This study research, an ethnographic case study, aims at investigating the relation of the teaching of a teacher educator of the subject course Metodologia de Ensino de Língua Estrangeira - Inglês to the teaching of a student-teacher in the classes of methodology and practicum of a Curso de Letras of a federal university of the interior of the state of Minas Gerais, based on the principles of a sociocultural perspective of second language teacher education, supported by Vygotsky (1978, 1988, 1987, 1986, 1981, 1992, 1990), and by Johnson and Golombek (2016, 2013, 2011, 2011a, 2011b, 2002, 2003), Johnson (2015, 2009) and Golombek (2011, 2015). Therefore, theoretical-practical activities developed during the second semester of 2014 and the first semester of 2015 were observed and monitored. The data were collected from diaries, drawings, audio recordings, interviews, questionnaires, and also from documents (lesson plans) produced by the participant of this research. The analysis of the data, oriented by the concepts of a sociocultural perspective, contributed to the identification and selection in different moments of theoretical-practical observations, the construction, coconstruction, and reconstruction of academic and everyday concepts in the action of the student-teacher in preservice education in relation to the teaching of the teacher educator. These concepts, named academic and everyday concepts (JOHNSON; GOLOMBEK, 2016), are necessary to the student-teacher’s dialogical development, as they are part of a unique process of construction of knowledge (VYGOTSKY, 1978).

(LAKOFF, 1989; KOVECSES & RADDEN, 1999; BARCELONA, 2003). / According to Cognitive Linguistics researchers, metonymy is one of the phenomena serving as the basis for human conceptualization and reveals forms of cognitive functioning (LA-KOFF, 1989, KOVECSES & RADDEN, 1999, BARCELONA, 2003). On the other hand, it is not clarified as far as the delimitation of the concept, because there are different principles in its setting-of. Int his dissertation, the potential of Frame Semantics (FILLMORE, 1982) and FrameNet (RUPPENHOFER ET AL, 2016) in the lexicographical recognization of me-tonymies is emphasized in order to develop a linguistic-computational model for the Multilin-gual Knowledge Base of FrameNet Brazil, the m.knob. This research studies the literature about metonymy in order to validate the existing theory in a practical resource. To achieve this goal, we also explore the cognitive model proposed by Ibãnéz & Masegosa (2014). The authors use the principles of Cognitive Linguistics, including frames and corpora. Our me-thodology includes a metonymic test during the course Oficina Mediada por Computador, held in Faculty of Linguistics and Literature, at Federal University of Juiz de Fora, we also include an analysis of such data via FrameNet Brasil annotation procedures. In conclusion, we have expanded the FrameNet relations between frames and frame elements for m.knob use. Future researchers include the validation of these relations for the generic domain data of FrameNet Brazil.

MODELO DE DADOS DE UMA BASE DE CONHECIMENTO PARA INTERNET EARLY WARNING SYSTEMS / DATA MODEL OF A KNOWLEDGE BASE FOR INTERNET EARLYWARNING SYSTEMS

Petri, Giani 04 March 2013 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The popularization of the Internet has provided an increase in the number of web applications that work with critical information. Parallel to this, attacks that exploit the vulnerabilities of these applications has also grown. This scenario has stimulated companies to invest in tools to monitor their network infrastructure in order to detect malicious activity. One of the main tools used by companies to monitor their network infrastructures and identifying attacks are Intrusion Detection Systems. However, due to expansion of the volume of data in computer networks, these systems are becoming limited. In contrast, researchers have explored the construction of Internet Early Warning Systems to monitor malicious activities on the Internet. This work proposes a data model of a knowledge base for Internet EarlyWarning Systems. The model represents the data of different aspects of the network with a focus on events related to intrusion detection, such as data of alerts generated by intrusion detection systems, information on response measures, traffic statistics and signatures of known attacks. A case study on a real network infrastructure demonstrates the applicability of the data model of knowledge base and identifies the advantages of its use. Furthermore, the data stored in the knowledge base potentializes the construction of situational awareness of monitored environment, directing the activities of the security team and helping in the decision process responses to potential attacks.

Učení business rules z výsledků dolování GUHA asociačních pravidel / Business rule learning using data mining of GUHA association rules

