The Study of Taiwan¡¦s Economic and Trade Policies to Mainland China in Lee Teng-hui Periods (1988~2000)

Liou, Jing-wei 06 February 2007 (has links)
During Lee Teng-hui¡¦s administration, Lee Teng-hui actually made great influences on Taiwan. After 1988, two sides have entered one changeable pattern, although Taiwan Straits two sides present the estranged state on being interdynamic in every politics of stage. But in the low steps politics , such as the politics of economy and trade, society, culture to demonstrate the atmosphere of the hot twine state. In reviewing a great deal of theories of explaining the trade relationship of two sides, the paper is attempting to analyze the interaction and influence of economic and trade policies of two sides of the Taiwan Straits with western Independence Theory¡BIntegration Theory. However, the paper may involve comparatively sensitive politics in the article. But as we know that it should be unavoidable that a piece of political economy in this country can¡¦t be separated because the political economy is originally an organic whole. As the result of the research, we can find that the two sides during the process of combining split into the interconnected system ' of we and ' alone ' strength, exactly close in politics , has faced alternatives; The degree in non- political fields , such as economy , society , culture , have already moved towards the depth and have been combined. In other words, this paper proposes explaining the situation that how two sides combine with the economy and trade interaction, and it also make systemic arrangement to construct build logical thinking. Finally, we will attempt to find out the formulation of the economic and trade policy in the mainland in the future from the processes and results of studying which playing the part of role and way to make the suggestion and policy in the future!

The Competitive Dynamic Among Projects in Multi-Project Environment : Project Managers' Perception / Den konkurrenskraftiga dynamiken bland projekt i multiprojektmiljö

Bjunö, Susanna January 2023 (has links)
The study explores the project manager’s perception of the competitive dynamic amongst the projects that utilize the same organizational resources in the multi-project context.   The method used is a qualitative research design with an inductive approach where the data corpus was analyzed through thematic analysis. Ten project managers with experience in multi-project environments participated in the study. The analysis resulted in three themes. Theme 1: Competing is outdated and unsavory with the sub-themes No competition, we work together, and Friendly competition for a common goal. This theme reflects the respondents’ perception of the competitive dynamic between the projects. Theme 2: Organization set precedent with the sub-theme Governance of projects shows the respondents’ perception of their work situation with the complex nature of projects. Theme 3: Obstacles are unsolved solutions with the sub-theme Do the best you can with what you got and be a good sport about it; demonstrates the respondents’ attitudes, behavior, and view of their part in the dynamic between the other projects, the project managers, and the rest of the organization. Unexpectedly, the respondents did not appear to agree that there are competing dynamics amongst the projects that utilize the same organizational resources in multi-project organizations. Instead, many respondents were averse to competing and saw it as outdated and problematic for the organization’s success and the work environment. The results show that the respondents prefer cooperation instead of competing and choose to prioritize interpersonal relationships with their fellow project managers instead.

A solution to Moldova's Transdniestrian conflict: regional complex interdependence

Mija, Valeriu 06 1900 (has links)
Approved for public release, distribution is unlimited / Today, political scientists working with international organizations seek to resolve internal conflicts in Bosnia- Herzegovina, Cyprus, and Kashmir. To solve such crises, political scientists have mostly tried to apply domestic comparative politics approaches. These techniques emphasize agreements among internal actors and have not been successful in most cases. In the case of the Transdniestrian conflict in the Republic of Moldova, mediators have found it difficult to achieve internal agreement because external factors also have played a significant role during the conflict. Therefore, even if an internal agreement is achieved, it will remain fragile due to the vulnerable geographic location of the Republic of Moldova and to the limited state capacity to counter influential external actors. For the purpose of solving the Transdniestrian conflict in the long run, this thesis analyzes the possibilities of creating regional complex interdependence around the Republic of Moldova, which would strengthen an internal agreement to resolve the conflict. Regional complex interdependence inter-connects the countries interested in the region around the Republic of Moldova: Romania, the Russian Federation, and Ukraine. This solution presumes external and internal interconnections based on the complex interdependence theory of neo-liberalism. The main potential drawback is that any asymmetrical dependencies in the initial stage of cooperation will imbalance the proposed complex interdependence causing unilateral dependence (most likely on Russia) leading other actors to take countermeasures. In fact, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe as a neutral party has been being a legal umbrella for mediation since all parties consider it an appropriate organization for the negotiations. Nevertheless, creating such an arrangement requires an initial role of the United States of America and the European Union to balance Russian influence until the region becomes interdependent. At that moment, the continuation of the Transdniestrian conflict will become irrelevant because the pre-conditions for conflict will be eliminated. / Major, Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova

Designing Interaction Equivalency in Distance Education

Salamati, Zahra January 2012 (has links)
The fundamental advancement of information technology has given rise to distance education industry hence it has helped to the popularity of distance education among people. However, for employing innovative and advanced tools universities need financial resources. Reaching to these resources is not easy and accessible. Interaction equivalency theorem can be a good solution for overcoming the financial problems but designers are reluctant to utilize it because they think that education quality will decrease due to lack of teacher interaction. This study demonstrated that students’ perception toward interaction equivalency is positive as long as they have high level of interdependency with other students. Without this level of, students are not motivated in order to continue their courses. This study by providing techno-pedagogical design and IS design theory for support of IE helps e-learning practitioners who want to design an acceptable distance educational system with limited financial resources. / Program: Magisterutbildning i informatik
