The aim of my thesis is to analyze the scattered vegetation in the two specific areas with different protection of landscape . It was chosen cadastral Zachotín and Škrdlovice, which is in protected landscape area Žďárské Vrchy. Field survey has been detected current state of the scattered vegetation and was made into plotting maps. This work was carried out in an ArcMap 10. Subsequently, both states scattered vegetation evaluated and compared . An integral part of the work is also a proposal planting and additions scattered vegetation in both cadastral areas .

The aim of this thesis is drafting of landscaping in the chosen location. The chosen location of this thesis is municipality Měňany, which lies in the Central Bohemian Region, in the former district Beroun. The literature research is focused on the landscaping and clearly explains the basic concepts and fundamental information about landscaping. The subject of the research was primarily measures for protecting and improving the environment, measures to make the land available, water management measures and measures for protection against erosion. This thesis deals with a list of claims for three selected owners and with new draft of the landscaping. Furthermore, the research discusses about municipality Měňany for which is created the characterization of the area and analysis of the municipality. The conclusion of this thesis was to evaluate the existing environment and propose solution, which should improve the overall situation, both for citizens and for nature and leads to the elimination of deficiencies.

The first part deals with the theory of erosion, especially the water erosion, antierosion precaution and landscaping. The second part deals with practical calculation of water erosion using the Wischmeier-Smith equation. In case of exceeding the maximum annual soil loss, proper antierosion precaution is proposed.

The landscape today is the greatest area of conceptual and formal trials involving the field of architecture. In the last decades of the twentieth and early twenty-first century, attended to the more radical proposals for landscape design in creating outdoor environments at all scales. These changes aim to create a new nature, closer to humans, more suitable for scale and contemporary taste. From the 1980s, the landscape design have become more extensive and took more freedom with regard to the concepts and strategies for projecting. The aim of this paper is to discuss the theoretical foundations of contemporary landscape and their effects on design strategies applicants in a recent study of Brazilian landscape. The methodology was chosen: (i) a research literature review of historical character, this investigates the influences of the modern landscape in contemporary new designs in the international arena, and Brazil, there is the influence of architecture concepts on the contemporary landscape and address the aspects and disciplines working closely together in the design of contemporary landscape design, which are the functional aspect - related to urban design, the aesthetic - relating to art and architecture and contemporary aspect Environment - related to environmental comfort and concern about global warming and environmental sustainability, (ii) analysis in three areas (functional, aesthetic and environmental) of eight squares - two squares in four Brazilian cities: Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, in the southeast, and Recife and Maceio, in northeastern Brazil. Although there is a difference provided by the history and heritage of each region, contemporary designs have a unit with regard to the creation of artificial environments, with great influence of architecture which are more consistent with the formalism, technology, entrepreneurship and contemporary poetry. This paper aims to contribute to the formation of clearer thinking about the fundamentals of landscaping and a professional practice less stereotyped, avoiding projects based on mere formality. / Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de Alagoas / O paisagismo atualmente se constitui na maior área de experimentações conceituais e formais que envolvem o campo da arquitetura. Nas últimas décadas do século XX e início do século XXI, assistiram-se as mais radicais propostas de desenho da paisagem na criação de ambientes exteriores em todas as escalas. Estas transformações visam à criação de uma nova natureza, mais próxima do ser humano, mais adequada a sua escala e ao gosto contemporâneo. A partir da década de 1980, os projetos de paisagismo passaram a ser mais abrangentes e tomaram maior liberdade no que diz respeito aos conceitos e estratégias projetuais. O objetivo deste trabalho é discutir os fundamentos teóricos do paisagismo contemporâneo e o seu rebatimento em estratégias de projeto recorrentes no trabalho recente dos paisagistas brasileiros. Como metodologia, optou-se por: (i) uma pesquisa de revisão de literatura de caráter histórico, nesta investiga-se as influências do paisagismo moderno nas novas concepções contemporâneas no cenário internacional e no Brasil, verifica-se a influência dos conceitos da arquitetura contemporânea sobre o paisagismo e abordam-se os aspectos e as disciplinas que atuam de maneira conjunta na concepção dos projetos de paisagismo contemporâneos, que são: o aspecto funcional - relacionado ao desenho urbano, o aspecto estético - relacionado à arte e a arquitetura contemporânea e o aspecto ambiental - relacionado ao conforto ambiental e à preocupação com o aquecimento global e a sustentabilidade ambiental; (ii) análise, sob três aspectos (funcional, estético e ambiental) de oito praças - duas praças em quatro capitais brasileiras: São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro, na região sudeste; e Recife e Maceió, na região nordeste. Embora haja uma diferença propiciada pela história e herança cultural de cada região, os projetos contemporâneos apresentam uma unidade no que diz respeito à criação de ambientes artificiais, com grande influência da arquitetura, que sejam mais coerentes com o formalismo, a tecnologia, o espírito e a poesia contemporânea. Este trabalho visa contribuir para a formação de um pensamento mais claro sobre os fundamentos do paisagismo e para uma prática profissional menos estereotipada, evitando-se projetos baseados em simples formalismo.

