Desde os anos 1980, tem sido freqüente a adoção de práticas de valorização e recuperação do patrimônio cultural como meio de reabilitação de espaços urbanos degradados, visando a revitalização dos centros urbanos, através da reinserção de edifícios e conjuntos de valor histórico no cotidiano da cidade por meio de novos usos, adotando um novo paradigma de desenvolvimento que se contrapõe às práticas de renovação urbana. Também no município de Santo André a gestão pública tem buscado alternativas de valorização da memória e do patrimônio cultural desde os primeiros anos da década de 1990, parte de um processo que dez anos atrás havia se iniciado por meio de debates públicos sobre a salvaguarda do patrimônio, amplamente registrados pela imprensa escrita local. No entanto, embora as diretrizes de desenvolvimento econômico e social da administração local enfatizem a importância do resgate da memória como afirmação da identidade local, os elementos urbanos remanescentes da paisagem do antigo Bairro da Estação de São Bernardo não têm recebido atenção adequada das políticas de desenvolvimento urbano pelo desconhecimento do valor de inúmeros edifícios e logradouros espalhados na cidade ou mesmo por falta de instrumentos legais para a preservação. Esta tese propõe como hipótese de trabalho afirmar que há permanência de remanescentes da memória fundadora da paisagem do 'povoado-estação' que se formou ao redor da estação Santo André que merecem ser identificados, valorizados e protegidos, conforme estabelecem as cartas e resoluções de congressos e seminários internacionais de proteção do patrimônio cultural. A partir da identificação dos elementos urbanos que se identificam com remanescentes da paisagem ferroviária, este trabalho propõe a realização de uma reflexão sobre as práticas de valorização e preservação do patrimônio ambiental urbano experimentado no município de Santo André e propõe alternativas para a salvaguarda do patrimônio cultural local. / Since the decade of 1980, it has been recurrent the adoption of practices of valuation and recuperation of cultural patrimony as a means of urban spaces renewal aiming at urban centers revitalization, by means of reinsertion of buildings and historical clusters at citys daily life with new kinds of using, which adopts a development paradigm that is contradictory to urban renewal practices. Also in the municipality of Santo André, the public power has searched for alternatives of memory and cultural patrimony valuation early in the decade of 1990, as part of a process that had been started off ten years ago with public debates about the patrimony safeguard, widely registered by the local press. However, although the social and economical development guidelines of the local administration highlight the importance of the rescue of memory as a local identitys affirmation, the reminiscent urban elements from São Bernardo´s former Bairro da Estação have not been receiving adequate attention by urban development policies for the unfamiliarity with the value of innumerable buildings and public lots spread in the city, or even for the lack of preservation legal tools. This thesis proposes, as work hypothesis, to state that there is permanence of reminiscents of the 'station-town' establishing memory, which has been formed around the train station of Santo André and are worthy of identification, valuation and protection, as it has been stated by documents and resolutions from international congresses and seminars on cultural patrimony protection. From the identification of urban elements that are identified with the railway scape, this work proposes a reflection on the practices of valuation and preservation of the urban environment patrimony experienced in the municipality of Santo André, and proposes alternatives to the safeguard of the local cultural patrimony.

