothers-to-be. Education of sexuality, femininity and motherliness are fundamental elements of girl‘s education for family. However, due to enormous changes in life of society and family in the recent decades, and due to ongoing secularization that influences depreciation of family value and the concept of family itself and its meaning in the life of every human, remote preparation for family does not fulfil its functions and objectives.