The aim of my thesis is to analyze the scattered vegetation in specific area. It was chosen cadastral Drahotěšice. Field survey to identify the actual state of scattered vegetation in the area and then processed to map plotting. It was used ArcMap 10 for historical status of the green in 1952. They were first georeferencing monochrome aerial photographs and then digitized scattered vegetation. The historical status of the territories was compared to the contemporary elements green. In conclusion it was suggested, how could be the results of the historical and current status of the plan to use the common facilities for comprehensive landscaping.

Modeling Soil Moisture Dynamics of Landscape Irrigation in Desert Cities

abstract: The history of outdoor water use in the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area has given rise to a general landscape aesthetic and pattern of residential irrigation that seem in discord with the natural desert environment. While xeric landscaping that incorporates native desert ecology has potential for reducing urban irrigation demand, there are societal and environmental factors that make mesic landscaping, including shade trees and grass lawns, a common choice for residential yards. In either case, there is potential for water savings through irrigation schedules based on fluxes affecting soil moisture in the active plant rooting zone. In this thesis, a point-scale model of soil moisture dynamics was applied to two urban sites in the Phoenix area: one with xeric landscaping, and one with mesic. The model was calibrated to observed soil moisture data from irrigated and non-irrigated sensors, with local daily precipitation and potential evapotranspiration records as model forcing. Simulations were then conducted to investigate effects of irrigation scheduling, plant stress parameters, and precipitation variability on soil moisture dynamics, water balance partitioning, and plant water stress. Results indicated a substantial difference in soil water storage capacity at the two sites, which affected sensitivity to irrigation scenarios. Seasonal variation was critical in avoiding unproductive water losses at the xeric site, and allowed for small water savings at the mesic site by maintaining mild levels of plant stress. The model was also used to determine minimum annual irrigation required to achieve specified levels of plant stress at each site using long-term meteorological records. While the xeric site showed greater potential for water savings, a bimodal schedule consisting of low winter and summer irrigation was identified as a means to conserve water at both sites, with moderate levels of plant water stress. For lower stress levels, potential water savings were found by fixing irrigation depth and seasonally varying the irrigation interval, consistent with municipal recommendations in the Phoenix metropolitan area. These results provide a deeper understanding of the ecohydrologic differences between the two types of landscape treatments, and can assist water and landscape managers in identifying opportunities for water savings in desert urban areas. / Dissertation/Thesis / M.S. A perda de benefícios ecológicos causada com o crescimento das cidades pode ser amenizada com o uso de tecnologias alternativas de infraestrutura e reinserção devegetação nativa em espaços urbanizados. Neste contexto, este trabalho busca realizar um anteprojeto de reconfiguração paisagística contemplando a reinserção de espécies vegetais nativas e implantação de tipologias de infraestrutura verde, ambos com a função de amenizar o impacto da urbanização e auxiliar o equilíbrio ambiental e harmonização paisagística do espaço. A área definida para o projeto encontra-se no campus da Universidade de Caxias do Sul (UCS), limitando-se aos lagos e seus entornos. Os procedimentos adotados envolveram análise documental, legal e normativa, levantamento situacional da área de estudo, elencando espécies vegetais existentes no espaço e problemas na infraestrutura existente, desenho de croquis sugestivos com alternativas de projeto, submissão para avaliação dos gestores da Universidade e, finalmente um anteprojeto de reestruturação paisagística e de infraestrutura verde para a área de estudo. / The loss of ecological benefits caused by the growth of cities can be mitigated by the use of alternative infrastructure technologies and the reintroduction of native vegetation into urbanized areas. In this context, this work seeks to carry out a preliminary project of landscape reconfiguration contemplating the reinsertion of native plant species and the implantation of typologies of green infrastructure, both with the function of mitigating the impact of urbanization and helping the environmental balance and landscape harmonization of the space. The area defined for the project is located on the campus of the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS), limited to lakes and their environments. The procedures adopted involved documentary, legal and normative analysis, situational survey of the study area, listing existing plant species in space and problems in existing infrastructure, design of suggestive sketches with design alternatives, submission for evaluation of University managers and, finally, project of landscape restructuring and green infrastructure for the study area.

