The purpose was to allow insights that develop/chalenge, from the understanding of how to evaluate the perspective and the expression pattern of the spiritual dimension, a broadning of our life purposes and goals which take into account the whole human being concept. In the bibliografic review, was relevant the study of the mankind historical development as to allow the understanding of the actual materialistic context and emerging efforts for the rescue of our innerbeing, seeking through balance an expression of the integrity. The PSI (PsychoMatrix Spirituality Inventory of Wolman, 2002) reports, in its seven aspects, revealed the participants’ spirituality profile, which was afterwards analyzed by themselves through a subject’s relevant bibliografy review. The semi-structured interviews were aimed to analyse and develop, based in the participants perceptions, life purposes and goals which favor the self education directed to the integrity. The results and analysis revealed the efective presence of an spiritual dimension in the participants’ life, causing some of them surprise, once they didn’t imagine that their spirituality could have such intense presence in the simplicity of every day life. To feel connected to a “superior being”, to be concerned with phisical well being, to seek to continuesly deepen your knowledge, to perceive sutil and invisible movements, to participate in activities to benefit others, to learn through dificult and painful moments and how childhood religious practice can help during adult life are the seven aspects present in the PSI and which identified and undestood in the present moment, can guide to a broadning of life purposes and goals with reasoning and meaning. To open room for and inner dialogue and to develop a language to provide it to others, improving relationships and bringing people together, allowing them to understand their close relation with others and with the universe, was the contribution of this study. / Esta pesquisa de um estudo qualitativo, numa abordagem fenomenológica, abordou a natureza da espiritualidade como auxiliar na ampliação de consciência. Teve como objetivo propiciar situações de reflexão que estimulem/desafiem, a partir da compreensão da avaliação do foco e padrão de expressão da dimensão espiritual, uma ampliação dos propósitos e objetivos de vida que contemplem a inteireza. No referencial teórico destacou-se a revisitação à história da humanidade para uma compreensão do contexto materialista atual e os esforços emergentes de um retorno à interioridade, buscando no equilíbrio a expressão da inteireza. Os resultados da aplicação do PSI - PsychoMatrix Spirituality Inventory de Wolman (2002) em seus sete fatores revelaram o perfil de espiritualidade dos participantes, sendo por eles analisados à luz de referencial teórico pertinente. A entrevista semi-estruturada buscou analisar e encaminhar, a partir das percepções dos participantes, propósitos e objetivos de vida que favoreçam uma auto-educação para a inteireza. Os resultados e análises revelaram que a presença da dimensão espiritual é efetiva na vida dos participantes, causando por vezes até surpresa, pois não imaginavam poder fazer parte desta de forma tão intensa na simplicidade e sutileza do seu dia-a-dia. Sentir-se ligado a um ser superior, preocupar-se com o bem-estar físico, buscar aprofundar seus conhecimentos, perceber movimentos mais sutis e invisíveis, participar de atividades em benefício dos outros, aprender com os momentos difíceis e de dor e ainda como uma prática religiosa na infância pode ajudar na vida adulta são os enfoques dos sete fatores do PSI, que identificados e compreendidos no momento vivido, podem encaminhar para uma ampliação dos propósitos e objetivos de vida com sentido e significado. Abrir espaço para um diálogo interior e proporcionar uma linguagem para estendê-lo ao outro, melhorando os relacionamentos e aproximando as pessoas, compreendendo sua estreita ligação com os outros e o universo, foi a contribuição deste estudo.

Spiritual intelligence suggests it may be one of various types of intelligence and that can be built regardless of the IQ level. Spiritual intelligence needs a deepening of self-integration of the inner life of mind and spirit with the outer life of work in the world, both personal and professional, showing that they are not different behaviors. It can be cultivated through spiritual practices and the apex is the express spiritual maturity through true perception (wisdom and meanings) before the choices. What itself contributes to the insight in making assertive choices that contribute to their own well-being and his neighbor. Spiritual intelligence can be developed everywhere, inside and outside of religious traditions regardless of belief, in the workplace and living in society / Esta dissertação apresenta um neologismo sob a ótica da ciência da religião, “a inteligência espiritual”. A inteligência espiritual consiste em um dos vários tipos de inteligência e pode ser construída independentemente do grau de QI. A inteligência espiritual precisa de um aprofundamento no autoconhecimento. Trata-se da integração da vida interior da mente e do espírito com a vida exterior de trabalho no mundo, tanto pessoal quanto profissional, mostrando que não são comportamentos distintos. Ela pode ser cultivada por meio de práticas espirituais. Seu ápice é a maturidade espiritual expressa através da percepção verdadeira (sabedoria e significados) perante as escolhas. Isso contribui para o discernimento de escolhas assertivas que contribuam para o bem-estar próprio e do semelhante. A inteligência espiritual pode ser desenvolvida em todos os lugares, dentro das tradições religiosas e fora delas, como no ambiente de trabalho e na convivência em sociedade

