A partir das quais, obtemos limitantes superiores para somas de coe cientes de formas automór cas cuspidais. ________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / In this work we estabilish analytical and arithmetical proprieties of two auto- morphic L-functions for the modular group, those of Hecke-Maass and Rankin- Selberg. From these, we obtain upper bounds for sums of the coe cients of auto- morphic cusp forms.

The Hyperbolic Formal Affine Demazure Algebra

Leclerc, Marc-Antoine January 2016 (has links)
In this thesis, we extend the construction of the formal (affine) Demazure algebra due to Hoffnung, Malagón-López, Savage and Zainoulline in two directions. First, we introduce and study the notion of formal Demazure lattices of a Kac-Moody root system and show that the definitions and properties of the formal (affine) Demazure operators and algebras hold for such lattices. Second, we show that for the hyperbolic formal group law the formal Demazure algebra is isomorphic (after extending the coefficients) to the Hecke algebra.

A Lift of Cohomology Eigenclasses of Hecke Operators

Hansen, Brian Francis 24 May 2010 (has links) (PDF)
A considerable amount of evidence has shown that for every prime p &neq; N observed, a simultaneous eigenvector v_0 of Hecke operators T(l,i), i=1,2, in H^3(Γ_0(N),F(0,0,0)) has a “lift” v in H^3(Γ_0(N),F(p−1,0,0)) — i.e., a simultaneous eigenvector v of Hecke operators having the same system of eigenvalues that v_0 has. For each prime p>3 and N=11 and 17, we construct a vector v that is in the cohomology group H^3(Γ_0(N),F(p−1,0,0)). This is the first construction of an element of infinitely many different cohomology groups, other than modulo p reductions of characteristic zero objects. We proceed to show that v is an eigenvector of the Hecke operators T(2,1) and T(2,2) for p>3. Furthermore, we demonstrate that in many cases, v is a simultaneous eigenvector of all the Hecke operators.

Hecke Eigenvalues and Arithmetic Cohomology

Cocke, William Leonard 19 June 2014 (has links) (PDF)
We provide algorithms and documention to compute the cohomology of congruence subgroups of the special linear group over the integers when n=3 using the well-rounded retract and the Voronoi decomposition. We define the Sharbly complex and how one acts on a k-sharbly by the Hecke operators. Since the norm of a sharbly is not preserved by the Hecke operators we also examine the reduction techniques described by Gunnells and present our implementation of said techniques for n=3.