Os LC foram utilizados no pós-tratamento de efluentes de esgoto doméstico pós reatores anaeróbios compartimentados (RAC) utilizando plantas ornamentais: Hedychium coronarium; Heliconia psittacorum; Cyperus alternifolius e Colocasia esculenta. O monitoramento da água foi realizado a partir da avaliação da quantidade e qualidade. Os parâmetros para a avaliação da quantidade da água foram: volume, vazão, tempo de detenção hidráulica (TDH) e evaporação/evapotranspiração e para a qualidade da água foram: concentração, carga e eficiência de retenção para o fósforo total (PT), o nitrato (NO3-), o nitrogênio amoniacal (NH3) e a demanda química de oxigênio (DQO). Além da concentração de oxigênio dissolvido (OD), pH, condutividade elétrica (CE) e temperatura da água. O monitoramento da vegetação, foi realizada a partir do índice de área foliar (IAF), altura e densidade das plantas. A determinação da exportação dos nutrientes foi realizada após a poda com a pesagem total da biomassa verde e seca para cada LC e análise foliar. A vazão afluente dos LC variou de 0,9 a 1,0 m3/dia, resultando num TDH médio de 1,25 dias. A concentração afluente dos LC de PT, NO3-, NH3 e DQO foram em média 3,5 mg/L, 1,7 mg/L, 36,7 mg/L e 92,7 mg/L, respectivamente. A eficiência média de retenção para a massa de PT, NO3-, NH3 e DQO, entre os quatro LC foi de 6,4%, 18,3%, 6,4%, 26,1%, respectivamente. A remoção /exportação média de nutrientes entre todos os LC foi de 14,4g/m2 para o nitrogênio e de fósforo foi de 2,9g/m2. Dentre os parâmetros analisados para a eficiência de retenção e exportação de nutrientes o LC com Heliconia psittacorum mostrou-se mais eficiente. Concluiu-se que os LC vegetados com plantas ornamentais mostraram potencial favorável na complementação do tratamento de efluentes domésticos, em especial na retenção de nutrientes e matéria orgânica. A utilização das plantas ornamentais também contribuiu para a composição paisagística, transformando o local num "jardim alagado" / Abstract: This study evaluated the ability of constructed wetlands (CW) with ornamental plants to retain /export nutrients as nitrogen and phosphorus. The CW were used in the domestic sewage posttreatment effluent after anaerobic baffled reactor (ABR) using the macrophytes as Hedychium coronarium, Heliconia psittacorum, Cyperus alternifolius and Colocasia esculenta. The analysis methods consisted in monitoring water quantity and quality as well as vegetation indicators. Volume, flow, hydraulic retention time (HRT) and evapotranspiration were used as water quantity parameters. Concentration, charge and retention efficiency for total phosphorus (TP), the Nitrate (NO³-), the ammonia (NH³) and chemical oxygen demand (BOD) as well as the dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, electrical conductivity (EC) and water temperature were used as water quality indicators. Leaf area index (LAI), height and density of plants were used as vegetation indicators. The nutrients export was determined after the plants pruning using leaf analysis and the weigth of fresh and dry total biomass for each CW. The CW influent flow ranged from 0,9 to 1,0 m³/day, resulting in an average HRT of 1,25 days. The CW influent concentration of PT, NO³-, NH³ and COD were on average 3,5 mg/L, 1,7 mg/L, 36,7 mg/L and 92,7 