Halaj, Vladislav January 2021 (has links)
UNIVERZITA KARLOVA FAKULTA HUMANITNÍCH STUDIÍ Studijní program sociální a kulturní ekologie Bc. Vladislav Halaj EVALUATION OF LAG ACTIVITIES IN LOCALITIES WITH A HIGH LEVEL OF SOCIAL EXCLUSION Vedoucí práce: PhDr. Ivan Rynda Diplomová práce Praha 2021 Abstract This diploma thesis deals with measuring the activities of Local Action Groups in the field of social issues. Based on the solution of strategic documents and professional texts and sources offering work, it uses insight into the issue of social exclusion and its individual areas, which are employment, housing, education or indebtedness. It also moves on to the description of strategic materials for the fight against social exclusion, presents the Index of Socially Excluded Localities, which aims to continuously map the endangered locality of social exclusion from ongoing statistical data. It then moves on to the description of considered organizations, ie the Local Action Groups and its tools used in its activities. The last section of the theoretical part of the work deals with community-led development and operational programs. The above research part helps to a thorough understanding of the issue of social exclusion, which is the central theme of the thesis. The empirical part deals with the evaluation of the activities of Local Action Groups in...

Návrh kritérií a tvorba metodiky pro stanovení výše nájmů z pozemků v zemědělských areálech v konkrétních lokalitách / Design of criteria and creation of methodology for determining the size of rents from land in agricultural grounds in concrete localities

Tesařová, Zdeňka January 2018 (has links)
In the doctoral thesis deals with a problem situation, which is based on the lack of a clarified methodology for determining the rents from land in agricultural grounds. Criteria are proposed that could affect the amount of land rents in agricultural grounds. One is the type of water source. The created database consists of a variety of data that are subsequently evaluated. The data for the selected locations was statistically evaluated. Furthermore, the percentage of rentals was determined as against the usual (market) price of the leased land. The proposed coefficients were quantified and verified at the same time in practical cases. The output of the thesis is a methodology developed to determine the usual rental rates from land in agricultural grounds.

Štantejský, Milan January 2013 (has links)
This thesis deals with the analysis of the valuation methods and their mutual comparison and assessment of suitability. The theoretical part presents the basic concepts associated with the valuation of real estate valuation methods for the analysis of the type of property house and the notion of civic amenities. In the practical part of the work five houses in the Ústí nad Orlicí are described and measured. The main object of this work is to compare the impact of service availability on the marketability of houses and evaluate which of the methods reflect the amenities most accurately. Another object of this work is to evaluate the difference in the two possible procedures landscaping cost calculation method according to the current pricing regulation. Finally is made a comparison of the valuation methods and evaluate the most appropriate method.

Simutaneous real-time object recognition and pose estimation for artificial systems operating in dynamic environments

Van Wyk, Frans-Pieter January 2013 (has links)
Recent advances in technology have increased awareness of the necessity for automated systems in people’s everyday lives. Artificial systems are more frequently being introduced into environments previously thought to be too perilous for humans to operate in. Some robots can be used to extract potentially hazardous materials from sites inaccessible to humans, while others are being developed to aid humans with laborious tasks. A crucial aspect of all artificial systems is the manner in which they interact with their immediate surroundings. Developing such a deceivingly simply aspect has proven to be significantly challenging, as it not only entails the methods through which the system perceives its environment, but also its ability to perform critical tasks. These undertakings often involve the coordination of numerous subsystems, each performing its own complex duty. To complicate matters further, it is nowadays becoming increasingly important for these artificial systems to be able to perform their tasks in real-time. The task of object recognition is typically described as the process of retrieving the object in a database that is most similar to an unknown, or query, object. Pose estimation, on the other hand, involves estimating the position and orientation of an object in three-dimensional space, as seen from an observer’s viewpoint. These two tasks are regarded as vital to many computer vision techniques and regularly serve as input to more complex perception algorithms. An approach is presented which regards the object recognition and pose estimation procedures as mutually dependent. The core idea is that dissimilar objects might appear similar when observed from certain viewpoints. A feature-based conceptualisation, which makes use of a database, is implemented and used to perform simultaneous object recognition and pose estimation. The design incorporates data compression techniques, originally suggested by the image-processing community, to facilitate fast processing of large databases. System performance is quantified primarily on object recognition, pose estimation and execution time characteristics. These aspects are investigated under ideal conditions by exploiting three-dimensional models of relevant objects. The performance of the system is also analysed for practical scenarios by acquiring input data from a structured light implementation, which resembles that obtained from many commercial range scanners. Practical experiments indicate that the system was capable of performing simultaneous object recognition and pose estimation in approximately 230 ms once a novel object has been sensed. An average object recognition accuracy of approximately 73% was achieved. The pose estimation results were reasonable but prompted further research. The results are comparable to what has been achieved using other suggested approaches such as Viewpoint Feature Histograms and Spin Images. / Dissertation (MEng)--University of Pretoria, 2013. / gm2014 / Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering / unrestricted

The Local Hub : En fysisk framtid för varumärken. En designstrategi för förortscentrum för att hålla dem levande, relevanta och utan tomma lokaler

Stone, Alice January 2020 (has links)
In this thesis project I investigate how to approach ”the retail apocalypse” as an interior architect. My aim is to show how commercial spaces and physical stores will still be important in the future, despite internet shopping and the climate crisis, as places we will visit to experience things, socialize and where businesses meet with their costumers physically.    Today we are constantly approached by brands and their brand aesthetics while walking through commercial areas. Logos, graphic material and specifik interior for just that brand. In their aim to reach brand recognition from their costumers the brand looks almost the same in all their physical stores. In this thesis project I present a strategy where I don’t see the goal for brands to be brand recognition. Instead I’m working with the idea that brands (small or big) could benefit from adapting their brand to the specifik locality they are situated in. In order to try this out I have done a case study on one commercial area affected by closing stores and too few visitors, a suburban center in the southern part of Stockholm- Hökarängen’s centre.     It is a strategy with a design program that strengthens both the brands and the identity of the place and sees our suburban center not as doomed but as a part of the future. It brings hope for a future where retail is an adaption to the locality, as a vivid part of the local community.
