Efeitos de um programa de ensino de futsal, baseado em uma perspectiva tática do jogo, sobre o desempenho tático / Effects of a futsal unit based on a tactical approach on tactical performance

Novaes, Rafael Batista 18 February 2013 (has links)
The objective of the current research was to investigate the impacts of a futsal unit, based on a tactical approach, on tactical performance. Under this approach, tactic is considered the center of teaching-learning process, and the main activities are tactical exercises. Pupils are stimulated to take part in the decisions and reflect on their actions related to problems that emerge from the game. The adepts of this approach defend that, thereby, pupils would become more intelligent and creative players. In order to support the unit design, a model of the futsal game was created. The representation was made throughout discussions among experienced coaches. A systemic approach was used in order to overcome a technical perspective, in which the action in a game is seen as a mere juxtaposition of technical gestures, and emphasize the importance of decision-making. After the creation of the model and pupils assessment, the unit was designed. Eight 7 to 8 year-old pupils, members of an extra-curricular activity in a private school, took part in the research. The unit was composed by 16 lessons (2 lessons a week) of one hour each. Results demonstrated that tactical performance has improved significantly after 16 lessons. In despite of the reduced number of participants, these evidences contribute to the progress of the teaching-learning process of futsal, as well as to fortify the model of the game created

How to help players navigate anxiety using metaphorical game as a tool

Wu, Yifan January 2022 (has links)
Anxiety has become one of the common problems in society in recent years. As an emerging interactive medium, games can create a first-hand experience for players. Therefore, it is possible to guide the player through behavioral experiments implemented with the game. But in order to reduce the direct damage to the player and make the problem more obvious, metaphorical game is one of the good choices.   In order to design and make such a metaphorical game, I firstly need to collect anxiety triggers and game design related theories into an initial design framework. These theories mainly include metaphorical game, experiential game model and reflection game design. After two iterations of game design core development, I'll be doing demos and interviews with several players. After that, I will summarize these data into several themes. These themes will extend the original design framework, which will also serve as an outcome of this paper. The two most prominent points in the expansion are beat chart and reward.

AGORAS: Augmented Generation of Reactive Ambients on Surfaces. Towards educational places for action, discussion and reflection to support creative learning on interactive surfaces

Catalá Bolós, Alejandro 19 July 2012 (has links)
Catalá Bolós, A. Model dvouúrovňových her se zaměřením na vliv domácích institucí a preferencí domácích aktérů na příkladu SALT I / Two-level Games: Influence of Domestic Institutions and Preferences of Domestic Actors on the Example of SALT I.

Ježek, Jiří January 2017 (has links)
Concept of Two-level games is one of the most sophisticated approach for analysis of the process of international bargaining. Moreover, many research papers focused either on prediction of the outcome of international negotiations or on explanation of the outcomes of former negotiations are based on premises of this concept. However, its application on real example of the negotiation, specifically, on the SALT I talks between the Soviet Union and the United States shows that the Two-level games is not universally valid since many of its predictions have not been verified. There are certain limitations within crucial independent variables (defined by the concept) connected with domestic institutions and domestic preferences and their influence on the size of win-set which has direct impact on the results of the bargaining process. These limitations must be considered in the research. The analysis of the SALT I explores that heterogeneous preferences as well as relatively strong domestic institutions do not have to result in smaller win-set; that presence of no-agreement costs can reduce an influence of other variables, and; that presence of those non-expected (from the view of the original concept) consequences caused by the adjustment of the independent variables occurs within the negotiations...

Using Reinforcement Learning to Evaluate Player Pair Performance in Ice Hockey

Ljung, Dennis January 2021 (has links)
A recent study using reinforcement learning with a Q-functions to quantify the impact of individual player actions in ice hockey has shown promising results. The model takes into account the context of the actions and captures internal dynamic features of the play which simple common metrics e.g., counting goals or assists, do not. It also performs look ahead which is important in a low scoring game like ice hockey. However, it does not capture the chemistry between the players i.e., how well the players play together which is important in a team sport like ice hockey. In this paper, we, therefore, extend this earlier work on individual player performance with new metrics on player pairs impact when on ice together. Our resulting top pairings are compared to NHL’s official statistics and extended analysis is performed that investigate the relationship with time on ice which provides insights that could be of relevance to coaches.
