Ocupa-se em traçar um mapeamento sobre os agentes editoriais ativos nesta produção, entre 2007 e 2008, e investigar os ideários e as representações de infância que os catálogos impressos de divulgação destas empresas editoriais, as principais fontes da pesquisa da investigação realizada, colocam em circulação. Para isto, a pesquisa observa e discute as estratégias que as editoras incorporam e/ou inventam para garantir seu reconhecimento e distinção neste campo de comércio de bens simbólicos para a infância e identifica como a leitura dos dispositivos encontrados nos catálogos de divulgação pode informar sobre os imaginários que definem e atualizam infâncias, seus públicos e objetos, e a concorrência de produtos. O trabalho tem sua problematização e procedimento metodológico-analítico fundamentados em contribuições trazidas pela Sociologia da Cultura (com Norbert Elias e Pierre Bourdieu), explorando as noções de campo e da teoria da ação social; pela História Cultural (com Roger Chartier e Robert Darnton) e as ideias de mediação editorial e ciclo de vida dos livros; e pela Teoria da Enunciação (de Mikhail Bakhtin), com sua inspiração para a discussão discursiva dos materiais de linguagem. / Abstract: This paper focus on publishing brands and the dissemination of children's books in contemporary Brazil. It tries to delineate a map of the active publishing agents in the 2007-2008 production and to investigate the ideals and representations of childhood that the printed catalogs of those publishing companies, taken as the main research sources of the investigation, make circulate. To carry this out, we observe and discuss the strategies that the publishing companies incorporate and/or invent in order to warrant its recognition and distinction in the field of commerce of symbolical goods for childhood and identifies how the reading of the mechanisms found in catalogues can inform the ideas that define and actualize childhoods, their audiences and objects, and the competition of products. The works has its problematization and methodological-analytical procedure founded on contributions brought about by the Sociology of Culture (N. Elias and P. Bourdier), exploring the notions of field and the social action theory; by Cultural History (R. Chartier and R. Darnton) and the ideas of editorial mediation and cycle of life of books; and by the Theory of Enunciation (M. Para tanto, a pesquisa detém-se, inicialmente, no estudo da evolução do objeto livro, arquetípico e tracional e as transformações ocorridas em sua forma e na concepção da página - seu elemento primordial - decorrentes do uso de materiais e tecnologias diversas; para depois buscar algumas definições contemporâneas sobre "livro de artista". A intenção destes estudos foi a absorção e apropriação das características fundamentais do livro: objeto portável que reune folhas presas à uma capa, característica esta que induz a um sistema de leitura próprio e as possíveis transgressões e inovações que o livro de artista pode propor ao "pensar" sobre o objeto. Essa pesquisa permitiu a análise dos exemplares escolhidos e sua relação com a manutenção ou não das características fundamentais do objeto livro / Abstract: In this research I study and analyze some examples of artist books by artists Luise Weiss and Feres Khoury. Therefore, the research holds up, initially to study the evolution of the book object, archetypal and traditional and the changes occurring in its form and design the page - its primordial element - from the use of different materials and technologies; and then seek some contemporary definitions of "artist book". The intent of these studies was the absorption and appropriation of the fundamental features of the book: portable object that gathers pages attached to the cover, a characteristic that induces a proper system of reading and possible transgressions and innovations that the artist¿s book may propose to "thinking" about the object. Amigos de importantes educadores do movimento da Escola Nova, Lobato e Faucher empreenderam experiências pioneiras na produção de livros para crianças. No trabalho de ambos, percebe-se uma semelhança fundamental: a existência de um projeto pedagógico subjacente ao projeto editorial. Mais do que comparar pontos em comum ou distintos na obra desses dois promotores de leitura, o objetivo principal, ao compará-los, é iluminar aspectos que engendram essas semelhanças e diferenças; é compreender que razões em jogo as condicionam dentro do contexto de produção,circulação e recepção dessas obras. Nesta tese, procurou-se discutir que tipo de leitura Lobato e Faucher fizeram da Escola Nova; como a adesão deles ao ideário do movimento escolanovista resulta em livros; que tipo de investimento cada um fez e o que resultou dessas escolhas: semelhanças? Diferenças? Com este fim, a pesquisa debruçou-se não apenas sobre livros, mas também sobre cartas pessoais, periódicos, fichas de edição, relatórios de vendas, prospectos de congressos, e toda sorte de impressos que documentam as atividades e as relações estabelecidas entre escritores, editores, artistas plásticos, intelectuais, políticos, pedagogos e educadores. As conclusões a que se chegou apontam para uma semelhança nos mecanismos de funcionamento do sistema literário no Brasil e na França dos anos 20, 30 e 40; semelhantes concepções de infância e educação em Lobato e Faucher, no entanto, diferentes métodos na realização dos projetos editoriais e literários que deram origem aos seus livros / Abstract: This dissertation examines the history of children's books in Brazil and France between the decades of 1920 and 1940 and its close relation to the education renovating movement in both countries; it focuses on the work of the Brazilian author