Motivated especially by the concern with the quality of teaching currently provided all over the country and seeking to understand how the institutional teaching assessment can serve as a source of information for the decisions taken by the managers of the courses. For such, a descriptive study of the kind 'case study with quantitative approach' was carried out turning to structured interviews applied to the students and their corresponding management teachers, using the multivariable statistical method and the analysis of correspondence for comparison of data collected. With the theoretical support of the references selected by several authors, the outcomes made it possible to identify six questions subject to conclusion, starting from crossing the institutional teaching assessment carried out by the students and the self-assessment completed by the teachers, providing important information for the management of the course above mentioned. So, assessing the paths taken along this process shall be a small contribution with the objective of transforming the teaching assessment process, more and more respected and update in accordance with the new context and the organizational, governmental and market requirements, once it corresponds to the important source of measurements and information for decision taking by the university managers. / Esta dissertação foi desenvolvida no curso de Administração de instituição de ensino superior, na cidade de Belém, com o intuito de compreender as principais variáveis que envolvem a avaliação institucional docente. Motivada principalmente pela preocupação com a qualidade do ensino atualmente ofertado em todo o país e buscando entender de que forma a avaliação institucional docente pode servir como fonte de informações para a tomada de decisão por parte da gestão dos cursos. Para tanto, foi feita uma pesquisa descritiva do tipo estudo de caso com abordagem quantitativa, por meio de entrevistas estruturadas, aplicadas aos alunos e a seus respectivos professores Administradores, com a utilização do método estatístico multivariado Análise de Correspondência para confrontação dos dados coletados. Com o suporte teórico do referencial selecionado de diversos autores, os resultados possibilitaram identificar, a partir do cruzamento da avaliação institucional docente realizada pelos alunos e da auto-avaliação respondida pelos professores, seis perguntas passíveis de conclusões, gerando informações importantes para a coordenação do curso em questão. Portanto, avaliar os caminhos percorridos visa uma pequena contribuição na transformação do processo de avaliação docente em processo cada vez mais respeitado e atualizado de acordo com o novo contexto e exigências organizacionais, governamentais e mercadológicas, na medida em que corresponde à importante fonte de medição e informações para tomadas de decisão por parte dos gestores universitários.

Initially, we examine relevant concepts on Knowledge Management and pinpoint their importance to Public Administration, particularly to hierarchical organizations such as the Armed Forces. Later on, we provide a brief contextualization of the theories of KM based on the organizational structure of the Brazilian Navy Quartermasters Corps and the current principles of the Neptune Program. We also highlight the continuous pursuit for excellence in Public Administration as a source of inspiration to fostering the consolidation of KM within organizations. The utilization of qualitative research methods allows for an accurate understanding of the tenets of KM and brings to the forefront the major facilitators and barriers to knowledge sharing in professional environments. This approach enables the identification of the main practical tools observed in the fieldwork and does not deprive oneself from bringing up different tools haply suggested by the respondents. Subsequently, this study makes evident that the Neptune Program, whose website may be regarded as a virtual environment of knowledge sharing, has the necessary requirements to take over the role of a provider of a shared space for knowledge creation - 'Ba'. In this sense, one may infer that the Neptune Program provides solid opportunities to consolidate KM within Brazilian Navy Quartermaster Corps. Finally, this work concludes that the Admiral Newton Braga Instruction Center (CIANB) has an outstanding potential to become the 'Corporate University for the Quartermaster Corps' in the near future. / Utilizando-se da perspectiva das teorias sobre Gestão do Conhecimento (GC), este trabalho tem como objetivo principal identificar os problemas e desafios que se apresentam às Organizações Militares responsáveis pela formação, especialização, aperfeiçoamento e capacitação dos Oficiais do Corpo de Intendentes da Marinha (CIM). Para tanto, são apresentados alguns conceitos relevantes sobre a Gestão do Conhecimento, bem como a sua importância na Administração Pública, em particular nos ambientes hierarquizados, como é o caso das Forças Armadas. Posteriormente, é feita uma breve contextualização sobre o caso, no que tange à estrutura organizacional analisada e os princípios do Programa Netuno, bem como sobre a busca pela excelência na gestão pública como fonte inspiradora. Utilizando-se da metodologia qualitativa de pesquisa, o trabalho busca compreender os principais aspectos relacionados à gestão do conhecimento, ressaltando as principais barreiras e facilitadores ao compartilhamento do conhecimento neste segmento, bem como elencando as principais ferramentas práticas observadas, e não se privando de trazer à tona algumas ferramentas sugeridas pelos entrevistados. Na sequência, traz a percepção de que o próprio Programa Netuno, fazendo uso de seu sítio eletrônico, possui atributos para assumir o papel de um contexto capacitante – 'Ba' – especialmente no ambiente virtual de compartilhamento do conhecimento, o qual oferece muitas oportunidades para consolidação da GC no Corpo de Intendentes da Marinha. E por fim, não menos importante, o trabalho conclui que o Centro de Instrução Almirante Newton Braga (CIANB) tem enorme potencial para se tornar a 'Universidade Corporativa do Corpo de Intendentes da Marinha'.

In this study, the historical peculiarities and the site conditions of the forest of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, München, Germany, are surveyed. Results from an extended forest inventory, which includes students' contributions, are summarized. Guidelines for current and future forest management are also discussed. The university forest supply manifold opportunities for teaching and training. In addition, they can be utilized efficiently for corresponding research projects. These forests bridge the gap between academic educational targets and actual practice. Interdisciplinary issues, research networking and links to the job market are significant requirements as well. Direct ownership by the respective university or by any other educational institution helps substantially to realize objectives in teaching and research. In the case of extemal ownership, long-lasting contracts and flexible management regulations, which grant scientific and educational liberties, are essential.