Previous issue date: 2017-07-03 / FAPEMA / In the recent history of South Africa, the State has sought to formulate and implement
public policies in the field of culture considering the diversity of the peoples of the
region. This coincides with South Africa, whose formal political system is democracy.
Thus, through different governmental actions, a series of public policies have been
promoted aiming at the promotion and valorization of culture. It is observed in the
field of cultural policies the identification and valuation of some material and
immaterial heritage, consubstanciando a sort of heritage of policy. In this perspective,
in the present work, which consists of an exploratory research of bibliographical and
documentary character, the relationship between State and Culture in the
construction of the Rainbow Nation is analyzed, epithet by means of which this
country of the south of Africa, historically marked by the segregation and by
Apartheid, intends to redefine itself. Post-Apartheid South Africa has sought in
heritage policies a new sense for the nation when it comes to the renaming of
streets, the transformation of buildings into museums, and the holding of events
reminiscent of the characters who fought against racial segregation. These actions of
renations, transformations and praises institutionalized by the State are inserted in
the field of public policies. Thus, it is problematic how the State appropriates the
culture and the heritage for the construction of its project of nation. The official
projects and plans for post-Apartheid South African cultural and heritage policies are
centered on building a nation marked by its ethnic and cultural diversity, and it seems
to be this multicultural and multiethnic heritage that should become a symbol of the
Rainbow Nation. Of course, this is a complex process marked by tensions and
ambiguities. / Na recente história da África do Sul, o Estado tem buscado formular e implementar
políticas públicas no campo da cultura considerando a diversidade dos povos da
região. Este momento coincide com a África do Sul cujo sistema político formal é a
democracia. Assim, através de diferentes ações governamentais, tem-se promovido
uma série de políticas públicas visando à promoção e valorização da cultura.
Observa-se no campo das políticas culturais a identificação e valorização de alguns
patrimônios materiais e imateriais, consubstanciando-se uma espécie de política de
patrimonialização. Nessa perspectiva, no presente trabalho, que consiste em uma
pesquisa exploratória de caráter bibliográfico e documental, analisa-se a relação
entre Estado e Cultura na construção da Rainbow Nation, epíteto por meio do qual
esse país do sul da África, historicamente marcado pela segregação e pelo
Apartheid, pretende se redefinir. A África do Sul pós-Apartheid tem buscado nas
políticas patrimoniais um novo sentido para se pensar a nação, quando se observa a
renomeação de ruas, a transformação de prédios em museus e a realização de
eventos relembrando os personagens que lutaram contra a segregação racial. Essas
ações de renomeações, transformações e louvações institucionalizadas pelo Estado
estão inseridas no campo das políticas públicas. Assim, problematiza-se como o
Estado se apropria da cultura e do patrimônio para a construção de seu projeto de
nação. Os projetos e planos oficiais de políticas culturais e patrimoniais sul-africanas
pós-Apartheid se centram na construção de uma nação marcada pela sua
diversidade étnica e cultural, e parece ser este patrimônio multicultural e pluriétnico
que deveria se tornar símbolo da Rainbow Nation. Evidentemente, este é um
processo complexo e marcado por tensões e ambigüidades.

Traditional dwellings have been exposed to environmental factors due to the
increasing concentration in urban areas or reusing the dwellings for a different
function that brings more profit. Tourism is one of the most important reasons for
this transformation.
Cappadocia is one of the regions where the transformation of historical structures
into tourism facilities is common. In the last 5-10 years the concept of tourism
and hotel management has changed and dwellings themselves were transformed
to hotels and were called Boutique Hotels. And this transformation is mostly
seen in Ü / rgü / p. However, some problems are encountered in the transformation of
traditional dwellings into Boutique Hotels. These problems are concerned with
the difficulties experienced in interventions to the dwellings, positive and
negative affects on environment and the legal problems pertaining the project,
implementation and certification procedures.
This thesis aims to question the harmony between the transformation in Ü / rgü / p
and the functional, physical, social and cultural aspects of the traditionaldwellings in Ü / rgü / p, to assess the the implementations and their relations with
environment relationships. In addition to this, taking the example of Ü / rgü / p as a
starting point, this thesis aims to discuss the relations between cultural identity
and tourism, the positive and negative effects of tourism on traditional structure,
and the balance between conservation and tourism. Taking into consideration the
deficiencies in the legal definition and management criteria of Boutique Hotels,
which are gradually becoming common, the discussion of the definition of
Boutique Hotel is one of the important aims of this thesis.

