Balcarová, Zdeňka January 2013 (has links)
The thesis analyses heuristically the ideas of the Russian philosopher Vladimir Solomonovich Bibler (1918-2000), who belongs to the continuers of Mikhail Mikhailovich Bakhtin's philosophical school. Bibler's work is unknown in our country. In his thoughts, Bibler came to the statement we are now at the new beginning of philosophy and thinking, at the time of different present and past cultures meeting. These cultures are in mutual dialogue transforming their meanings. On the basis of Bibler's thoughts, the School of Dialogue of Cultures was created in Russia. Its aim is to prepare a man of culture who himself is able to be active in the dialogue of cultures. Individual classes of this school copy the historical sequence of cultures (the classical age, the medieval age, the modern age, and the present age). The School has been proven experimentally with success.

Machancová, Věra January 2013 (has links)
The present thesis "Religious literacy" describes the parish of Kyje and Černý Most first. Then it deals with the concept of literacy itself - starting from the basic ability to read and write, proceeding on to the importance of education in a number of spheres, and finally resulting in such competences that enable people an independent existence within the human society. The thesis then proceeds to focus on individual kinds of literacy and on the relationship between cultural literacy and education. The following part of the thesis is focused on religious literacy itself. Knowledge of other, non-Christian religions, is helpful in this respect. The thesis defines the subject matter and analyzes the circumstances which influence the development of religious literacy, namely from the viewpoint of universal principles of faith and from that of basic terms connected with the sacraments. The development of religious literacy can best be stimulated within the particular family and by an active parish community. The thesis then looks in particular at the development of religious literacy in the parish of Kyje and Černý Most. The core of the thesis is the general view of the parish and the way its religious literacy is intensified there. The religious and cultural literacy has been evaluated from a survey...

Herderova filosofie kultury. Herder a německé osvícenství / Herder's philosophy of culture. Herder and the German Enlightenment

Bojda, Martin January 2015 (has links)
This paper tries to provide an interpretation of the concept of culture in the work of one of German Enlightenment's most versatile personalities: Johann Gottfried Herder. The emphasis will be placed on this concept within the framework of a new interpretation of the historicity and essence of language as a medium of knowledge, understanding and communication, leading towards an examination of Herder's contribution to the philosophy of language and processuality as the basis of a project of an universal, but immanently historical anthropology. Furthermore, we will introduce Herder's integration of the enlightened rationality and classical metaphysics as expressed in his aesthetics and poetry. We also will reconstruct the foundations and future influence of Herder's linking of universalist humanism with the new awareness of the national and social determination of being. Namely, being as something actively and freely appropriated in an integrated manner that is however not arbitrary. Key words: Herder, Enlightenment, culture, philosophy of language

Antonín Kudláč Czech Popular Fantastic Arts 1990 - 2012 in Cultural, Social and Literary Contexts The dissertation focuses on the exploration of popular fantastic arts in the Czech environment between 1990 and 2012. Popular fantastic arts are defined as a segment of popular culture, which uses fantastic motifs and finds expression in various art forms and media (literature, film and television programs, visual arts, games, etc.). Popular fantastic literature (science fiction, fantasy, horror) is used as the basic medium for research in this area. For defining and understanding the nature of popular fantastic arts, its recipients (the so-called fans), who form a distinctive subculture called the fandom, are of extreme importance. This dissertation, bordering on interdisciplinary cultural anthropology, sociology, literary criticism and media studies, is based on the hypothesis of an active and creative approach of the recipients of popular culture, who endow these cultural artifacts with their own meanings, share them and use them for their own interests. VOLENÍKOVÁ, Kateřina January 2014 (has links)
Current status: The issue of medical errors has recently gotten considerable attention among organizations at the global and national levels. In its report the Institute of Medicine recommended the development of a safety culture where employees want to provide the safest health care. Assessing the current culture of safety is the first stage in the development of patient safety. Subject: The main purpose of the research was "to evaluate the safety culture in select hospitals." Method: A standardized method was chosen for the research: The AHRQ Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture. A quantitative method was implemented using polling. Obtained data were tested in SPSS version 16.0. For statistical testing Person's chi-square and sign scheme was elected. Research group: The research survey addressed 301 non-medical staff of Krajské zdravotní a.s. Masarykova nemocnice, o. z. (Regional Health a.s. Masaryk Hospital) in Ústí nad Labem and Krajské nemocnici Liberec, a.s. (Liberec Regional Hospital) Results: The survey results showed that the surveyed health care professionals assess the organizational culture as friendly. The respondents indicated that they are praised by the manager for conducting their work safely and that they can suggest changes in management practices. The results showed that addressed health care professionals support each other (58.1%) and cooperate better (72.4%). According to the respondents, better teamwork leads to better patient safety. An analysis of the results shows that health professionals have an active approach to safe care (82.7%) and in their opinion, errors and mistakes lead to improved patient safety (40.9%). Paramedics have confirmed that they receive feedback on reported incidents (37.9%). Based on team discussion about errors the respondents' evaluation of patient safety has significantly improved. An analysis of respondents' answers revealed a lack of reporting of adverse events. Most respondents consider the number of staff in the workplace deficient (42.5%). Conclusion: Hospital management should be involved in changing the detection of individual errors from individual to systemic. In order to improve the safety culture there should be regular supervision or teambuilding activities that support the development of teamwork. Feedback on the results of reporting errors must be given in an appropriate way to motivate staff to continue to report future errors. The results require a change in how medical staff report errors and greater consistency among management when checking reports. Complaints of work overload by medical personnel must be taken seriously. Improvements can be brought about by changes to work organization or the use of temporary workers.
