We offer a comparison of this approach to other standards such as SNMP, FTP, and RTSP, describing the pros and cons of each as well as how these standards can be used together for certain applications.

Not long ago streaming video over the Internet included only short clips of low quality video. Now the possibilities seem endless as professional productions are made available in high definition. This explosion of growth is the result of several factors, such as increasing network performance, advancements in video encoding technology, improvements to video streaming techniques, and a growing number of devices capable of handling video. However, despite the improvements to Internet video streaming this paradigm is still evolving. HTTP adaptive streaming involves encoding a video at multiple quality levels then dividing those quality levels into small chunks. The player can then determine which quality level to retrieve the next chunk from in order to optimize video playback when considering the underlying network conditions. This thesis first presents an experimental framework that allows for adaptive streaming players to be analyzed and evaluated. Evaluation is beneficial because there are several concerns with the adaptive video streaming ecosystem such as achieving a high video playback quality while also ensuring stable playback quality. The primary contribution of this thesis is the evaluation of prefetching by a proxy server as a means to improve streaming performance. This work considers an implementation of a proxy server that is functional with the extremely popular Netflix streaming service, and it is evaluated using two Netflix players. The results show its potential to improve video streaming performance in several scenarios. It effectively increases the buffer capacity of the player as chunks can be prefetched in advance of the player's request then stored on the proxy to be quickly delivered once requested. This allows for degradation in network conditions to be hidden from the player while the proxy serves prefetched data, preventing a reduction to the video quality as a result of an overreaction by the player. Further, the proxy can reduce the impact of the bottleneck in the network, achieving higher throughput by utilizing parallel connections to the server.

Ett vårdsystem inom IT är ett mycket stort och komplext system som innehållermoduler med olika funktioner som behandlar vårddata för t.ex. journalföring,läkemedelshantering, remisser, ekonomisystem, planeringsstöd för olikaverksamhetsgrenar. Journalsystemet är en av de viktigaste komponenterna förlandstinget inom vårdsystemet, och information i patientjournalen ger ettgrundläggande underlag för bra vård. Det finns sex olika större journalsystem iSverige och Sveriges landsting har idag möjligheten att fritt välja vilketjournalsystem de vill använda för att bedriva sin dagliga verksamhet.Cambio Healthcare Systems är ett e-hälsoföretag som levererar bland annatvårdsystemet Cambio COSMIC. Eftersom olika vårdsystem är helt oberoende avvarandra uppstår problem när vårdinformation ska hanteras mellan olikavårdsystem. För att hämta vårdinformation för patienter från andra vårdsystemanvänds en extern nationell tjänst, NPÖ (Nationell patientöversikt). NPÖ samlarinformation från olika vårdsystem hos landsting, kommuner och privatavårdgivare. På uppdrag av Cambio utvecklades prototypen OmegaX som skaeliminera uthoppen till den externa NPÖ klienten och ska även integreras ivårdsystemet COSMIC. Syftet med prototypen är att visa att vårdinformationfrån andra vårdsystem kan användas direkt in i COSMIC. Prototypen är enwebbapplikation som är utvecklad i HTML5 tillsammans med flera andrawebbtjänster och ramverk som AngularJS, JavaFX, Java, Apache Tomcat ochMaven.Rapporten beskriver de olika utvecklingsverktyg och komponenter som haranvänts för att ta fram prototypen OmegaX. Rapporten innehåller även enbeskrivning av designen och hur de olika modulerna i applikationen fungerar.Dessutom utreds säkerhetsfrågor kring applikationen.En väl fungerade prototyp har tagits fram som körs i applikationen COSMIC.Prototypen befinner sig i sitt tidiga utvecklingsstadium då flera moduler körs ien simulerad miljö. Det krävs fortfarande en del utredning och vidareutvecklingsamt testning innan prototypen kan sättas i produktion.