mg/L, respectively. The average mass retention efficiency of PT, NO³-, NH³ and COD among the four CW was 6,4%, 18,3%, 6,4%, 26,1%, respectively. Average nutrient removal/export among all CW was 14,4 g/m² for nitrogen and 2,9 g/m² for phosphorus. The results showed that the Heliconia psittacorum CW was more efficient in the retention efficiency and nutrient export. The conclusion of this study is that CW vegetated with ornamental plants exhibit a good potential for wastewater treatment particularly the retention of nutrients and organic matter. Atualmente, o setor ferroviário em operação é constituído por seis Linhas, com 84 estações, das quais 24 possuem praças. A partir da criação de uma matriz composta por dados obtidos em visitas preliminares, foram então selecionados oito casos - Osasco, Franco da Rocha, Ferraz de Vasconcelos, Júlio Prestes, Ribeirão Pires, Lapa, José Bonifácio e Engenheiro Manoel Feio. A avaliação funcional das praças foi realizada por meio de levantamentos de campo sistemáticos, observação dos aspectos comportamentais e eventuais entrevistas com usuários. Nessa avaliação foram considerados os seguintes fatores: contexto em que se situa a praça, incluindo tecido urbano e entorno físico imediato; análise morfológica, com a identificação dos principais elementos de estruturação do espaço e a observação dos usos e usuários. Assim, por meio da identificação dos elementos que compõem o desenho dessas praças, bem como da verificação de seus aspectos funcionais, foi possível conhecer suas condições atuais, tanto no âmbito físico quanto social, e identificar quais os elementos essenciais em termos de configuração espacial. Concluiu-se que as estações ferroviárias sempre denotarão uma identidade diferenciada às praças a elas associadas, fato este que deverá ser considerado em futuros projetos de áreas livres públicas dessa natureza. / Abstract: The objective of this research is to deepen the reflection and the discussion on the diverse forms of insertion in the city of squares associates to metropolitans trains stations, managed for the Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM), and its importance as element of urban requalification. Currently, the railroad sector in operation is constituted by six Lines, with 84 stations, of which 24 have squares. For this study, eight cases were selected - Osasco, Franco da Rocha, Ferraz de Vasconcelos, Júlio Prestes, Ribeirão Pires, Lapa, José Bonifácio and Engenheiro Manoel Feio - from the creation of a database composed for the data gotten in the preliminary field researches. The functional evaluation was accomplished through systematic surveys of the squares, observation of the behavior aspects and eventual interviews with users.In this evaluation the following factors were considered: context where the square is located, including the urban mesh and the environment; morphologic analysis, with the identification of the main elements of the space structure and observation of the uses and users. Thus, by means of the identification of the elements that composes the drawing of these squares, as well as the verification of its functional aspects, was possible to know its current conditions, both in social and physical aspects, and to identify the most important elements in the space configuration.