Anapolis system of public education, having as the main goal to disperse knowledge and
information about Heritage Culture and its insertion through the educational communities
and places through educational movements accordingly to the methodology of the Heritage
Education, Education Projects and Action search. The research done with the systems
educators showed the lack of knowledge of the subject matter of heritage culture in the
school environment, in the educational practice and on the basic resumé, showing the need

were used for the conception of the Project and of the habilitation course of the teachers to

students, this reading which praises the values of the cultural roots that are part of our
history. / O projeto propõe a implantação do Programa de Educação Patrimonial nas escolas da
rede pública municipal de ensino de Anápolis, tendo como principal objetivo disseminar
conhecimento e informação sobre o patrimônio cultural e sua apropriação pelas
comunidades escolares e locais através de ações educativas planejadas de acordo com as
metodologias da Educação Patrimonial, Pedagogia de Projetos e Pesquisa-ação. A pesquisa
realizada com os educadores da rede revelou o desconhecimento da temática do patrimônio
cultural no lócus escolar, nas práticas pedagógicas e no currículo básico, evidenciando a
necessidade da implantação deste Programa de Educação Patrimonial. Referências
conceituais como a de patrimônio cultural, educação patrimonial, educação, cultura,
cultura material escolar, temas transversais foram utilizado para a elaboração do Projeto e
do curso de capacitação dos professores a ser ministrado por especialistas e profissionais
da área. A capacitação docente é essencial para que os educadores se percebam como
aprendizes, sintam-se verdadeiramente alfabetizados culturalmente, a fim de lerem o
mundo e ensinarem tais leituras aos seus alunos, leitura esta que preze valores pelas raízes
culturais que fazem parte da nossa história.

The thesis focuses on the mediation of electronic information resources of cultural heritage from public libraries to public. The text is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. Introductory chapters explain key terms - cultural heritage, digitization of analog cultural object and digital library and describe chosen benefits that providing of electronic information resources of cultural heritage brings to public libraries. The thesis also includes analysis of chosen electronic information resources of cultural heritage. They are presented Manuscriptorium, Kramerius, Moll Collection, online portal Europeana and web site of American Memory project. The practical part of this thesis presents the results of a supply and demand survey. The first survey was implemented on web pages of Czech regional libraries and the second survey is user survey among the Czech public. The last chapter is formed by recommendations for public libraries which offer electronic resources of cultural heritage.

