The concept of leisure education has been in use in Czech and Slovak environment since 1990 as a new label for after-class education. Leisure education is perceived as a branch of education involved in valorizing the leisure time of children and young adults. No Czech or Slovak publication has so far provided its complex classification or an overview of its origin, development, aims, approaches and overall practical use. The aim of the paper is to provide an overview of perception and understanding of leisure time in the works of selected Czech and Slovak authors in the last 20 years. The authors? conceptions of leisure education are confronted with one another with the aim to grasp the main developmental tendencies, forms and current aspirations of leisure education. The paper deals with the various definitions of the concept of leisure education and related concepts. The paper approaches the concept of leisure education from the viewpoint of its position within the classification of educational sciences, from the historical point of view and from the points of view of the individual authors and university subjects.

This diploma thesis deals with chemistry and science after school clubs, which are held in schools or in official public organization called "leisure education centres". Chemistry after school clubs, play an important role in motivating pupils to further study chemistry, enabling them to carry out more experiments, acquiring practical skills, and applying theoretical knowledge. Last but not least, chemistry after school clubs help pupils to spend their leisure time meaningfully. This thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the importance of leisure time, motivation for education legal basis for leisure education and other topics related to chemical interest groups. The practical part contains the results and analysis of the questionnaire survey, which was realized mainly among the chemistry teachers. The results of the survey show that the chemistry clubs are mostly focused on the realization of the experiments and the dissemination of the curriculum. And the pupils themselves are primarily interested in establishing of clubs. Most after school clubs aren't organized in leisure education centre. For this reason, they can't use state funding for the clubs, which are organized in leisure education centre.

O objetivo consistiu em perceber de que forma as contribuições da Educação Física Escolar, em relação a uma educação para o lazer, estavam e/ou poderiam estar presentes nos entendimentos e/ou nos relatos das práticas pedagógicas de professores de Educação Física. Diante de sua perspectiva qualitativa, esta pesquisa baseou-se no referencial teórico da pesquisa-ação. Este enfoque metodológico permitiu-nos intervir junto a um grupo de quatro professores de Educação Física, atuantes em escolas públicas e particulares do município de Rio Claro, através da realização de oito encontros coletivos. Após um período de aproximadamente um mês do último encontro com os professores, realizamos uma entrevista individual com os participantes. A análise dos encontros levou-nos a concluir que existem quatro contribuições educativas implícitas e explícitas nas reflexões e nos relatos das ações dos professores investigados, sintetizadas nas seguintes categorias: o espaço escolar e a organização das aulas; concepção de Escola e de Educação Física Escolar; conteúdos da Educação Física Escolar e formação de atitudes; práticas pedagógicas da Educação Física Escolar explícitas para uma educação para o lazer. As entrevistas finais mostraram que as relações Educação Física Escolar e a educação para o lazer, proporcionadas durante os encontros, possibilitaram construções e ampliações de conhecimentos, refletindo nas aulas de Educação Física, em possíveis contribuições para as vivências de lazer dos alunos fora da escola. Além disso, destacamos outros tipos de repercussões enfatizadas pelos professores, relacionadas à satisfação de participarem da pesquisa, que possibilitaram conhecer pessoas... The objective consisted to realize if the Physical Education teacher's understandings and/or pedagogical practice reports contribute or might contribute to leisure education. The present research was based on action-research's theoretical references due to its qualitative perspective. This methodological focus permitted us to accomplish eight collective meetings in order to intervene in a group formed by four Physical Education teachers from public and private schools at Rio Claro city. About one month after the group's last meeting, we have individually interviewed the teachers. The meetings' analysis led us to conclude there are four educative implicit and explicit contributions in the investigated teacher's reflexions and action reports which are synthetized in the following categories: the school place and the classes organization; school and Physical Education concepts; Physical Education's contents and attitudes' formation; Physical Education's pedagogical explicit practices for leisure education. The final interviews showed that Physical Education and leisure education relations provided during the meetings made it possible to construct and improve knowlegdes that were incorporated in the Physical Education classes as possible contributions to the students' leisure time out of school. Moreover, we point out another sorts of repercussions which were emphasized by the teachers and are related to satisfaction by participating in this research, by meeting new people, by exchanging experiences and by reflecting about their own professional and personal lives in a leisure dimension context. / Mestre

The thesis deals with lifelong adult education with a focus on leisure education. The theoretical framework is described as a developmental stage of maturity of the individual. It is also understood the importance of free time and lifelong adult education. In the research part I'm using questionnaires compared the views of both sides of leisure education - DDM directors and adult participants. The aim of this thesis is to clarify the importance of lifelong adult education with a focus on formal education and then determine whether a particular site (Vysocina Region) and the specific type of educational establishment (House of Children and Youth - DDM) is offering sufficiently diverse and is thus perceived and adult participants . The results of the quantitative survey shows that in the area of education DDM menu also caters to the needs of adult participants. The results also point to a provision in the promotion of programs aimed at adults.

The social problem of juvenile delinquency and treatment efforts to alleviate this problem are introduced in this study. Literature related to theories on delinquency, institutional treatment, the role of recreation in correctional settings, and leisure education is reviewed and summarized. A basis for a leisure theory on delinquency is presented, suggesting delinquent behaviors are socially unacceptable leisure pursuits. Implications include efforts to replace delinquent behaviors with socially acceptable leisure pursuits (i.e. recreation).

The master thesis deals with educational approaches and attitudes to social networking sites in leisure education in Czech Budweis. The theoretical background describes current social networking sites and benefits for their users. Next there are descriptions of puberty years, of leisure time as a time when social networking sites are used the most and of leisure education. The thesis includes comparison of Czech and Dutch approaches to media education in their educational systems. The research part includes opinions of leaders working in leisure education in Czech Budweis about an educational influencing of using of social networking sites and their experiences. Into research were joined 9 schools and school institutions for leisure education from Czech Budweis. The first part of the respondents do not devote to education of using of social networking sites. The second half of the respondents is trying to educate children to be conscious about risks, to understand to rules of social networking sites. Leaders talk with the children about a content which the children see on their accounts. But the leader´s influence causes just that the children know theoretical informations. So it is important to find a way how to teach children in a way that leader´s educational approaches make them behave differently and make them know about other possibilities of using social networking sites.

This diploma thesis deals with the educational activities of museums for adult visitors. The main aim of this thesis is to analyze the realization of educational activities in museums with respect to the specifics of adults as a target group. The intention is to examine the implementation of adult education programs, their preparation, structure and development as educational institutions. Furthermore, the work focuses on the target group of adult visitors. Part of the diploma thesis is research, which carried out through qualitative semi-structured interviews with selected staff and lecturers who provide education in museums. It will be carried out in museums in the Central Bohemian Region, which will be selected because of their location. The purpose of the research is to map out the implementation of adult education in the museum from the point of view of museum workers. The intention is to find out whether museums reflect the content of the adult learner's content and realization of educational programs, what forms of education and learning they use and what barriers and possibilities they find in this context.
