Přístřešek restaurace s tanečním parketem / Restaurant dance floor shelter

Horský, Vojtěch January 2017 (has links)
In my diploma thesis I designed 2 options for an arch roofing of place for dancing next to the restaurant in Dolní Jablonná. The first solution was designed as a timber structure with internal supporting arch from glue laminated timber. The second solution was designed as a two pin-supported steel beam. These variants were predesigned and as the final solution was chosen the timber structure. I designed a rafter, a glue laminated arch, a purlin, an anchorage and field joints. The thesis is including drawings of the layout design, details and anchorage plans.

Synergies in Biolubrication

Raj, Akanksha January 2017 (has links)
The objective of this thesis was to advance understanding in the field of biolubrication, finding inspiration from the human synovial joints. This was addressed by investigating the association of key biolubricants and the resulting lubrication performance. Techniques employed during the course of this work were Atomic force microscopy (AFM), Quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation monitoring (QCM-D), X-ray reflectivity (XRR). Key synovial fluid and cartilage components like dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC), hyaluronan (HA), lubricin, and cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) have been used in the investigations. Focus was towards two lubrication couples; DPPC-hyaluronan and COMP-lubricin. DPPC-hyaluronan mixtures were probed on hydrophilic silica surfaces and COMP-lubricin association structures were explored on weakly hydrophobic poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) surfaces. Investigations of the COMP-lubricin pair revealed that individually these components are unable to reach desired lubrication. However in combination, COMP facilitates firm attachment of lubricin to the PMMA surface in a favourable confirmation that imparts low friction coefficient. DPPC and hyaluronan combined impart lubrication advantage over lone DPPC bilayers. Hyaluronan provides a reservoir of DPPC on the surface and consequently self-healing ability. Other factors like temperature, presence of calcium ions, molecular weight of hyaluronan, and pressure were also explored. DPPC bilayers at higher temperature had higher load bearing capacity. Association between DPPC Langmuir layers and hyaluronan was enhanced in the presence of calcium ions, and lower molecular weight hyaluronan had a stronger tendency to bind to DPPC. At high pressures, DPPC-hyaluronan layers were more stable compared to lone DPPC bilayers. /
QC 20170210

Vliv výstroje a výzbroje na aktivaci kosterního svalstva při přímém čelním kopu / Impact of gear and weaponry on muscle activation in the direct front kick

Oláh, Vladan January 2016 (has links)
Title: The influence of equipment and arms on skeletal muscles activities while practising direct kick. Aim: The aim of this thesis was to find out the influence of carried equipment and arms on the activity of skeletal muscles when a direct front kick is being practised. The methods used: This thesis has an empirically observational character. Muscular activities were measured by means of surface electromyography synchronised by Qualisys screen system. To obtain statistic data, a t-test has been used, requiring 5 % significance level. Results: While carrying a 15-kilogram load, the activity of skeletal muscles was not significantly reduced when performing a direct front kick. However, a 30- kilogram load caused a substantial reduction of skeletal muscular activities during the kick described above. After adding a 15-kilogram bag to another 15 kilograms in the form of a body armour, a helmet and arms, the muscular activity changed its features in a considerable way. Furthermore, most respondents proved 45-kilogram load to be over their limit. The equipment and arms of that weight led to the summation action potential, exceeding the power- coordinative functional reserve, and thus the deformation of the direct front kick technique. Keywords: close combat, EMG, equipment, arms, direct front kick

Carretta, Mariana da Silva January 2018 (has links)
Deep foundations, when requested to lateral loading, are governed by three design criteria: ultimate soil strength, piles’ ultimate load, and maximum deflection. These criteria act together and must be analyzed in this way, since the failure of one of them is capable of causing the collapse of the entire system. Regarding soil resistance, the current bearing capacity methodologies describe the behavior of granular and cohesive soils. Given the particular behavior of the residual soils in the soil mechanics, there is no comprehensive methodology for piles subject to lateral loads and inserted in this soil type, which presents an intermediate behavior and a lightly cemented structure. Thus, the present work proposes an estimated bearing capacity for crosswise loaded piles, when inserted in residual soil and in soil with the top layer cemented. So, data from preexisting lateral loading tests and laboratory tests, performed during the research, served as a basis for the proposition of the method, based on the behavior of the material when requested to lateral loading Unconfined compression tests, oedometer consolidation tests, isotropic compression, and triaxial tests with measures of shear modulus demonstrate that there is a point where the soil's cemented structure breaks down, presenting itself in a destructured arrangement, reflected by larger strains. A linear relationship is capable of equating the bearing capacity for both, piles inserted in residual soil and piles carried out in soil with improved surface layer. This relationship is established between the rupture load of the piles tested and the area of soil adjacent to it mobilized by the loading. The results shows that the piles' bearing capacity is governed by the yield stress of the material. The proposed equation makes it possible to obtain the rupture load based on simple and easy tests, such as the unconfined compression test that establishes a direct relationship with the yield stress of the studied soil.

Textilbeton

Hegger, Josef, Will, Norbert, Schneider, Maike 05 December 2011 (has links) (PDF)
For the application of the composite material Textile Reinforced Concrete (TRC) the numerical and experimental knowledge of the load bearing behaviour of construction elements has to be transferred into design models and construction rules applicable for the practice. Due to differences in the material and bond properties the design approach known for steel reinforced concrete has to be adjusted for textile reinforced concrete construction parts. In this paper the basic load-bearing mechanisms of textile reinforced concrete under tension, bending and shear loading as well as under concentrated tensile loading are described and empirically derived design models are presented. Based on the experimental results safety factors for the textile reinforcements are determined and the design models are integrated into an overall safety concept. A partial safety factor for textile reinforced concrete of γtex = 1,5 is recommended.

Uvedení sklo-ocelových nosníků na trh a jejich expanze do zahraničí / Introduction of Steel-Glass Beams and Their Expansion Abroad

Palkovská, Nella January 2012 (has links)
The aim of this master thesis is to find an outlet for the new luxury architectonic component - steel-glass beam called GS-Beam and to introduce suitable strategies for GS-Beam rollout on the target markets. Czech market is too small and the predictions of Czech construction industry are not positive, therefore there is a need to find other markets where to pioneer GS-Beam. The United Arab Emirates were chosen as the source of current demand and the Russian Federation as future potential purchaser. Market potential is tested by PESTLE analysis and by Porter's Five Forces Model. This master thesis brings concept for foreign expansion of the company Static Solution, which should be sustainable in long-term perspective.