Motivation, cultural values, learning processes, and learning in Chinese studentsOuyang, Li 01 August 2008 (has links)
The purpose of this study was: (a) to examine the predictive utility of the achievement goal and Student Approaches to Learning (SAL) frameworks for characterizing Chinese students’ motivation and achievement, and (b) to investigate how Confucian-heritage culture (CHC) may combine with achievement goals or SAL to generate different learning processes and outcomes and to promote optimal motivation. A questionnaire was conducted during a two-week period with over 700 first-year students who took both of the two courses—college English classes for non-English majors and advanced mathematics classes for science students—at a university in northern China. The questionnaire consisted of students’ self-reported demographic information and the instrument that was designed to measure: (a) goal orientations, (b) attitudes towards the specified CHC values, (c) SAL constructs, and (d) two variables widely used in research in this field—metacognitive strategy and school well-being. Exploratory factor analyses were conducted to examine the consistency of the extracted factor solutions with the four goal constructs postulated by the 2 x 2 conceptualization, the two SAL contructs posited by the SAL framework, and the five cultural value contructs derived from the literature review. Standard analysis procedures were used to calculate the reliability of the scales and to determine which items should be retained for further analyses. Then regression analyses were employed to examine the relationship of the goal orientation framework and SAL framework to cultural values, school well-being, metacognitive strategies, and grades. Results indicated that the 2 x 2 achievement goal framework was an appropriate model for characterizing the types of achievement goals these Chinese students pursued and for predicting a number of achievement-relevant processes and outcomes, as was the revised two-factor SAL framework for characterizing the different ways students approached their learning and for predicting these learning processes and outcomes. The results supported Chinese students’ multiple goal pursuit in an additive goal pattern, an interactive goal pattern, or a specialized goal pattern to promote their optimal motivation and achievement. Previous issue date: 2015-09-14 / Esta tese intitulada como “As ferrovias como Patrimônio Cultural Mundial: Os Estados-parte, a UNESCO e o Valor Universal Excepcional” apresenta como principal objetivo investigar a atribuição do valor universal excepcional “outstanding universal value” (OUV) às ferrovias inscritas na Lista do Patrimônio Mundial, através da análise destinada a identificar os critérios e requisitos necessários para o seu reconhecimento. Assim sendo, apresenta-se dividida em 03 etapas: a primeira corresponde ao eixo teórico da pesquisa, onde são abordados o entendimento do patrimônio ferroviário e do valor universal excepcional. Para tanto, são apresentados, em um primeiro momento, um panorama geral sobre as ferrovias, as discussões sobre a preservação do patrimônio ferroviário no contexto mundial, e a percepção do patrimônio ferroviário no âmbito da UNESCO. A seguinte abordagem teórica centra-se na compreensão do valor à luz da Teoria dos Valores (Axiologia dos Valores) e da Teoria da Conservação. O segundo eixo da pesquisa refere-se aos aspectos metodológicos adotados para a investigação da atribuição do valor universal excepcional às ferrovias mundiais. Desta forma, são selecionados 03 (três) estudos de caso, para a consecução do objetivo central desta tese: a ferrovia Semmering, na Áustria; a Ferrovia Darjeeling, na Índia; e a Ferrovia Rhaetian, que corta os países da Suíça e Itália. O método selecionado para a análise das aludidas ferrovias é a Análise de Contéudo, de Bardin, aplicado no corpus documental, composto pelos Documentos de Avaliação do Corpo Consultivo de cada ferrovia analisada. A tese utiliza como premissa de que a partir da identificação dos atributos das ferrovias é possível interpretar os valores que, de forma inter-relacionada, conformam a categoria do valor universal excepcional das ferrovias mundiais. Desta forma, a partir da análise realizada em cada uma das ferrovias selecionadas, foi possível inferir que o seu valor universal excepcional é composto por uma pluralidade de valores dinâmicos e interdependentes, que se relacionam de forma a ressaltar uma ordem e uma hierarquia, onde os valores de maior destaque são o que mais importam preservar, por justificarem o reconhecimento das ferrovias como patrimônio cultural mundial. / The dissertation "The railways as a World Cultural Heritage: States Parties, UNESCO and the Outstanding Universal Value" has aims at investigating the attribution of Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) to railways included on the World Heritage List, through the identification of criteria and requirements for recognition. The research focuses on 03 stages. The first stage is the theoretical framework of the research, aiming at approaching the theoretical problem: an understanding of the railway heritage and of outstanding universal value. Accordingly, there follow an overview of the railways, discussions on the preservation of the railway heritage in the global context, and in the UNESCO context. The second theoretical approach corresponds to the understanding of the value to the Theory of Values (Axiology of Values) and Conservation Theory. The second approach focused on the investigation of the empirical problem: the attribution of outstanding universal value. In this way, three (03) case studies to achieve the central objective of this thesis are highlighted: The Semmering Railway, Austria; the Railway Darjeeling, India; and the Rhaetian Railway, which crosses Switzerland and Italy. The method used for the analysis of that railway is Bardin`s Content Analysis, applied to the documentation corpus, consisting of the Advisory Body Assessment Document of each analyzed railroad. The dissertation is based on the premise that from the railways attributes of identification it is possible to interpret the values that make up the outstanding universal value of the world's railways. Thus, the empirical axis of research, analysis of each of the selected railways performed, leadin to infer that the outstanding universal value of the global railway is composed of a plurality of values dynamic and interdependent and that there is a hierarchy in its relations, point out an order, where the most outstanding values are what should be preserved, as justified by the recognition of the railways as a cultural world.