Vojíř, Stanislav January 2012 (has links)
In the currently highly competitive environment, the information systems of the businesses should not only effectively support the existing business processes, but also have to be dynamically adaptable to the changes in the environment. There are increasing efforts at separation of the application and the business logic in the information system. One of the appropriate instruments for this separation is the business rule approach. Business rules are simple, understandable rules. They can be used for the knowledge externalization and sharing also as for the active control and decisions within the business processes. Although the business rule approach is used for almost 20 years, the various specifications and practical applications of business rules are still a goal of the active research. The disadvantage of the business rule approach is great demands on obtaining of the rules. There has to be a domain expert, who is able to manually write them. One of the problems addressed by the current research is the possibility of (semi)automatic acquisition of business rules from the different resources - unstructured documents, historical data etc. This dissertation thesis addresses the problem of acquisition (learning) of business rules from the historical data of the company. The main objective of this thesis is to design and validate a method for (semi)automatic learning of business rules using the data mining of association rules. Association rule are a known data mining method for discovering of interesting relations hidden in the data. Association rules are comprehensible and explainable. The comprehensibility of association rules is suitable for the use of them for learning of business rules. For this purpose the user can use not only simple rules discovered using the algorithm Apriori or FP-Growth, but also more complex association rules discovered using the GUHA method. Within this thesis is used the procedure 4ft-Miner implemented in the data mining system LISp Miner. The first part of this thesis contains the description of the relevant topics from the research of business rules and association rules. Business rules is not a name of one specification of standard but rather a label of the approach to modelling of business logic. As part of the work there is defined a process of selection of the most appropriate specification of business rules for the selected practical use. Consequently, the author proposed three models of involving of data mining of association rules into business rule sets. These models contain also the definition of a model for the transformation of GUHA association rules in the business rules for the system JBoss Drools. For the possibility of learning of business rules using the data mining results from more than one data set, the author proposed a knowledge base. The knowledge base is suitable for the interconnection of business rules and data mining of association rules. From the perspective of business rules the knowledge base is a term dictionary. From the perspective of data mining the knowledge base contains some background knowledge for data preprocessing and preparation of classification models. The proposed models have been validated using practical implementations in the systems EasyMiner (in conjunction with JBoss Drools) and Erian. The thesis contains also a description of two model use cases based on real data from the field of marketing and the field of health insurance.

Doménové znalosti, analytické otázky, systém LISp-Miner a data ADAMEK / Knowledge base, analytical questions, LISp-Mner system and ADAMEK data

Kubín, Richard January 2009 (has links)
The steps associated with the analytical question solving in terms of LISp-Miner system in ADAMEK medical data are the theme of this thesis. The operating sequence of using 4ft-Miner and SD4ft-Miner procedures in ADAMEK data together with the possibility of further use of formalized background knowledge and preparing routing for automatization of the downrighted steps are the objectiv of this thesis. The summary of the basic concepts and axioms of association rules and GUHA method is the content of the theoretical part of the thesis. Operativ part starts from CRISP-DM methodology. The operating sequence enabling searching for interesting association rules in different data, that is applied on STULONG medical data afterwards in order to get instigations for it's revision, is the produce of this thesis. Used data that come from EuroMISE are concern with cardiological patients.

Automatically Detecting the Resonance of Terrorist Movement Frames on the Web

Etudo, Ugochukwu O 01 January 2017 (has links)
The ever-increasing use of the internet by terrorist groups as a platform for the dissemination of radical, violent ideologies is well documented. The internet has, in this way, become a breeding ground for potential lone-wolf terrorists; that is, individuals who commit acts of terror inspired by the ideological rhetoric emitted by terrorist organizations. These individuals are characterized by their lack of formal affiliation with terror organizations, making them difficult to intercept with traditional intelligence techniques. The radicalization of individuals on the internet poses a considerable threat to law enforcement and national security officials. This new medium of radicalization, however, also presents new opportunities for the interdiction of lone wolf terrorism. This dissertation is an account of the development and evaluation of an information technology (IT) framework for detecting potentially radicalized individuals on social media sites and Web fora. Unifying Collective Action Framing Theory (CAFT) and a radicalization model of lone wolf terrorism, this dissertation analyzes a corpus of propaganda documents produced by several, radically different, terror organizations. This analysis provides the building blocks to define a knowledge model of terrorist ideological framing that is implemented as a Semantic Web Ontology. Using several techniques for ontology guided information extraction, the resultant ontology can be accurately processed from textual data sources. This dissertation subsequently defines several techniques that leverage the populated ontological representation for automatically identifying individuals who are potentially radicalized to one or more terrorist ideologies based on their postings on social media and other Web fora. The dissertation also discusses how the ontology can be queried using intuitive structured query languages to infer triggering events in the news. The prototype system is evaluated in the context of classification and is shown to provide state of the art results. The main outputs of this research are (1) an ontological model of terrorist ideologies (2) an information extraction framework capable of identifying and extracting terrorist ideologies from text, (3) a classification methodology for classifying Web content as resonating the ideology of one or more terrorist groups and (4) a methodology for rapidly identifying news content of relevance to one or more terrorist groups.

Rahman, Md Rashedur 17 April 2018 (has links)
Knowledge Base Population (KBP) is an important and challenging task specially when it has to be done automatically. The objective of KBP task is to make a collection of facts of the world. A Knowledge Base (KB) contains different entities, relationships among them and various properties of the entities. Relation extraction (RE) between a pair of entity mentions from text plays a vital role in KBP task. RE is also a challenging task specially for open domain relations. Generally, relations are extracted based on the lexical and syntactical information at the sentence level. However, global information about known entities has not been explored yet for RE task. We propose to extract a graph of entities from the overall corpus and to compute features on this graph that are able to capture some evidence of holding relationships between a pair of entities. In order to evaluate the relevance of the proposed features, we tested them on a task of relation validation which examines the correctness of relations that are extracted by different RE systems. Experimental results show that the proposed features lead to outperforming the state-of-the-art system.
