Huatulqueños y Samahua : el referente, el texto y su recepción

This thesis analyses Huatulquenos (1991) and Samahua (1997), by the Mexican author Leonardo Da Jandra. The goal of this study is to examine the interaction between literature and society. For this reason, three elements have been tackled: the referent that inspired the novels, the texts and their reception. The referent, the county of Santa Maria Huatulco (Mexico), has been studied from a socio-political perspective. The text analysis, on the other hand, not only focuses on style and content of the texts, but it isolates the implicit discourses articulated in both novels. Finally, the study of the reception explains the different reactions the texts have experienced as well as the environmental activism the author and his wife have led. The conclusions wrap up by questioning the roles of the intellectual as a cultural mediator and of literature and literary criticism as means of representation of subaltern groups.

Le Bestiaire de Leonard de Vinci (datable aux alentours de 1493-1494) est une oeuvre qui s'inscrit dans le cadre de la complexe tradition litteraire-scientifique tout en etant, de plusiers facons, differenciee par rapport au corpus a facettes des ouvrages de Vinci. L'analyse des sources (le Fiore di virtu, l'Acerba de Cecco d'Ascoli, l'Histoire naturelle de Pline, et d'autres textes inspires au Physiologus grec) constitue la premiere partie de l'etude, ou grande place est donnee aux innovations de Leonard. Dans la deuxieme partie les aspects scientifiques et litteraires, qui sont presents simultanement dans l'oeuvre, viennent ainsi examines minutieusement dans l'intention de demontrer que le Bestiaire ne constitue pas simplement un emprunt aux sources, mais est plutot une contribution originale a la tradition dont elle fait partie et dont on ressent la touche creative de Leonard et l'universalite de sa pensee.

Modernismus v Itálii a jeho podoby v dobových časopisech / Italian Modernism and its forms in the magazines from the beginning of the 20th century

The aim of this work is to present Italian modernism and its forms as we can find them in the magazines from the beginning of the 20th century. Due to their long-term activity magazines are a useful mean for studying social processes. For our analysis four magazines were chosen from which everyone represents a specific area: Leonardo magazine offers an overview of modern philosophic thoughts, Il Rinnovamento magazine reports on modernist movement within the Catholic Church, Lacerba magazine represents area of modernist art and literature and finally La Voce magazine can be considered a synthesis of topics with regard to processes going on in the Italian society at the beginning of the 20th century. After introductory part with description of historical and culture context the attention is focused on the magazines themselves explaining what was the motivation of their origin, how their program declaration developed and especially offering thematic analysis of their content. One of the examined areas is also described with regard to the concrete magazine and the effect it had on it. At the very end of the analytic part there is an evaluation of the magazines and their influence within the social transformation. Conclusion part offers an answer to the initial question, whether the word "modernism" is...

CoordenaÃÃo de AperfeiÃoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior / In the first decades of the twentieth century, Brazilian intellectuals discussed relations between the Brazilian hinterlands and coastal cities. One was Leonardo Mota (1891- 1948) that examined these relationships by calling attention to the "divorce between the Interior and the Sea" (MOTA, 1925, p.5). However, this "divorce" and difficult relationship between the hinterland and the Brazilian coast were not new, brought the unfolding of a series of constructs images and ideas produced historically. This paper makes an analysis about the construction of the national culture project created by Leonardo Mota in the years 1920-1930 and the historicity of the constructions of these images and ideas that influenced the consolidation of the distance between the hinterland and the coast, and also contributed in formation of national identities. / Nas primeiras dÃcadas do sÃculo XX, intelectuais brasileiros discutiram as relaÃÃes entre os sertÃes e as cidades litorÃneas brasileiras. Um deles foi Leonardo Mota (1891-1948) que analisou essas relaÃÃes chamando a atenÃÃo para o âdivÃrcio entre o SertÃo e o Marâ(MOTA, 1925, p.5). Entretanto, esse âdivÃrcioâ e difÃcil relaÃÃo entre os sertÃes e o litoral brasileiros nÃo eram novos, traziam os desdobramentos de uma sÃrie de construÃÃes de imagens e ideias produzidas historicamente. Esta tese compreende uma edição dos estudos de anatomia de Leonardo da Vinci, em torno da qual estão textos que visam interpretá-los sob o ponto de vista da epistemologia. Parte-se de uma visão ampla a respeito do problema do conhecimento e localiza-se a seguir parte desse problema no âmbito de cultura em que Leonardo se formou, com uma análise das fontes de época que tratam das questões relativas à aproximação entre as artes e as ciências do período. Apresenta-se a seguir uma edição significativa dos estudos de anatomia de Leonardo, na qual se discute principalmente sua elaboração ao longo dos trinta anos em que Leonardo investigou a anatomia. Retorna-se a Leonardo e seu âmbito de formação em vista de pensar a aproximação que Leonardo fez entre arte e ciência, superando seus contemporâneos artífices e, assim, colocando-se fora de sua cultura de origem sem alcançar à cultura letrada e colocando um ponto de interrogação na classificação dos saberes de sua época. Por fim, retoma-se as considerações amplas a respeito de conhecer, associando-as ao conhecer sui generis de Leonardo. / This thesis presents an edition of Leonardo da Vincis anatomical studies, which is surrounded by comments whose aim is to interpret these studies with respect to an epistemological point of view. Departing from a broad view about the problem of knowledge, this thesis then presents this problem in the culture in which Leonardo was educated, with an analysis of the sources in which the relations between the arts and sciences are presented and explored. It is followed by an important selection his anatomical studies, in which it is discussed the development of Leonardos work as an anatomist during thirty years. This thesis then return to Leonardos culture in order to think his synthesis between art and science that surpassed the aims and ambitions of his contemporaries, but making him a strange in his own culture and at the same time questioning the cultural establishment of his time. In the end, this thesis comes back to the broad view on the problem of knowledge and associates it to the sui generis knowledge of Leonardo da Vinci.

