Yes / In March, the Department of Health (DH) released the Learning from Mistakes League, in which NHS organisations are ranked by levels of openness and transparency (DH, 2016). While a welcome first step toward the centralised and open promotion of learning since the publication of the Francis and Berwick reports three years earlier, unfortunately, the league can be considered misleading for a number of reasons.

The purpose of the present thesis, is to trace the development of the idea of world organization to secure world peace. An endeavor is made to give a brief survey of the best known peace plans of history with a critical evaluation of the contribution of each to the ideas embodied in the League of Nations and the United Nations.

The investigator made a critical study to determine the relationship of the success of football teams from ten class "A" football districts of the University Interscholastic League with the financial status and enrollment from 1946 through 1948.

We start by dissolving the game LoL, how it occurs, how it was in its initial form, how to put the philosophy of work of its developer studio and then we go to the description of the game in its technical and playful aspects. In the sequel we delve into the discussion of heuristics, identity & aesthetics in digital games, where we have developed on top of researched authors, especially the texts of Brenda Laurel, Sherry Turkle and James Paul Gee acquiring a basis for the heuristic evaluation of the character. Next, we focus on the contextualization of the character who came to be evaluated, the champion Xerath, his birth, his involvement with the author and his status before and after the reworking. In its final part, this research retakes the discussed points and applies the heuristic evaluation in the changes that occurred in the character, after that, the process of extrapolation of the work begins and final considerations / A presente dissertação de mestrado teve como seu objetivo uma pesquisa sobre o jogo League of Legends, explorando suas filosofias de design para identificar e discutir dentro do tema heurísticas no design de games, utilizando-se como base a avaliação heurística do Retrabalhamento de uma de suas personagens, o Campeão Xerath. Partimos por uma dissecção do jogo LoL, como ocorre seu surgimento, como era em sua forma inicial, como se coloca a filosofia de trabalho de seu estúdio desenvolvedor e depois partimos para a descrição do jogo em seus aspectos técnicos e lúdicos. Em sequência nos aprofundamos na discussão sobre heurísticas, identidade & estética nos jogos digitais, onde desenvolvemos em cima de autores pesquisados, principalmente os textos de Brenda Laurel, Sherry Turkle e James Paul Gee adquirindo uma base para a avaliação heurística da personagem. Em seguida nos dedicamos a contextualização da personagem que veio ser avaliada, o Campeão Xerath, o seu nascimento, o seu envolvimento com o autor e seu estado antes e após o seu Retrabalhamento. Em sua parte final, essa pesquisa retoma os pontos discutidos e aplica a avaliação heurística nas mudanças que ocorreram na personagem, após isso, se inicia o processo de extrapolação do trabalho e considerações finais

<p>Den Svenska Basketligan är en av få europeiska nationella ligor (oavsett sport) som tillämpar det stängda seriesystemet inom lagidrott. Sedan säsongen 92/93 har den högsta svenska ligan i basket varit stängd och upp- och nedflyttning har vilat på framförallt ekonomiska skäl, och inte sportsliga. Detta är väldigt ovanligt i Europa och i akademisk litteratur görs en tydlig uppdelning mellan europeisk och amerikansk idrottsstruktur. En faktor som bidrar till att göra ligans karaktär stängd är att mästarlagen och övriga topplags deltaganden i europeiska och regionala sammanhang är oregelbundna.</p><p>I uppsatsen tillämpas ett systemteoretiskt perspektiv som grund och teorier om konkurrens och kompetensutveckling används som stödteorier. 5 spelare, varav 3 med internationell erfarenhet,2 coacher samt en basketfokuserad skribent ger i uppsatsen deras synpunkter på hur ligans struktur påverkar deras och ligans internationella konkurrenskraft.</p><p>Studiens resultat pekar på att det finns stora möjligheter till en förbättrad internationell konkurrenskraft, men att det krävs förändringar i strukturen och synen på vad basketligan har för syfte.</p> / <p>The Swedish Basketball League is one of few European national leagues (regardless of sport)that have a closed league structure in team sports. Since the 92/93 season, the highest Swedish league in basketball has been closed and the promotion and relegation has rested primarily on economic grounds, and not results. This is very rare in Europe and in academic literature a clear distinction is made between European and American sports structure. One factor that contributes to the closed nature of the league is that the champion- and other top team's participation in European and regional context is irregular. The paper applies a systems theory perspective and theories of competition and competence building are used as supporting theories. Five players, including three with international experience, two coaches and a basketball-focused chronicler give their views on how the league's structure affects their, and therefore the leagues international competitiveness. The study results indicate that there is a high potential for improved international competitiveness, but that change is needed in the structure and perception of what the Swedish basketball league has for purpose.</p>

Background The Swedish Association of local authorities and regions in collaboration with the national board of health and welfare produces the yearly “Swedish Health Care Report” in order to provide evaluations of the hospitals and counties in Sweden for both the politicians and the general public. Method We describe several standard methods which have been used to present the performance of each hospital or county: Forest plot (FL), League Table (LT), League Plot (LP) and Funnel Plot (FP). Using simulation technique to produce the League Plot of rank is also presented in order to illustrate the unreliable of the ranking principle. Results The league plot with confidence interval is easily understood by people, but it should provide the total number of operations (sample size) as well. The resulting multiple-indicators system gives a clear overview of the whole system, but the cut-off points used in the traffic light method is not the best choice. Several possible improved methodologies are: A league plot traffic light method and a standard funnel plot traffic light method is recommended when aiming at finding the outliers; A p=0.67 funnel plot traffic light method is suggested when wishing to divide the units into approximately equally large groups; A one-side traffic light method seems to be a wonderful choice when focusing on the bad performance units.

The aim of this study was to explore how match-related statistics contribute to winning association football matches. This is relevant for stakeholders in the football industry to facilitate the understanding of what factors contribute to winning matches and can thus be of use when formulating match tactics. A model was constructed through the use of binary logistic regression, where winning/not winning was used as the response variable and standardized match-related statistics were used as predictor variables. Using the acquired coefficients, it was concluded that, among other variables, the home advantage and the ability of a team to finish on target has a strong correlation with winninggames. Further, the study explores the impact of a team’s ability to win football games on the financial landscape of the modern football world. The results show that some of the examined statistics are well correlated to winning a match, but that the tactical useability of these insights is low. / Syftet med denna studie var att utforska hur matchrelaterad statistik bidrar till att vinna fotbollsmatcher. Detta är relevant för aktörer inom fotbollsbranchen för att underlätta försåelsen av vilka matchrelaterade faktorer som bidrar till vinst och kan således användas för att forma matchtaktik. En modell konstruerades genom binär logistisk regression, där att vinna/att inte vinna användes som responsvariabel och standardiserad matchrelaterad statistik användes som prediktorvariabel. Genom att använda koefficienterna tillhörande modellen,kan man fastslå att bland annat hemmalagsfördel samt ett lags förmåga att träffa mål korrelerar starkt med att vinna matcher. Dessutom utforskar studien påverkan av ett lags förmåga att vinna fotbollsmatcher på det finansiella landskapet tillhörande den moderna fotbollen. Resultaten visar att vissa av de studerade variablerna korrelerar starkt med att vinna fotbollsmatcher, men attmöjligheterna att använda dessa insikter till att forma taktik är begränsade.
