Foram medidas as perdas de ernergia de íons 14N e 16O em sólidos (Si,Ti,V,Cu,Zn, Zr e Pd) na faixa de energias de 1 MeV/uma. A técnica utilizada constitui-se na medida de energia de projéteis espalhados a 25° por um alvo delgado de Au, antes e depois de atravessar a folha do element freador. Os resultados experimentais são comparados com as previsões semi-empíricas de Northcliffe & Schilling (N&S), Ziegler e uma nova versão de N&S feita por Hubert e colaboradores, sendo observada uma razoável concordância entre os valores medidos e as curvas semi-empíricas. / Energy loss has been measured 14N and 16O at energies of 1 MeV/amu to 4 MeV/amu in Si, Ti, V, Cu, Zn, Zr and Pd foils. The technique consists in the measurement of the energies of ions scattered through 25 ° by a goldfoil before and after passing through the stopping foil. Our data compared to the semiempirical tabulations of Northcliffe and Schilling (N&S), Ziegler and new version of N&S by Hubert et al.. The predictions of these semiempirical compilations are in reasonable agreement with our experimental data.

This thesis demonstrates how a model-based observer can be applied to estimate the reference pilot expectation that can be achieved with any instrument scanning behavior and established models of vestibular inputs. The MBO, developed by the Georgia Tech Cognitive Engineering Center, is applied here in both simple maneuvers examining spatial disorientation and full Air Traffic Control concepts of operations examining loss of energy state awareness. The computational experiments presented in this thesis examine how different effects (i.e., instrument scan pattern, accuracy of pilot perception of flight display information, and awareness of control surface deflections) can prevent or mitigate the susceptibility to spatial disorientation and loss of energy state awareness, thus setting requirements for intervention and countermeasure designs in terms of the scanning behavior they must foster.

Detta arbete handlar om att med en teoretisk modell kunna beräkna fram de olika mängder värmeförluster som vissa isoleringsmaterial släpper igenom. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka om ett specifikt isoleringsmaterial som vanligtvis inte används inom sjöfarten har möjligheten att sänka energin som försvinner igenom isoleringsmaterialen. De metoder som användes är en teoretisk modell som byggdes för att kunna använda de olika isoleringsmaterialens värmekonduktivitet för sedan kunna beräkna de teoretiska värmeförlusterna. Resultatet visar att aerogel skulle vara lämpligt för användning inom sjöfarten tack vara sina egenskaper och isoleringsförmåga som är mycket bättre än mineralull. / This work is about using a theoretical model to calculate the various amounts of thermal losses that some insulation materials release. The purpose of this work is to investigate whether a specific insulation material that has not been properly tested in shipping has the potential to lower energy that passes through the insulation materials. The methods used are that a theoretical model was built to use the thermal conductivity of different insulation materials in order to calculate the theoretical heat losses. The result shows that aerogel would be suitable for use in shipping thanks to its properties and insulation ability, which is much better than mineral wool.

This diploma thesis deals with the impact of thermal insulation on expenses relateted to the operation of the weekend house. Theoretical part describes options of thermal insulation systems, insulation methodes, describes structural prices and costs. Practical part of this thesis describes heat costs on specific weekend house situated in Karlovy Vary region. Thermal insulations are designed in three different variants. Calculation of costs of every designed insulation systém is included in this thesis. In next part of thesis is calculated return of investment for every designed solution. In conclusion of the diploma thesis are compared impacts of thermal insulation on expenses ralated to the operation of the weekend house.
