Virtualių mokomųjų aplinkų lokalizavimas / Localization of Virtual Learning Environment

The work consists of two parts. The first part describes the survey of student opinions on the Virtual Learning Environment. The research helps us see how attractive different possibilities among students are as regards the Virtual Learning Environment and what positive influence the said possibilities bring on the learning process. The research can also be helpful to teachers creating virtual learning courses in singling out the possibilities to focus on. Teaching material of the theory of algorithms presented within the open code of the Virtual Learning Environment “Moodle” was used for the survey. Pedagogical evaluation guidelines have been presented and the said “Moodle” environment has been estimated respectively. The second part of the work deals with the localization of VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) “Moodle” help manual. The localization process began by selecting the themes more important to students based on the previous research results. The work also defines the localization itself and its levels: code tables, dialogue culture important localization-wise, and the open source concept. Certain criteria are applied to localization as any other piece of work. Finally, the localization process of module help manual of the Virtual Learning Environment “Moodle” has been described. This Master thesis presents a study of computer equipment support services providing company’s business processes, specifics of the ongoing communication between end-users and supporting engineers-consultants and presents review of some information systems designed to automate certain technical support activities. Core aim of this study is to alleviate the daily work of above mentioned consultants when supporting end-users to locate and resolve issues in owned computer equipment. This paper outlines requirements set for software which could be capable to support business processes of a company operating in a computer equipment maintenance industry, describes specially designed technical support system’s architecture as well as its programming and testing results. The presented prototype of an information system might be treated as new step in computer equipment support services enhancement. This prototype might serve as a core for knowledge management system development; it is suitable for use in businesses which are other than the IT equipment support business.

Digital Signature Technologies for Image Information Assurance / Vaizdo skaitmeninis parašas vaizdinės informacijos apsaugai

The dissertation investigates the issues of image authentication and tamper localization after general image processing operations – blurring, sharpening, rotation and JPEG compression. The dissertation consists of four parts including Introduction, 4 chapters, Conclusions, References. The introduction reveals the investigated problem, importance of the thesis and the object of research and describes the purpose and tasks of the paper, research methodology, scientific novelty, the practical significance of results examined in the paper and defended statements. The introduction ends in presenting the author’s publications on the subject of the defended dissertation, offering the material of made presentations in conferences and defining the structure of the dissertation. Chapter 1 revises used literature, analyzes competitive methods. The devastating effect of blur/sharpen methods on digital image matrices is shown. General pixel-wise tamper localization methods are completely inefficient after such casual processing. Block-wise methods demonstrate some resistance against blurring/sharpening, but no tamper localization with the resolution of up to one pixel is possible. There is clearly a need for a method, able to locate damaged pixels despite general image processing operations such as blurring or sharpening. Disertaciją sudaro įvadas, keturi skyriai, rezultatų apibendrinimas, naudotos literatūros ir autoriaus publikacijų disertacijos tema sąrašai. Įvadiniame skyriuje aptariama tiriamoji problema, darbo aktualumas, aprašomas tyrimų objektas, formuluojamas darbo tikslas bei uždaviniai, aprašoma tyrimų metodika, darbo mokslinis naujumas, darbo rezultatų praktinė reikšmė, ginamieji teiginiai. Įvado pabaigoje pristatomos disertacijos tema autoriaus paskelbtos publikacijos ir pranešimai konferencijose bei disertacijos struktūra. Pirmasis skyrius skirtas literatūros apžvalgai. Išsiaiškinama kodėl pikselių tikslumo metodai nėra atsparūs tokiam poveikiui. Kodėl blokiniai metodai demonstruoja dalinį atsparumą – bet jie nėra pajėgūs surasti vieno pažeisto pikselio. Parodomas aiškus poreikis metodo, tiek galinčio rasti pažeistus pikselius, tiek atsparaus bendroms vaizdo apdorojimo procedūroms, tokioms kaip blukinimas ar aštrinimas. Antrajame skyriuje pateiktas sukurto metodo teorinis pagrindimas. Įrodoma, kad Furjė fazė pasižymi atsparumu blukinimui ir ryškinimui.
