Sporto teorijos klasikai (Čepulėnas, 1996; Karbolis, 2004; Milašius, 1998; Raslanas, 1998; Skarbalius, 2000; r kt.) vieningai teigia, kad sportininkų rengimo procesas turėtų būti valdomas. Išskiriama daugybė kriterijų, kuriais remiantis gali būti valdomas sportininkų ugdymo procesas. Problema yra ta, kad treneriui reikėtų pasitelkti paprasčiausius ir informatyviausius kriterijus. Šiuo atveju studenčių – krepšininkių rengimo procesą gali būti valdomos, remiantis varžybinės veiklos rodikliais ir testavimo rezultatais. studenčių - krepšininkių regimo procesą galima valdyti atsižvelgiant į varžybinės veiklos ir testavimo rezultatus. Darbo tikslas – ištirti Šiaulių universiteto krepšininkių ugdymo proceso valdymo ypatumus siejant juos su varžybinės veiklos ir parengtumo rezultatais. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Išanalizuoti sportininkų ugdymo proceso valdymo teorines prielaidas, ypatumus. 2. Ištirti studenčių - krepšininkių etapinio valdymo galimybes pasitelkiant varžybinės veiklos ir fizinio parengtumo rodiklius. 3. Nustatyti esminius (efektyviausius) kriterijus studenčių - krepšininkių rengimo proceso valdymui (metodinės rekomendacijos).
