Jésus dans la littérature talmudique

Murcia, Thierry 30 November 2012 (has links)
This study presents a survey and a systematic analysis of the passages of Talmudic literature (Mishna – Tosefta – Palestinian Talmud – Babylonian Talmud – Midrashim), relative to Jesus or are supposed to be. The documents are examined, criticized and confronted to other sources of Jewish or Christian origin (Hellenistic Jewish literature, Jewish Apocrypha, rabbinic sources, Targumim, Toledot Yeshu – New Testament, Apostolic Fathers, Church Fathers). The investigation tries to answer to several questions: - What did the rabbis exactly know about Jesus? - Has their information any historical value? - Has their perception undergone some evolution? - Did the rabbis of the Talmud have access to the Gospels as a written source? The conclusion of this thesis is that all these documents are rooted in their Sitz im leben. They obviously attest – contra Peter Schäfer (Jesus in the Talmud, 2007) – that the rabbis had no direct acquaintance with the Gospels as written documents. This study also shows, concerning the Babylonian Talmud, that all the passages relative to Jesus belong to the last editorial layer of this corpus (VIIe-VIIIe century).

Femmes invisibles. Vivian Maier, Francesca Woodman / Invisible Women. The art of disappearing in the feminine photographic self-portrait. Vivian Maier, Francesca Woodman

Grébert, Marion 09 December 2019 (has links)
Drawing from the photographic self-portraits of Vivian Maier (1926-2009) and Francesca Woodman (1958-1981), this thesis argues that feminine figuration conveys an art of disappearing. Establishing that this art is, to a certain extent, at work across the iconography of the feminine, we are showing that it was brought to light within a specific context: the emancipation of women since the end of the 18th century, the invention of photography in the 19th century and the contemporary ecological crisis. Indeed, a poetic ecology emerges through the works of Vivian Maier and Francesca Woodman in particular, and the feminine photographic self-portrait as a whole, determined by the photographic technique and modern changes in women’s lives, where the destiny of feminine figuration in art history converges with the possible destiny of our species. From these self-portraits, this thesis offers to draw a new way of inhabiting the world in this historic moment of transition with regard to gender and nature.

Broadcasting the Faith: Protestant Religious Radio and Theology in America, 1920-1950

Pohlman, Mike 14 December 2011 (has links)
This dissertation argues that in the heyday of radio, religious-radio preachers sought to use their programs to counter the secularization of American culture. Ultimately, however, their programs contributed to secularization by accelerating changes already evident in both the conservative and liberal streams of American Christianity. To reach a vast American audience, radio preachers transformed their sectarian messages into a religion more suitable to the masses, thereby altering the very religion it aimed to preserve. This was one of the unintended consequences of American religious radio. Chapter 2 argues that Harry Emerson Fosdick's ministry contributed to a movement away from Protestant orthodoxy. Radio played an important role in Fosdick's successful effort to blaze a new theological trail for the modern era. Chapter 3 shows that Aimee Semple McPherson's experiential religion had an ecumenical appeal that reached areas across the world. As one of the most celebrated Christian figures of the early twentieth century, McPherson's ministry helped make the American church more accepting of important aspects of secularization. Chapter 4 argues that Walter Maier's ministry encouraged millions of people to believe in a simple orthodoxy. The message he broadcast eschewed Lutheran particulars for the bold proclamation of the basic convictions shared by Christian fundamentalists generally. Chapter 5 argues that Charles Fuller's ministry contributed to the transformation of American religion by defining it primarily in terms of evangelism. His success uncovered a particular mood in America: one tired of the militant fundamentalism of the early decades of the century but not ready to abandon the fundamentals of the faith for theological liberalism. Chapter 6 considers religious radio against the backdrop of the emergence of television as the dominant communication medium in America and draws out implications for religion in the modern age of the Internet. To make religion accessible to large and diverse audiences, radio preachers accommodated their messages in ways suited to the medium of radio. Although religious-radio preachers set forth to advance the influence of religion in American society, their choice to limit theological substance ironically promoted the secularization of the American church.

Rosikruciánství / Rosicrucianism

Slavíček, Tomáš January 2017 (has links)
This thesis is based on several chapters, which, after introducing the basic information, go deeper into the topic and develop it further. In the introduction, I am interested in the genesis of terms used in the work. I analyze their different etymology and geographical use and understanding. Here is a section dealing with the background of rosicrucianism, which freely translates into prominent figures and central writings. The work concludes with introducing the orders and their current activities on the territory of the Czech Republic.