För en webbtjänst så är det viktigt med tillgänglighet. Detta innebär att det är värdefullt att veta när störningar förekommer. Med hjälp av övervakning utav webbtjänster så kan man få just detta, ökad tillgänglighet.Ping-Win är en övervakningstjänst utvecklad åt konsultbolaget Knowit. Arbetet som Knowit gör är fokuserat på att leverera webbtjänster åt sina kunder.Ping-Win utvecklades i åndamålen att användas för att övervaka de tjänster de tillhandahåller.Vi arbetade agilt, med totalt fem sprintar, för att kunna justera projektets riktning och på så vis möta Knowits förväntningar på Ping-Win.Resultatet blev en webbtjänst som kompletteras av en bakgrundstjänst för kontinuerlig övervakning samt en databas för sparande av statusmeddelanden.Ping-Win utvärderades med ett test där vi övervakade fyra hemsidor under mellandagarna 2017. / Availability is important for a web service. It is therefore valuable to know when interferences occurs. With the help of monitoring of web services, one can acheive increased availability.Ping-Win is a monitoring service developed for the consultancy Knowit. Knowit is focusing on delivering web services for their clients. Ping-Win was developed with the purpose to monitor the services that Knowit are providing.The work was practised with an agile method, with five sprints in total, to be able to adjust the direction of the project  to fit the expectations that Knowit had on Ping-Win.The result was a web service with a complementing background service for continuous monitoring and also a database which was used to store the status messages.Ping-Win  was evaluated with a test were we let it monitor four websites during the Christmas holidays of 2017.

A user using a Web application generates HTTP traffic which can be captured and logged to be used for further analysis such as finding potential security holes. This document provides a method to reconstruct user-interactions from HTTP network traffic with a specific focus on RIAs. The only input provided is the full, unaltered HTTP network traffic of the original user-session. This thesis presents a system to replay HTTP trace for reconstructing the user-interactions using a programmable Web browser that is used to simulate user's actions and to execute client-side scripts. The experimental results show that the proposed solution in this thesis leads to a system which has a good performance in reconstructing user-interactions. The system performs an automated reconstruction of the user-interactions which reconstructs every DOM state that has been visited by the user during the user-session and the actions taken by the user, including user-inputs provided by the user.

La metodología Lean Service (LS) es utilizada en organizaciones de hoy en día, ya que busca incrementar el éxito de su ventaja competitiva. En esta investigación se expone las diversas posturas, unas a favor y otras en contra, de distintos autores sobre las herramientas de LS como Warehouse Management, Value Stream Mapping, Lean Six Sigma y Just in Time, las cuales, durante el presente estudio, han sido las más relevantes para la mejora en la productividad de las empresas. Las posturas a favor de un grupo de autores acerca de las herramientas Lean es que son muy eficientes, debido a que eliminan los diferentes tipos de desperdicios en la cadena de producción; mientras que algunas posturas en contra afirman que existen otras herramientas, las cuales son mejores para la reducción y eliminación de desperdicios, tal es el caso de técnica Delphi, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, entre otras. Por otro lado, es importante mencionar que encontramos limitaciones en la búsqueda de información, puesto que encontramos algunos papers no gratuitos en cuartil 1, lo que limitó en seguir con la búsqueda de fuentes en dicho cuartil. / Lean Service (LS) methodology is known and used in today’s organizations, since they look to increase the success of their competitive advantage. In this research, different authors’ positions, some in favor and others against, are exposed about Lean Service and its tools, such as Warehouse Management, Value Stream Mapping, Lean Six Sigma and Just in Time, which during the present research have been the most relevant tools for improving the companies’ productivity. The positions in favor of a group of authors about the LS tools mentioned in the present research is that they are very efficient, due to they allow to reduce the different wastes in the production chain of organizations; while some positions against affirm that there are other Lean tools that are better for reducing waste, such is the case of Delphi technique, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, among others. On the other hand, it is important to highlight that we found limitations in the information search for the study topic, because, in principle, we found some non-free papers in quartile 1, which limited us to continue searching for sources in that quartile. / Trabajo de Suficiencia Profesional

The thesis deals with adding new parts to program for measuring data rates in mobile communications. New program parts are used for analyzing web pages and HTTP protocol, recieving position data from GPS reciever and for creating automated measuring sequences.

This Master´s thesis deals with the design and implementation of System for remote measuring and data storing in central databese. The system consists of server, which collects data and clients that send data to the server. On the server is installed program Apache in which runs utility script for collecting and evaluating data, written in PHP. Data are stored in MySQL relational database and can be clearly displayed. The client consists of microcontroller ATmega16, which evaluates data from sensors. These data are then transferred via Ethernet using the HTTP protocol through the module XPort.
