Tarptautinis turizmas yra ne tik aktyvus turizmo produkto, bet ir įvairių kitų ūkio šakų gaminamų prekių tarptautinių mainų generatorius. Tarptautinio turizmo plėtra skatina infrastruktūros kūrimą, todėl tarptautinį turizmą reikėtų tirti siejant su atskirų šalių ekonominiais santykiais. Šiame darbe pateikiama Lietuvos turizmo plėtros galimybių teorinė samprata ir analizė, atliekama lyginamoji Lietuvos turizmo plėtros rodiklių analizė. Literatūros apžvalgoje aprašyta tarptautinio turizmo reikšmė ekonomikos plėtrai bei atskirų šalių ekonominiams pokyčiams. Taip pat pateikiamas galimas tarptautinio turizmo poveikis ekonominei ir sociokultūrinei; pateikiama turizmo plėtros samprata, nagrinėjami teoriniai turizmo plėtros vystymosi modeliai, nusakantys jų vertinimo aspektus. Aiškinami turizmo ekonominio poveikio analizės ypatumai. Aptariamas turizmo kaip paslaugos vertinimas bei turizmo paslaugų kokybės vertinimo aspektai. Antra darbo dalis skirta tyrimo metodikai bei organizavimui aprašyti. Trečioje dalyje analizuojamos Lietuvos turizmo rinkos veiklos plėtojimo prielaidos ir perspektyvos, pateikiamos Lietuvos turizmo plėtros tendencijos, nusakomos turizmo plėtros tikslinės sritys bei naudojant SSGG analizę, išskiriamos prioritetinės turizmo vystymo kryptys. Magistro baigiamajame darbe išanalizuota ir įvertinta ES struktūrinės paramos Lietuvos turizmui įsisavinimo efektyvumas, iškeltos pagrindinės ES struktūrinės paramos lėšas bei pateiki sprendimai joms spręsti. Pirmojoje darbo dalyje teoriniu aspektu analizuojama turizmo infrastruktūra, ES struktūrinės paramos politikos turinys bei ES struktūrinės paramos vaidmuo šalies ekonomikai. Antrojoje darbo dalyje analizuojamas ES struktūrinės paramos Lietuvos bei apskričių turizmo sektoriui įsisavinimo efektyvumas, analizuojami turizmo sektoriaus rodikliai ES struktūrinės paramos įsisavinimo laikotarpiu. Trečiojoje darbo dalyje analizuojama ekspertų nuomonė apie ES struktūrinės paramos turizmui įsisavinimo problemas bei perspektyvas. / In Master's Work was analyzed and evaluated the EU Structural Funds absorption efficiency of Lithuanian tourism, brought main problems of EU structural funds absorption and provide solutions. In the first part was analyzed the theoretical aspect of the tourism infrastructure of the EU structural policy content and the role of EU structural support of the country's economy. The second part analyzes the EU structural support for Lithuania tourism sector absorption efficiency, the analysis of the tourism sector indicators for the EU structural assistance period. The third part analyzes the expert opinion of the EU structural assistance for tourism absorption problems and prospects.

Magistro tezėse analizuojama teorinė darnios plėtros koncepcija, jos įvairialypė samprata. Pristatytas apibendrintas požiūris pagal ekologinę, socialinę ir ekonominę grupes. Aptariami darnios plėtros principai, darnumo formos. Tezėse gilinamasi į tai, kokią įtaka darni koncepcija turi turizmui. Darnus turizmas aptariamas kaip regiono galimybė sukurti tokią turizmo infrastruktūrą, kurioje būtų išlaikoma natūralių gamtinių išteklių bazė ir tuo pat metu būtų kuriama panaši į konkurentų rinką ateities kartoms. Pateikiama darnaus turizmo samprata, kuriami darnios turizmo plėtros principai išryškinantys darnios turizmo koncepcijos ypatumus lyginant su bendra darnumo koncepcija. Siekiant užtikrinti Lietuvos, kaip unikalaus turistinio regiono, konkurencinį pranašumą kitų šalių atžvilgiu tezėse atskleidžiamos turistinio regiono savitumo, kultūrinio ir istorinio paveldo apsaugos problemos, kurias siūloma spręsti taikant darnios turizmo plėtros koncepciją. Magistro tezėse remiantis išanalizuotais teoriniais darnumo aspektais, užsienio šalių patirtimi turizmo sektoriuje ir pirminio tyrimo rezultatais yra suformuojami Lietuvos darnios turizmo plėtros principai. It presents a summarized point of view according to ecological, social and economic groups, overviews the principles of sustainable development and forms of sustainability. The thesis discusses the influence that the concept of sustainability has on tourism. Sustainable tourism is overviewed as region’s possibility to create infrastructure of tourism which would maintain the base of natural resources and at the same time would create a similar to competitors’ market for the future generations. The concept of sustainable tourism is presented, the principles of sustainable tourism development, which highlight peculiarities of the conception of sustainable tourism comparing it to the conception of sustainability, are created. To ensure competitive superiority of Lithuania as a unique tourism region comparing to other countries, the thesis presents the problems of unique tourism region, protection of cultural and historical heritage, and suggests solving them by applying the conception of sustainable tourism development.