En nuestro estudio se propone un método de lectura que escruta tanto los libros en sí como lo demuestran las similitudes entre las obras y un sentido de viaje. Por lo tanto, en base a la lectura de estos libros, entendemos que la contribución de nuestro trabajo se centra en la presentación poética de Leonardo Fróes y la forma en que articula las irrupciones de lo sagrado y el mundo natural en la poesía contemporánea brasileña. Contribución de la obra científico-técnica de Leonardo da Vinci a los proyectos de ingeniería

[EN] This thesis aims to develop a theoretical investigation that identifies the main contributions of the scientific-technical work of Leonardo da Vinci (Vinci, 1452- Amboise, 1519), related to the Project Engineering area of knowledge and especially with two of its nuclear concepts Project and Design or, using the current denomination: Engineering Design and Project Engineering. To this end, an exhaustive review of Leonardo's manuscripts and codices (primary sources) is conducted and then a study of the existing literature on his scientific-technical work (secondary sources) is carried out. Then, various Leonardo's projects are studied relating them to current design / project concepts (ergonomics, ecodesign, analogies, etc.), the coincidence or not of his theories is observed, and the degree of proximity between his methodologies, methods, techniques and tools and those used in the present is determined. Finally, a synthesis of the findings and results presented in the different chapters addressed in the thesis is made, integrating how Leonardo's contributions in relation to graphic techniques, design instruments, document morphology, systemic, rational and experimental thinking, analogical design, experimental validation of design solutions, design based on nature and respectful of the environment, as well as his ability to put functional designs into practice and build them, configure his scientific-technical work as crucial in the development of the discipline of engineering projects. / [ES] La presente tesis persigue desarrollar una investigación teórica que identifique las principales contribuciones y aportes de la obra científico-técnica de Leonardo da Vinci (Vinci, 1452- Amboise, 1519) relacionados con el área de conocimiento de Proyectos de Ingeniería, vinculadas principalmente con dos conceptos nucleares a la misma, Diseño y Proyecto, o utilizando la nomenclatura actual, los conceptos de Diseño en Ingeniería (Engineering Desing, en la literatura en inglés) y de Ingeniería de Proyectos (Project Engineering). Para ello se realiza una revisión exhaustiva de los manuscritos y códices de Leonardo (fuentes primarias) y seguidamente se efectúa un estudio de la literatura existente sobre la obra científico-técnica del mismo (fuentes secundarias). Tras ello, se estudian diversos proyectos de Leonardo relacionándolos con los conceptos de diseño/proyecto actuales (ergonomía, ecodiseño, analogías, etc.) y se observan la coincidencia o no de sus teorías, y el grado de proximidad entre sus técnicas y herramientas, con los métodos, técnicas e instrumentos usados en la actualidad. Finalmente se realiza una síntesis de los hallazgos y resultados presentados en los diferentes capítulos abordados en la tesis, integrando cómo las aportaciones de Leonardo en relación a las técnicas gráficas, instrumentos de diseño, morfología documental, pensamiento sistémico, racional y experimental, diseño analógico, validación experimental de las soluciones de diseño, diseño basado en la naturaleza y respetuoso con el entorno, y su capacidad para llevar a la práctica diseños funcionales y construirlos, configuran su obra científico-técnica como crucial en el desarrollo de la disciplina de los proyectos de ingeniería. / [CAT] La present tesi persegueix desenvolupar una investigació teòrica que identifique les principals contribucions i aportacions de l'obra científico-tècnica de Leonardo da Vinci (Vinci, 1452- Amboise, 1519) relacionats amb l'àrea de coneixement de Projectes d'Enginyeria, vinculades principalment amb dos conceptes nuclears a aquesta, Disseny i Projecte, o utilitzant la nomenclatura actual, els conceptes de Disseny en Enginyeria ("Engineering Desing", en la literatura en anglés) i d'Enginyeria de Projectes ("Project Engineering").
