Cestovní ruch a kultura, hlavní konkurenční výhody České republiky

Práce zdůrazňuje vzájemný vztah cestovního ruchu a kultury, jejich význam pro společnost a ekonomiku ČR. Na základě srovnání s dalšími zeměmi EU vyplývá, že Česká republika má významný potenciál, aby stavěla svou konkurenční výhodu na kultuře a cestovním ruchu. Práce vysvětluje metodiku kvantifikace ekonomických přínosů obou odvětví, včetně multiplikačních efektů. Zvyšování konkurenceschopnosti ČR jako turistické destinace zajišťuje státní agentura CzechTourism, v oblasti kultury však neexistuje systematická koncepce propagace v zahraničí. Kromě větší finanční podpory obou sektorů by měla vláda klást důraz na spolupráci Ministerstva kultury a Ministerstva pro místní rozvoj ČR, ale i dalších institucí na všech úrovních veřejné správy.

This thesis deals with relationships of culture and media which are used by people of definite culture. In the research there is the most widespread media of present. It includes newspaper, radio, television and internet. The culture is assessed from the viewpoint of Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory. In this theory there are five dimensions which are Power distance, Individualism, Uncertainty avoidance, Masculinity, and Long Term Orientation. The methods, which were used for results, were chi-square and Pearson's adjusted residuals. The researched dates of quanti-tative research originate in Mindreader project of the company Mindshare which was taking place in year 2012.

Kulturní aspekty mezinárodní marketingové komunikace společností L'Oréal a Oriflame / Cultural aspects of international marketing communications companies L'Oréal and Oriflame

This thesis is focused on cultural differences and their influence on the usage of marketing tools of specific companies in various markets. The thesis evaluates the effect of the cultural environment on companies' communications with consumers. There are analyzed American, Indian and Chinese websites of cosmetics company L'Oréal and websites of selected brands of consumer cosmetics that come under L'Oréal. In the second part the German, Indian and Chinese catalogues of cosmetics company Oriflame are analyzed. Analysis of selected marketing tools of both companies is mainly based on findings of Geert Hofstede and the studies that follow-up his work and also on findings of Edward. T. Hall. The analysis revealed that both companies have shortages in the adaptation of usage of marketing tools in different cultural environment. Therefore, a proposal of conception that could help to eliminate the shortages and provide a better adaptation of marketing tools in different cultural environment was recommended.

The theoretical part focuses on financing options from theatres from public sources. It deals with resources from the budget of Municipality of the City of Prague, as well as the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. This list is then transferred to the practical part, which deals with the use of these options in Prague's Archa Theatre, which has long maintained the highest rating among theatres in Prague and top position among alternative theatres in the country. The work does not aim to assess the effectiveness of the current grant system or criticize the system of financing culture in the country. The aim is to create a list of potential funding sources for a theatre from public budgets and assess the effectiveness of the acquisition of these resources to the Archa Theatre. The work also deals with the management of Archa compared with the Municipal Theatre Jablonec nad Nisou.

The main subject of applied research is analysis of the individual elements of organizational culture, among which special attention is paid to issues of leadership style and leadership in general. This to be always in the context of appropriate organizational culture with all its features. The first part deals with the theoretical definition of basic concepts and prepares the basis for an analysis of the main aspects of both environments from the perspective of individual components cultures with an emphasis on leadership, as such. The objective is to describe the main differences from both studied environmenta and derive recommendations for executives from non-profit as well as business organizations.

This part is followed by practical part which is based on specific information obtained from the annual reports and the management of mikroregion. Thesis is supplemented by interviews with mayors.

The aim is to demonstrate the connection between tourism and culture as well as highlight their link to economic and social spheres. Another objective is to confirm or disprove the following two hypotheses. Hypothesis 1- Cultural product is the main motivating component to participate in tourism. Hypothesis 2- Cultural product develops potential of tourism. Objectives and hypotheses were evidence by research, statistical data, strategic document, internet sources and consultations with experts. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The practical part is focused on the cultural product in Hořice, where the situation of cultural tourism is mapped. The hypothesis were confirmed by practical example of cultural product in Hořice and through expert knowledge of research and literature and statistics.

The priority of this study is to map the cultural and creative industries in the Pilsen region and the city of Pilsen and evaluation of the effectiveness and impact of the project Pilsen 2015-European Capital of Culture for the development of the region. Based on the results of the analytical investigation is assessed potential of culture and creativity in the development of the Pilsen region and the city of Pilsen.

Zdrojová soběstačnost NNO v kultuře / Financial self-sufficiency of cultural non-profit organisations

The diploma thesis deals with financial self-sufficiency of non-profit and non-governmental organisations operating in the cultural sector. The theoretical part describes all methods of financing. Emphasis is placed on the cooperation with donors and on fundraising through social networks. To make the comparison of financing easier, different legal forms of non-profit organisations with examples are mentioned. The practical part of the thesis presents five different Czech cultural non-profit organizations. The structures of their financial resources are described, financial analyses are performed, and the percentages of self-sufficiency are determined. The analyses show that none of the organizations is self-sufficient. The thesis presents recommendations on how to increase the percentage of self-sufficiency. The thesis explores importance of the crowdfunding in the Czech republic and describes the cooperation with donors in observed organisations.
