Análise cinemática da marcha de mulheres com dor femoropatelar / Cinematic analysis of the march of womem with femoropatherlar pain

Dias, Alesandra Cabreira 05 March 2018 (has links)
Submitted by Nadir Basilio (nadirsb@uninove.br) on 2018-07-20T19:42:16Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Alesandra Cabreira Dias.pdf: 1439119 bytes, checksum: 12676ff064da1a0dcf397f594c36a058 (MD5) / Made available in DSpace on 2018-07-20T19:42:16Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Alesandra Cabreira Dias.pdf: 1439119 bytes, checksum: 12676ff064da1a0dcf397f594c36a058 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2018-03-05 / Patellofemoral pain (DFP) is one of the most frequent dysfunctions in the knee, during functional activities such as crouching, climbing and descending stairs among others, reaching 25% of all knee injuries. Multifactorial etiology is associated with biomechanical disorders characterized by deficits in motor control of the trunk and lower limbs during activities in daily life. Thus, the objectives of this work are: 1 - To compare the kinematics of the trunk, pelvis, hip, knee, ankle and foot in women with patellofemoral pain and healthy women during gait; 2 - Compare the range of motion of trunk flexion, inclination and rotation, anteversion, pelvic obliquity and rotation, flexion / extension, abduction / adduction and internal / external rotation of the hip, flexion / extension and valgus / varus of the knee, dorsiflexion / plantar flexion and eversion / reversal of the hindfoot during initial contact, load response, and support phase between females with patellofemoral pain and healthy women during gait; 3 - Compare gait cycle time, cadence, velocity, simple support time, double support and step length between women with patellofemoral pain and healthy women during gait. A total of 270 women were evaluated, 129 in the control group (CG) and 141 in the patellofemoral pain group (PFD), all of them physically active, aged between 18 and 35 years. Compared with the asymptomatic group the cycle time and the percentage of simple support were higher in the PFD group, while the pitch length and velocity were smaller when compared to the healthy group. In the initial contact the control group presented external rotation of the hip and plantar flexion of the ankle, and the DFP internal rotation of the hip and ankle dorsiflexion. In the response the load increased internal hip rotation, greater ankle dorsiflexion, rearfoot eversion and greater angle of progression in external rotation of the DFP foot, compared to GC. The magnitude of the maximum value was greater for ankle dorsiflexion and for the angle of progression in external rotation of the DFP foot. There was more flexion of the trunk, less internal rotation of the hip and dorsiflexion of the ankle in the DFP for magnitude of minimum value. The range of motion in the support phase was greater for internal rotation of the hip in the group. No contato inicial o grupo controle apresentou rotação externa do quadril e flexão plantar do tornozelo, e o DFP rotação interna do quadril e dorsiflexão do tornozelo.

Under the Influence of Marc Blitzstein: Examining Leonard J Lehrman’s Uses of Serial Techniques for Dramatic Purposes in Karla

Blackwood, Jeremy B 12 1900 (has links)
American composer, author and conductor Leonard J. Lehrman (b. 1949) has spent a majority of his lifetime devoted to the scholarship on the music of Marc Blitzstein (1905-1964). Lehrman completed Blitzstein’s Idiots First in 1973, and finished his own one-act opera Karla in 1974. In an effort to honor Blitzstein, Lehrman included Karla along with Idiots First to begin the set of one-act operas to be titled Tales of Malamud. Lehrman coined the term “selective serialism” in reference to Blitzstein’s use of serial techniques representing something associated with death or something diabolical. Lehrman applies a similar technique in that he uses serialism to reference the presence of a handwritten notes that are tied to the dramatic context of the opera. This study examines Lehrman's use of serialism in Karla as it was directly influenced by Blitzstein’s use of serialism in Idiots First.

An obstetrician implants microchips in the babies he delivers so he can track their movements when they get older. The doctor is a white supremacist and determined to find evidence that supports his twisted vision of racial distinction. Eighteen years after his first implantations, two of the children he worked with commit a particularly brutal murder. The doctor turns them in anonymously and quickly becomes a kind of folk hero. But after a relentless New York Daily News reporter finds out how the murderers were identified, the doctor becomes a man on the run.

A study about nationalism and World War II experience

Jougi Guimarães Yamashita 01 October 2010 (has links)
