This Master’s Thesis Focuses on Problematics of Business Process Management in Manufacturing and Trading Company Utilizing Software Products. The Result of the Thesis Is a Design of Changes related to Management of the Current Processes and Selection of Enterprise Information System to Support Managerial Decisions on Tactical and Operational Level. Evaluation of Economic Effects of the Investment into the Information System is a Part of the Designs.

資訊科技不斷的日新月異，整個社會也已經邁入了資訊時代。網路科技帶來了「網路經濟」，在此階段裡有許多新興的企業產生，但在歷經了網路泡沫後，許多企業也因而消失。這整個帶給人們在策略上新的思維，藉由網路、資訊科技，企業似乎可以比以前更有競爭力，藉由網路，企業似乎可以跳脫以往疆界的觀念，而達到無遠弗屆的境界，藉由新的科技，小蝦米也可以創造一番大的事業。本研究主要是因應在資訊爆炸的時代及科技不斷進步下，以承接研究計畫的專案單位在面臨競爭的壓力時，如何藉由資訊策略來幫助提昇競爭力。 本研究的個案單位正面臨不斷競爭的壓力，不僅外在的競爭者的加入，而且因為預算不斷消減，相對以往的人事成本反而增加，在面對新的環境要如何持續保有競爭力？本研究主要是以企業競爭優勢、企業策略與資訊策略三個方向來探討分析。由研究得知以此類型個案單位的研究很少，研究資源相當有限，不過從個案單位的案例分析中，雖然個案單位對資訊化的投入一直不懈怠，然而資訊科技對個案單位的影響就格道分析來看還只是在「支援型」的階段，也就是IT對它們在作業和未來策略的制訂都影響不大。本研究的分析結果建議此類型的個案單位應從「流程改造」開始，重新開發新的整合的專案管理系統。當然除了「流程再造」及建立「專案管理系統」外，相對應的制度等也需一併配合。本研究建議資訊部門重新定位與正名是有必要的，為了激勵資訊部門的績效，其升遷制度也有必要做調整。藉由專案管理系統來改善個案單位的經營績效，然後將公司帶入「工廠型」的階段。而未來更可以透過此一階段所累積的知識資料庫，進而創造出「智庫」型的應用，再將企業轉型成「策略型」的組織。 雖然相關的研究資料難以找到，不過本研究的過程及對以承接研究專案的專案單位的資訊策略建議，希望能作為未來相關領域或相類似公司的參考。

The aim of the research was to investigate the current state of scientific and technological (S&T) information service provision in Thailand with a focus on its role of supporting research and development. The ultimate goal of the research was to develop a service model(s) which could aid the modernisation of the S&T information service. The information policies and strategic management at national and institutional levels were examined together with present and future roles in service provision and barriers to S&T information development. The research framework was constructed on the basis of theoretical models of the provision and management of effective information services. The institutions which participated in this research included 46 academic and special libraries in Thailand, hereafter called S&T information centres, and two funding agencies. The data were collected using a variety of research tools, employing both quantitative and qualitative methods, namely, questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and focus groups. The questionnaires were distributed to five groups of respondents: executives, managers, librarians or staff, end-users, and executives or policy-makers of funding agencies. Two hundred and eighty-nine questionnaires were sent by post to 45 S&T information centres and two funding agencies whilst 703 questionnaires were also distributed to end-users. Interviews were performed with 55 executives and library managers. Three focus groups were organised on different topics, with a total of 36 participants. The major findings showed that national information policy in relation to S&T information was still relatively ineffective with roles and responsibilities of stakeholders not explicitly identified. In general, the results showed that institutional information policies exist but weak communication between executives, managers, and staff caused problems with implementation and interpretation. Most S&T centres were found to have strategic plans. The focus of these were on issues of integrated ICT infrastructure, acquisition of electronic resources, service improvement, communication with users and feedback, user education, cost effective use of resources, E-library transition and knowledge sharing. The development of resource sharing via computerised networks was considered to be paramount; progress to date was thought to be slow due to a lack of policies at national and institutional levels. Users' information literacy was still found to be an issue, particularly in respect of making effective use of electronic resources. The thesis provided recommendations for a national network for S&T information provision to be designed and managed by a hosting provider.

This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the information systems used within a company providing voice services and subsequent proposals of modifications. The theoretical part covers the essential background of information systems and describes methods for their evaluation. This knowledge is applied in the analytical part afterwards. The deficiencies are identified on the basis of the analysis and proposals to improve the current state are formulated with subsequent time and economical evaluation.

The thesis deals with the issue of the implementation of the corporate information system of the ERP category, specifically the introduction of the module of APO for SAP in the chosen manufacturing company. The work presents the theoretical fundamentals describing the basics of ERP along with available methodologies, the implementation of these systems. Also analyzes the frequent causes of delayed implementation projects and provides the basis for the search for the causes of the problems. In the next section it is made an overall analysis of the current state of the ERP system in the company. At the conclusion of this work are defined recommendations, which can be prevented critical factors and implementation could be completed according to the established timetable.

This diploma thesis deals with the information strategy of the company EURPAL Ltd. (spol. s r.o.), whose current strategy seems to be outdated. Thanks to the analysis of the current state and the proposals of usable measures, an improvement in the information strategy of the company should be achieved through the implementation of the information system. The object of this thesis is first to introduce the company and its structure, then to use analyses to identify possible risks and finally propose measures, that can be used to help prevent these risks, or that can at least be used to mitigate their impacts.

This diploma thesis is focused on the information strategy of the small family business The Faltys´ bookstore. There are discussed internal and external conditions that have a relevant influence on a proposal of the information strategy and elaborated proposal of the information strategy that will serve as an important base for management decisions and plans.

The master's thesis deals with the information support of business processes of the company which deals with the selling of goods via the Internet. Assesses the current state of the company business processes and their information support including objectives, plans and strategy of the company. Submits proposals for strategical and procedural changes and their information support including assessment of the impact of their implementation.

This diploma thesis is focused on the possibility of using modern approaches to information technology management. Specifically, it concentrates on demands for innovation of software development lifecycle management. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on methods used in information strategy. Based on results of the analytical part, where I evaluate current approach to information technologies service management, I suggest solutions in the form of customer oriented information strategy and approach to the management of software development as a part of service lifecycle.

Diploma thesis deals with the assessment of information systems and enterprise informatics in real business environment. Based on theoretical systematically processed bases is developed analytical part, which is divided according to content into two logical examination of the area. The first is dedicated to the analysis of business firms and the second part has been engaged in business informatics. The primary objective of this thesis is based on strategic business analysis and enterprise informatics proposes measures for improving the current state of information systems and information technology in selected company.
