Les survivances du vocatif dans le français parlé / The remnants of vocative in french spoken

Bruno, Christophe 07 October 2013 (has links)
Recent models of French intonation (Philippe Martin) revealed the existence of a macro-syntax of speech (Blanche-Benveniste). The application of these models to rhetoric form called "apostrophe" provides many insights into the workings of this form. In particular, it helps to explain the distinction between referential apostrophe (the type of call) and predicative apostrophe (the type of insult). From these results, the study of the spoken language provides a compendium of observations and tools for historical linguistic research.

SolidWorks Parameterization for Industrial Robot Design

Saiz Sau, Marc January 2010 (has links)
<p>Development of Industrial robots is becoming more expensive and time consuming over the years. A lot of costs are spent in the development, and so it is necessary to improve the conceptual design phase.</p><p> </p><p>This thesis is an object lesson that shows one of the multiple ways to improve the named phase.</p><p>It basically consists on, using a CAD program, build a robot whose parameters have to be modified from a user interface. The parameters to change are the dimensions of the robot’s parts (morphology parameterization) and also the parts to use (topology parameterization), which can be chosen from a large library of different parts.</p><p> </p><p>Some parameters are changed so as the build robot has similar mass properties to a given one, in order to be able to do some tests with it and export the results to improve the real robot. For this reason, in the interface done there is also written some code to get the mass properties of the built robot. Even so, this thesis only shows how to do the named actions but it has not been done any kind of test.</p>

Saving, Capital Imports and Growth: A Macroeconometric Study of India

Dar, Atul January 1981 (has links)
In this study, a macroeconometric model of the Indian economy is constructed and estimated for the period 1957-1976. The model is evaluated in terms of its ability to forecast major endogenous variables through historic simulation, and is then used in a set of experiments to examine the short and long period effects of changes in various important exogenous variables. The model is growth-oriented, and focuses on the process of capital accumulation which is, amongst other things, an important determinant of growth in laboursurplus economies such as India. Supply factors play a major role in determining capital formation and output. Thus, the constraint imposed by the availability of resources -viz., saving and capital imports -is an important factor in the process of capital accumulation. Keynesian-type demand phenomena play a minor role in determining output. The forces of demand, however, are involved in determining prices which partly determine real resource supplies, which in turn, affect the rate of capital formation and hence the growth rate of output. In order to articulate important institutional and economic characteristics of the economy, the role of the government sector in the process of accumulation is separately and endogenously examined, the economy is disaggregated into four major sectors and the process of capital accumulation and other determinants of sectoral output are separately analysed. The sectoral rates of capital formation are determined within the context of an overall constraint on aggregate capital formation imposed by the real volume of resources -viz. , saving and foreign capital. The study also attempts to look at some additional aspects of foreign capital. Thus, one question that is examined is whether foreign resource inflows adversely affect the domestic resource mobilization effort -viz. , the saving effort (of the government) for a given level and structure of taxation, prices and income, ana/or the taxation effort itself. Further, a sub-motiel of the foodgrains sector is constructed and integrated with the rest of the system to examine specific as well as economywide effects of Public Law (PL 480) foodgrain aid to India. Of interest are the effects on foodgrain and agricultural output and investment, as well on output in other sectors. To deal with the simultaneity problem the model is estimated by a two-stage procedure based on principal components. The tracking ability of the model is found to be reasonably good in respect of major endogenous variables. There is some evidence of weak (adverse) effects of foreign resource inflows on government saving, though no such evidence is found for the tax effort. PL 480 foodgrain aid is found to be a less-than-perfect substitute for commercial foodgrain imports, thereby implying that there is some foreign exchange saving implicit in each unit of PL 480 imports. Our simulation experiments suggest that an increase in foreign capital inflows over a short period have only temporary favourable effects on the growth rate of the economy though the time-path of national output is permanently raised. Moderate increases in foreign capital inflows sustained over a longer period, merely raise the time-path of output but have no significant effects on the rate of growth. Reduced PL 480 aid compensated by increased foreign exchange aid has favourable effects on foodgrain and agricultural output, as well as on national income. If there is no compensating increase in foreign exchange aid, but a corresponding decline in capital transfers to the government, there are economy-wide contractionary effects. In both cases, ther supply of foodgrains in the economy is adversely affected. Other simulation experiments suggest the presence of the ''Please Effect" in that increased direct taxation leaves the aggregate volume of saving unchanged, while increased government spending based on money creation is largely absorbed through rising prices. / Thesis / Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