It is known that the modern academic space is focused in a normotonic education, this is, based primarily in the rational, in a fragmented, competitive and excluding way. Based on this reality, our hypothesis is that allying the intellectual dimension to spirituality will help human beings to build a path that will give them a purpose in life, in other words, that the insertion of a spiritual perspective, integrative and holistic in the academic environment can provide a transformation in the way people see themselves, others and the world. The methodology used was bibliographic analysis, and also a field survey with university graduate theology students from Pontifical Catholic University of Goias. This inquiry demonstrated that spiritual intelligence can be introduced in the academic grid and that, there are tools to this work that contribute both to human being's transformation and academic space's transformation, that begins to considerate the teaching-learning process in an inclusive way. / Esta pesquisa pretende demonstrar que o espaço acadêmico poderá se constituir num ambiente propício para a transformação das pessoas mediante a compreensão de uma espiritualidade que integre sentido e significado à vida do ser humano. É sabido que o espaço acadêmico atual está focado em uma educação normótica, isto é, baseada prioritariamente no racional, de forma fragmentada, competitiva e excludente. Diante dessa realidade, nossa hipótese é que aliar a dimensão intelectual à espiritualidade auxilia o ser humano a construir um caminho que lhe confira um propósito de vida, ou seja, que a inserção de uma perspectiva espiritual, integradora e holística no ambiente acadêmico poderá proporcionar uma transformação no modo como as pessoas veem a si, o outro e o mundo. A metodologia utilizada foi análise bibliográfica, mas também pesquisa de campo junto a discentes de graduação da disciplina Teologia da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás – PUC Goiás. Esta investigação demonstrou que a inteligência espiritual pode ser introduzida na grade acadêmica e que há ferramentas para esse trabalho que contribuem tanto para a transformação do ser humano quanto do espaço acadêmico, que passa a considerar o processo de ensino-aprendizagem de forma integradora.

The primary purpose was to show that the human being is endowed with a spiritual understanding, that is, he carries within him a divine spark capable of making sense and meaning to his life, and that from this emerges the need for that human being to have a new vision of the world. The dissertation is divided into three chapters. The first deals with the contextualization of the historical process by which humanity has experienced, thus presenting a story about the paradigm of rationality and the transition to the new paradigm. The second explains how spirituality is understood in the traditional paradigm and the new paradigms, as well as the urgency and importance of spirituality as intelligence, highlighting it s urgency today. The third shows a correlation between concepts and theories presented in previous chapters, utilising Jesus as an example, a person who had the spiritual intelligence as an evident trace in his being. / Propõe-se nesta pesquisa a fazer um estudo da espiritualidade humana como inteligência. O intuito principal foi mostrar que o ser humano é dotado de uma inteligência espiritual, isto é, que ele carrega dentro de si uma centelha divina capaz de criar sentido e significado para a sua vida, e que disso emerge a necessidade de esse ser humano ter uma nova visão de mundo. A dissertação está dividida em três capítulos. O primeiro trata da contextualização do processo histórico pelo qual a humanidade vem passando, apresentando, assim, a história sobre o paradigma da racionalidade, assim como a passagem para o novo paradigma. O segundo expõe como a espiritualidade é compreendida no paradigma tradicional e o novo paradigma, bem como a urgência e relevância da espiritualidade como inteligência, destacando sua premente atualidade. O terceiro apresenta uma correlação entre conceitos e teorias apresentados nos capítulos antecedentes, utilizando como exemplo Jesus, uma pessoa que tinha a inteligência espiritual como traço evidente de seu ser.
