It is to delineate the correlations of the course Mude-TO with the ideal of teachers of the World Bank formation, in the decade of 1990. The research is characterized as case study in a historical perspective, for privileging data that raise the report of the course Mude-TO. We had as instruments of collection of information interviews semi-structured with former-coordinators of the course and, documental analysis, subdivided in the student-masters' thematic compositions and institutional documents, as class diaries. We apprehended that the abbreviated formation, in service, and at distance, guided by World Bank is expressed in the structure of the course Mude-TO. Another approach with World Bank is the pedagogic format of that course, with emphasis to techniques of teaching. The outlines of the course Mude-TO reveals the reproduction in the micro scope of the international orientations for the teachers' formation. / Este trabalho situa-se na linha de pesquisa Formação e profissionalização docente e aborda o curso Municípios Unidos para o Desenvolvimento da Educação no Tocantins (Mude-TO). Busca-se delinear as correlações do curso Mude-TO com o modelo de formação de professores do Banco Mundial (BM), na década de 1990. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como estudo de caso em uma perspectiva histórica, por privilegiar dados que remontam o histórico do curso Mude-TO. Utiliza como instrumentos de coleta de informações entrevistas semi-estruturadas com excoordenadoras do curso e, análise documental, subdividida em redações temáticas das alunas-mestres e documentos institucionais, como diários de classe. Apreendemos que a formação aligeirada, em serviço, e a distância, orientada pelo BM se expressa na estrutura do curso Mude-TO. Outra aproximação com o BM é o formato pedagógico desse curso, com ênfase a técnicas de ensinar. Os contornos do curso Mude-TO revelam a reprodução em âmbito micro das orientações internacionais para a formação de professores.
