41	Learning the Fundamental Democratic Values in Preschool : A Case Study of the Implementation of the National Educational Policy in Sweden Sato Linder, Ryoko January 2017 (has links) Under the 1990s restructuring of the Swedish education system, ‘the fundamentaldemocratic values’ have stipulated clearly both in the Education Act and all of thenational curricula as one of the educational goals. This study aims to illuminate how thefundamental democratic values in the Swedish curriculum for preschool are implemented,its process and outcome on a micro level, a preschool. The role of the preschools inSweden has been changed especially after the new curriculum has been issued in 1998, and now, “to impart and establish respect for human rights and the fundamentaldemocratic values” is an important task of the preschools and expected to “activelypromote” in its work with children. Through a qualitative case study focused on apreschool in Forest municipality, Stockholm, the findings show the principal and thepedagogue in the chosen preschool are conscious of the importance of the fundamentaldemocratic values within the individual perspectives. This study also illustrates that thepedagogue have developed their understanding for the fundamental values continuously,through the several types of meetings, and have applied it to their daily activities.Furthermore, the findings also show that the pedagogue in the chosen preschool haveutilised ‘the five value keywords’ those were selected in the school district where thepreschool belonged. As a whole the research on the chosen preschool indicates theimportance of role of pedagogue at preschool for implementation of the nationaleducation policy. On the other hand, this study has clarified that Forest municipality hashad important role for the implementation process and evaluation of preschools in themunicipality. This fact indicates that how municipalities take initiatives affects successfulimplementation of the curriculum. 42	Ett dubbelsidigt mynt – IKEA:s identitet internt och externt : en ideationell studie om IKEA:s betydelseskapande / A double-sided coin – IKEA’s identity internally and externally : an ideational study of IKEA’s construction of value Vågerö, Emma January 2019 (has links) This study aims to examine how meaning and value is created in IKEA’s internal and external means of communication. I want to see if the values expressed in the internal and external communication tangent. I will additionally inspect how IKEA present themselves depending on whether the recipients are internal coworkers or external customers. The last thing to be inspected is the internal and external “ideal reader”, which is translated from the Swedish term “modelläsare” (Björkvall 2003). Furthermore, the objective of the study is to contribute to the field of linguistic research. This is done by exposing how values are used to shape different versions of the identity of organizations internally and externally. The internal documents consist of a vision and a “värdegrund”, in English called “fundamental values”, and the external communication entails three images from the advertising campaign “Where life happens”. I analyzed the material through the ideational metafunction belonging to the theory of systemic functional grammar and through a sociosemiotic multimodal analysis. The result reveals that nearly all of the expressed values occur both internally and externally. An example of prominent values is togetherness, inclusiveness and openness. However, the way in which IKEA present themselves towards internal and external target audiences varies markedly, as does the constructed ideal reader. The internal ideational representation of IKEA marks the coworker as part of the organization. At the same time multiple demands describing how the coworker should act and think greatly constricts and controls the internal audience. The external recipients, however, are free to be of a varying kind. IKEA expresses how the external target audience includes everyone. As a result, there are no expectations of who the external ideal reader should be, with one exception. The internal and external ideal readers are both part of a community, as contrasting to being portrayed as solitary. Berggren, Madeleine January 2020 (has links) Mitt syfte med undersökningen är att genomföra en kvalitativ textanalys av Sofia Nordins trilogi för att undersöka dess lämplighet att undervisa om värdegrundsfrågor i årskurs 4–6. Skolinspektionens granskning (2012) finner brister i att integrera värdegrundsuppdraget i ämnet svenska. Bland annat beror det på brister i förståelsen hos lärare kring vilka skönlitterära texter som kan användas och vad i texterna som kan ge möjlighet till undervisning. Undersökningen syftar därför till att finna lämplig text vilket genom arbetet visat sig vara dystopi. Undersökningens kvalitativa textanalys svarar mot frågeställningarna om mörker, demokrati, solidaritet och mänskliga rättigheter för att undersöka möjligheten till undervisning om värdegrunden. Analysens resultat finner goda möjligheter för trilogin att användas som ingång för värdegrundsarbete i årskurs 4–6. / The aim of this paper is to make a qualitative text analysis of the trilogy by Sofia Nordin based on its possibility to teach about the fundamental values in school for grade 4-6. The Swedish School inspectorate shows in an examination (2012) that the Swedish primary school are shortcoming in the mission to teach about the fundamental values in the subject swedish. Some causes they mention are the teachers lack of understanding what sort of literature they should use, and what in the literature to use. This study is therefore aiming to find a suitable text which by the work turned out to be a dystopia. By qualitative text analysis the question at issues examines to answer the aim of this paper. They are the darkness, democracy, human rights and solidarity.
