Umělá inteligence a autorské právo / Artificial intelligence and copyright law

Czichon, Radek January 2021 (has links)
1 Artificial intelligence and copyright law Abstract This thesis studies the relationship between copyright law and artificial intelligence which is becoming more and more significant even in the field of creative arts. The main question of this ongoing conflict is whether creative outputs of artificial intelligence can be copyrightable works and if so, who is the author of such works. The first part of the thesis deals with the two preliminary questions which must be answered before assessing the main issues of this thesis. Firstly, the thesis answers what artificial intelligence is, how it works and what is its definition. Secondly, current legislation regarding artificial intelligence and its creative outputs is assessed. In the second part the thesis identifies relevant regulation defining conceptual features of copyrightable works in the Czech Republic and the European Union. Main issue of this part is whether outputs of artificial intelligence can fulfill requirements set by the conceptual features of work. Two examples of real artificial intelligence projects from the music industry are used in this analyses. Thesis focuses mainly on the requirements of originality and creativity which are usually the most problematic for artificially generated outputs to meet. The third part of this thesis deals...

Generování navigační mřížky s vysokou přesností / Generating High-Precision Navigation Mesh

Sanchez, Luis January 2021 (has links)
Navigation meshes are a widely used method for representing the world geometry in a format that can be used by pathfinding algorithms. Frequently used navigation mesh generation algorithms first discretize the input ge- ometry into a grid of voxels and then reconstruct the mesh out of them. This benefits the simplicity and performance of the algorithm, but comes with drawbacks. If the voxels are too large, the navigation mesh is not precise enough and may even have some pathways missing. If the voxels are too small, creation of the mesh takes too long. In this thesis we propose and implement an algorithm that creates a navigation mesh directly from the input geometry without using an intermediate voxel representation. This allows us to preserve original detail where required and results in a more precise navigation mesh. 1

Přirozená a umělá inteligence / Natural and Artificial Intelligence

Šaněk, Petr January 2011 (has links)
This work deals with the field of artificial intelligence and the interconnected question of the possibility to make thinking machines. The natural and human intelligence evolution summary outlines the starting points of the field. To give the clearer picture of the problem, I also describe the development of artificial intelligence branch and the development of computers. My work combines informatics and philosophical approaches. In the scope of the first one, I summarize different approaches to AI, with emphasis on sub-symbolic methods which are used afterwards to explain the concept of intelligence development. In the scope of the philosophical approach, the text deals with different philosophical points of view on making intelligent machines, which comment phenomena like consciousness, subjective experience or the body-mind problem. I contradict the use of intuition to solve the thought experiments dealing with mind and I argue for the possibility to make intelligent machines. The futurology visions are the last starting point for stating my opinion on the future development of IA and human ability to make the thinking machine.

Návrh trading strategie pro řízení volného finančního kapitálu firmy / Design of Trading Strategy for Managing of Free Financial Capital of the Company

Jiřík, Leoš January 2014 (has links)
This thesis deals with the design of trading strategies suitable for trading the currency markets. Design is carried out by means of artificial intelligence, the proposed strategies are then optimized and evaluated using previously unknown data. The partial objective is to implant this process in an existing company with the aim to broaden its capital. The consequences arising from this trading approach to the development of the company’s capital are subsequently studied from several perspectives – a schedule is outlined for the introduction into the company that has been chosen earlier, then the expected costs and revenues are compared in the scope of medium-term and in the last part the above procedure is analyzed so its risks can be pointed out and therefore procedures for their restrictions can be proposed as well.

Umělá inteligence jako výzva pro soukromé právo / Artificial intelligence as a challenge to private law

Soukupová, Jana January 2020 (has links)
Artificial intelligence as a challenge to private law Abstract The subject of this master thesis is private law and artificial intelligence. The main goal of this thesis is the analysis of private law aspects of artificial intelligence and the evaluation of current laws regarding this technology. Therefore, the thesis mainly deals with the legal status of artificial intelligence within the current law and the possible granting of the status of an electronic person. It also deals with the issue of appropriate regulation of artificial intelligence in the future. The first part of the thesis is focused primarily on the concept of artificial intelligence, its importance for society and law and its risks. The primary goal of this chapter is to acquaint the reader with the functioning of artificial intelligence as a technology, while considering its differences from other technologies, especially its autonomy. The second part of the thesis is then focused on a critical analysis of artificial intelligence in terms of current law, according to which artificial intelligence can be considered a thing in the legal sense, a product or an author's work. Part of this chapter is also focused on the issue of protection of works or inventions created by artificial intelligence and on the considerations of artificial...

Trestní odpovědnost umělé inteligence / Criminal liability of artificial intelligence

Racek, Libor January 2020 (has links)
1 Criminal liability of artificial intellingence Abstract The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the possible criminal liability of artificial intelligence for its socially harmful unlawful conduct and if artificial intelligence cannot be criminal liable then evaluate criminal liability of persons for the unlawful acts of artificial intelligence, and also to assess whether it is necessary to change laws so that we can use in such situations the ultima ratio principle (criminal law). The first chapter deals with the concept of artificial intelligence. At the beginning of this chapter I deal with the definition of artificial intelligence from a technical point of view and I also deal with the most important points of its historical development. Then I analyze artificial intelligence from the perspective of the Czech legal order. First, I do so in connection with private law (specifically with civil law, respectively mainly with copyright) and then with public law (specifically with criminal law). The second chapter aims to introduce the concept of criminal liability as an institute of Czech law. I focus here on the individual components of criminal liability and its legal requirements, but not in an exhaustive way, but only to the extent that it is necessary to fulfill the topic of the thesis and to...

Použití metod hlubokého učení v úlohách zpracování obrazu / Methods of deep learning in image processing tasks

Polášková, Lenka January 2016 (has links)
The clue of learning to recognize objects using neural network lies in imitation of animal neural network's behavior. In spite the details of how brain works is not known yet, the teams consisting of scientists from various medical or technical professions are trying to search for them. Thanks to giants like Geoffrey Hinton science made a big progress in this domain. The convolutional networks which are based on animal model of optical system can be advantageously used for image segmentation and therefore they ware chosen for segmentation of tumor and edema from images of magnetic resonance. The models of artificial neural networks used in this work had achieved the 41\% of success in edema segmentation and 79\% in segmentation of tumor from brain issue.