An On-Line Macro Processor for the Motorola 6800 Microprocessor

Hsieh, Chang-Boe 05 1900 (has links)
The first chapter discusses the concept of macros: its definition, structure, usage, design goals, and the related prior work. This thesis principally concerns my work on OLMP (an On-Line Macro Processor for the Motorola 6800 Microprocessor), which is a macro processor which interacts with the user. It takes Motorola assembler source code and macro definitions as its input; after the appropriate editing and expansions, it outputs the expanded assembler source statements. The functional objectives, the design for implementation of OLMP, the basic macro format, and the macro definition construction are specified in Chapter Two. The software and the hardware environment of OLMP are discussed in the third chapter. The six modules of OLMP are the main spine of the fourth chapter. The comments on future improvement and how to link OLMP with the Motorola 6800 assembler are the major concern of the final chapter.

AvaliaÃÃo sazonal de CarotenÃides provitamina A (alfa- e beta caroteno) e vitamina E ( alfa- tocoferol) em macroalgas marinhas pertencentes ao gÃnero Cryptonemia / Seasonal evaluation of provitamin A carotenoids (alpha and beta-carotene) and vitamin E (alpha tocopherol) in seaweeds of the genus Cryptonemia

RÃmulo Malta Nascimento 04 September 2009 (has links)
The objective of this research project was to investigate the existence of seasonal variation of both provitamin A carotenoids (&#61537;&#61485; and &#61538;&#61485;carotene) and vitamin E (&#61537;&#61485; and &#61540;&#61485;tocopherol) in two species of red marine macroalgae, Cryptonemia luxurians and C. crenulata. The alga samples were collected monthly from January to December of 2007, during the low tides of Pacheco Beach, Caucaia, CearÃ. The alga samples were dehydrated at 40ÂC for 15 h. The dried alga material was crushed into a fine powder and then submitted into the procedures of extraction with methanol, saponification with potassium hydroxide and partition with n-hexane. For simultaneous analyses of carotenoids and tocopherols the HPLC system consisted of a Waters Spherisorb-Hichrom S5 ODS-2 (4.6 x 250 mm) column and a mobile phase of MeOH: THF (95:5, v/v), delivered at 1.5 mL min -1 , with detection at 450 nm and 292 nm, respectively. In both species belonging to the genre Cryptonemia were detected &#61537;&#61485; and &#61538;&#61485;carotene throughout all the sampling months. In general, both species contained larger concentrations of &#61538;&#61485;carotene than &#61537;&#61485;carotene. Despite the macroalgae analyzed belonged to the same genre, it was possible to verify a variation in the concentrations of provitamin A carotenoids throughout the year. C. luxurians was elected as a better source of vitamin A than C. crenulata. Among the isomers of vitamin E, &#61537;&#61485;tocopherol showed the higher concentrations. C. luxurians showed the highest levels of both tocopherols. According to these results, C. luxurians and C. crenulata oven-dried at 40ÂC for 15 h are possibly better sources of vitamin E than vitamin A. To verify the seasonal behavior of the concentrations of provitamin A carotenoids and vitamin E, grouping analysis was utilized. Based upon the results of this analysis it was established that tocopherol concentrations showed a more substantiated variation in the macroalgae within the seasons of the year as well as among the two species. On the other hand, the provitamin A carotenoids, exhibited more stable concentrations considering the species and the seasons. Nevertheless, only with subsequent studies it will be possible to determine the factors and its influence on the variation of provitamin A carotenoids and vitamin E contents of the analyzed species.