Monteiro Lobato (1882-1948) and the French Paul Faucher (1898-1967), creator of the famous Père Castor albums. While keeping friendship relations with eminent educators of the Escola Nova [New School or Progressive Education] movement, both Lobato and Faucher carried out pioneering practices in children's books production. It is possible to notice a fundamental common aspect in the work of both authors: the presence of a pedagogical project underlying their editorial project. More than comparing common and distinctive points in the work of these two supporters of reading, the main objective here is to elucidate some aspects that contribute to these similarities and differences by identifying the factors that shape these elements of comparison in the context of the creation, dissemination and reception of their work. In this dissertation, I sought to examine what was the perception that Lobato and Faucher had about the Escola Nova movement, how their connection to the movement reflect in their books, which pathways each of them took and what were the results of the choices they have made. Are they mostly differences or similarities? In trying to answer these questions, the research sought to examine not only books, but also personal letters, journals, notes, sales reports, conference proceedings, and all sorts of printings that document the authors' activities and the relations they established with writers, editors, artists, intellectuals, politicians and educators. The conclusions I have reached point toward a similarity in the literary systems of Brazil and French in the 20s, 30s and 40s; they also indicate similar conceptions of childhood and education in Lobato and Faucher; in contrast, however, the findings also reveal differences in the methods used in the editorial and literary projects that are at the origin of their books / Doutorado / Literatura Geral e Comparada / Doutor em Teoria e História Literária

In which the various literary creations are mixed. In order to understand better the way how these ideas are outripend and articulated, we rather bring his poetic production somehow nearer to the artistic tendencies, which arose at the beginning of the 20th century. These created a profound transformation in the fields of art and culture, a fact we see in the course of the whole century and still today are enduring in the contemporaneous productions through this and other poets. Based on this progression, we try to find out the models which helped them to be inspirited and also the historical marks in literature, which allow us to find out and read the processes in unreding, appropriation, scripts and literature and therewith the forms these poetical categories are reconfigured in a effort of superation. Thus a proper and autonomic literature could be achieved. The theoretical body is based and established by authors like Pierre Bourdieu, Dominique Maingueneau, Harold Bloom, Roland Barthes and some others supporting as well. We verify that the high level of scientific and technological development of the modern society provokes new social arrangements, demanding also a renewal in the social habits in our times. That lifts up, the identity of an individual in this particular society having to reveal itself in the inner of the representation systems, - and in the same way he will have to allow to be represented by the others. In the interacting movement in several fields and in the constant being inspired on through the various linguistic codes, Arnaldo Antunes demonstrates the reading of the tradions flowing to unfold itself as a revitalization of arts, standing up against the banality and materialism of the contemporaneous world, but rather that the technical and experimental profits are contributions, which permit the development and orientation of the direction his writing can have to achieve the liberty of style and the literature as such. / Essa pesquisa desenvolve um olhar sobre a obra poética de Arnaldo Antunes e sua história de leituras, através de um sistema complexo de relações, onde se misturam escrituras variadas. Para compreender melhor como suas idéias são construídas e articuladas procuramos aproximar sua produção poética de tendências artísticas surgidas no início do século XX, que operaram uma mudança profunda nas artes e na cultura, que perduraram durante todo o século e ainda estão presentes na produção artística contemporânea deste e de outros poetas. Através desse percurso, procuramos descobrir os modelos que lhe serviram de inspiração e marcas da história de leitura que nos permite ler os processos de influência, desleitura, apropriação, escritura, e a forma como essas categorias poéticas estão reconfiguradas num trabalho de superação, no objetivo de atingir autonomia literária.O corpo teórico se estabelece a partir de autores como Pierre Bourdieu, Dominique Maingueneau, Harold Bloom, Roland Barthes e mais um suporte de outros autores. Verificamos que o alto nível de desenvolvimento científico e tecnológico atingido pelas sociedades modernas provoca novos ordenamentos sociais, exigindo também uma renovação das práticas sociais contemporâneas. Sendo assim, a identidade de um sujeito desta mesma sociedade vai se revelar no interior dos sistemas de representação e na forma como ele se deixa representar. No movimento de interação com vários campos do conhecimento, no contágio incessante com vários códigos de linguagem, Arnaldo Antunes demonstra que a leitura da tradição aparece como uma revitalização da arte, que se opõe à banalidade e à materialidade do mundo contemporâneo e os ganhos técnicos e experimentais são contribuições que dão desenvolvimento e orientam os rumos de sua escrita para alcançar liberdade de estilo e escritura própria
