Spårbarhet i verkstadsindustrin

Lahti, Jens, Englund, Gustav January 2020 (has links)
For the companies and organisations in the manufacturing industry the fourth industrial revolution is very important. To reduce risk, increase efficiency and stay competitive companies need to gain an understanding about and adopt the technological aspects regarding industry 4.0. This paper has its focus on the aspect of traceability that revolves around the ability to track, trace, and predict the location of a lot, its sub-components, and raw materials through the supply chain. In this study we also investigate why companies in the manufacturing industry should aim toward an increased amount of traceability in their manufacturing processes and how traceability can be implemented by companies in the manufacturing industry. This study is based on scientific research of industry 4.0 and traceability and the data collection was made of interviews with people from companies in the manufacturing industry, observations, project meetings and personal contact with employees. The result of the study highlights the positive effects that a well implemented traceability solution can have on companies in the manufacturing industry. As well as the challenges companies might identify. The result also shows that there are some differences between companies depending on what field they work in, the products they produce and the external requirements. Through the interviews and personal contact we could identify that there is a great positivity regarding traceability in general and a consensus that it already has or will make a great impact on the company by creating value and increasing efficiency. The ability to track raw material through the production process to the final product seems to be a great way to manage costs and other aspects that brings down the efficiency when problems emerges. The lack of a theoretical framework regarding the implementations of traceability can be a challenge for companies and brings some complexity to the work around traceability. The result of the study also highlights this and focuses on some critical factors that companies has to consider and overcome when implementing traceability. Finally we have identified that there is a broad knowledge and competence in the companies and industries and together with the constantly evolving technologies of industry 4.0 we stand very optimistic to the possibilities for different companies to be able to successfully implement traceability in their production processes and increase value for themselves as well as their customers.

Design och teknisk skuld i relationsdatabaser : En utvärdering av konsekvenserna av design och teknisk skuld i en driftsatt relationsdatabas / Design and technical debt in relational databases : Evaluation of the consequences of design and technical debt in an operational relational database.

Bizzarri, André, Gröning, Gustaf January 2020 (has links)

Norling, Fredrik, Karlsson, Marcus January 2020 (has links)
In the search to find the best solution to keep our information secure, companies, large and small, are investing in developing applications and technologies that, with the help of human features, so-called biometric methods, will be able to more easily and reliably confirm the identity of individuals. The new investments in these methods entail great advantages such as e.g. being able to quickly verify and identify a person when needed, avoiding the hassle of remembering difficult passwords and above all reducing the risk of illegal intrusion into networks, etc. which can be very costly for companies. Even users who want to avoid having their personal information and sensitive information stolen can benefit from biometric methods. However, technology is not entirely without its risks and disadvantages. Human traits, which are used as measuring instruments in identification and authentication (eg fingerprints, eyes, voice and face), are unique and only exist in limited numbers, so it is very difficult to find solutions if these were to be compromised. In addition, there is a concern about how people's personal data is processed and how well personal integrity is handled. This study is based on data collected using the netnographic method from the online forum Reddit. TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) examines how the use of biometric authentication methods is experienced by IT users on the forum. The result in brief is that many IT users express a certain skepticism towards biometric methods, even if it varies somewhat depending on the technology involved. Fingerprints that have been used for a long time seem to have the greatest acceptance among IT users. In general, more development is needed of the technologies to clearly convince the majority of users of the benefits of them.
