Majoriteten av alla akademifotbollsspelare i Sverige idag blir nekade ett seniorkontraktoch får därmed söka sig till ett nytt lag. Ett sådant besked är tufft att få, men behöver inte betydaatt eliten inte kan nås genom alternativa vägar utanför eliten. Därav är syftet med denna studie attundersöka svenska herrelitfotbollsspelares karriärupplevelser och resor till elitfotbollen efter attde blivit bortselekterade från seniorkontrakt som juniorer. Denna studie undersökerupplevelserna hos sju manliga fotbollsspelare som idag spelar i Superettan eller Allsvenskan.Genom arbete som bestått av intervjuer och reflexiv tematisk analys har två tematiska kartorutifrån respektive frågeställning tagits fram. Den första kartan hänvisar till tiden från attinformanterna blivit bortselekterade till att de fått sin första kontakt med elitfotbollen ochinnefattar två huvudteman, medan den andra kartan berör tiden från den första kontakten medelitfotbollen och framåt vilket innefattar tre huvudteman. Samtliga övergripande teman följer enkronologisk ordning och redogör bland annat för erfarenheter såsom utmaningar, resurser ochstrategier. Vidare anses fortsatt forskning inom området i form av att studera idrottaresupplevelser av en bortselektering vara av värde. / Today, the majority of all academy football players in Sweden become rejected to receivea senior contract and are thus forced to find a new team. The second one aimed towards the period fromwhen the first contact took place and forward. These overall themes are presented inchronological order and cover experiences as, for example, challenges, resources, and strategies.Lastly, further investigations in the area in terms of studying athletes’ experiences of beingrejected to receive a senior contract, is claimed to of value.

Denna studie undersöker upplevelserna hos sju herrfotbollsspelare som idag spelar i Superettan eller Allsvenskan. Genom arbete som bestått av intervjuer och reflexiv tematisk analys har två stycken tematiska kartor skapats. Den första tematiska kartan hänvisar till den första frågeställningen ”Vilka upplevelser och copingstrategier har elitsatsande juniorfotbollsspelare till att bli bortselekterade under JST och fortsätta sina karriärer utanför elitfotbollen?". Två huvudteman benämns som "Bortselekteringens eftermäle" som följs av tre stycken underteman, och "Den fortsatta fotbollskarriären utanför eliten" med sex stycken underteman. The first map answers the first question ”What experiences and coping strategies does the elite investing junior players have to be deselected during the JST and to continue their carrers outside of elite football? This thesis addresses the ethical implications of NATO securitizing Russia without being in direct warfare,seeking to contribute to the debate of the integration of ethics into IR. This thesis contributes to that argument by integrating ethical dimensions of normative character through Floyd's Just Security Theory (JST) within the framework of social constructivism to develop new theoretical insights. The research is structured around theresearch question exploring how NATO's identity construction undergoes changes due to the tense relationship withRussia. The formation of identity plays a crucial role in threat construction. The findings from Rousseau andGarcia- Retamero's Threat Assessment, revealed through NATO Annual Reports, confirm the fluidity of NATO's identity construction and its designation of Russia as a threat. The second portion of the research question suggestthat attributing a threat status to another actor in the international system has significant ethical implications, necessitating ethical considerations in the securitization process and its influence on security discourse. The thesis findings support the need for ethical considerations, while acknowledging that these considerations aresubject to critique based on the chosen theoretical framework. It emphasizes the need for ethical considerations in the securitization process, and by extension in IR; and argues for the moral justifiability of NATO's securitization of Russia.
